Stockholder suggested a nickname for our D. Of course, this is premature, but fun nonetheless. My thought is "the thundering seize" since I believe we are going to lead the league in turnovers. I liked "a bunch of bandits" but in today's world you have to be careful what you say. Any good ideas....hopefully by season end this D will show the league how great they are and a nickname is worthwhile.

On a separate note I guess any unhappy players feel now if they act up they will be released and signed by the Patriots. This was a mistake on their behalf to sign Brown, he called Mike Mayock a cracker , imagine if that were reversed and he was called the N word my God the outcry. This POS should never play in the NFL again. What a disgrace the pandering to these thugs.

If a Patriot fan I'd be very turned off and embarrassed but of course they maybe have become immune after the Robert Kraft situation.

You are a funny guy and everyone can see where you coming from. But at least you are a disgrace for yourself.
Brown may be not the nicest person in the world but I bet he is way better in everything he does compared to you. Besides the crybaby department of course.

Your defending the actions of an individual like AB? wow! I guess your level of integrity has been exposed.

The Robert Kraft incident I think was a private matter more embarrassing than anything, AB used a racial slur and got upgraded to a better team .

We all know R. Cobb is good. He was just too much money and injury prone.

Yeah, Dallas and Prescott are really set up, and of course, having Zeke doesn't hurt either. Based on what I've seen this weekend, the teams in the NFC with offenses are Dallas (which is going to have 35 by the fourth quarter), Philadelphia, Rams, Vikings, Panthers and Skins in losses. I haven't seen the Saints yet, but they're probably high octane again too.

And that's just the NFC.

The cowboys are playing the Giants, contain Barkley and it’s pretty much over. And who do the Giants have on defense?

T.J. Hockenson Update

6 Attempts
5 Receptions
124 Yards
1 TD

Rookie of the year?
Well, we shall see...
Experts had predicted him to get 425 yards total this year. Well, he is already over 25% of the way there in just his 1st NFL game !!

R. Gary has got some catching up to do !!!

I will be sure to keep everyone posted as the year goes on, since I had to endure the R. Gary comments.

Doug, as much as you wanted Hock, I wanted Lamar Jackson the previous year. He was freakin' awesome in the opener.

For those who think I don't praise Aaron Rodgers nearly enough, I'll include this:

Among the 16 NFC QBs....not including Drew Brees who is playing tonight.....Rodgers was 8th in passer rating, 8th in yards/attempt, 11th in completion percentage and 8th in the percentage of passes that resulted in first downs.

Of course, none of the QBs who finished ahead of him had to play a good defense, and they all had better lines and better weaponry than Rodgers.
