Packers just traded Lenzy Pipkins for LB Antonio Morrison (colts).

That seeems like a very good value trade, I hope it doesn’t mean Burks is done for the season.

PipKins was a cut. I didn't like the way he turned his back to the Qb. This keeps Rollins on the team. 26 defensive people will be kept.

If you're saying Pipkins wasn't going to make the team to begin with, then trading him for a player of any caliber was a solid move.

If you're saying that Pipkins was not traded.. It was formally announced directly by the Packers about an hour ago.

If he is saying that Rollins is going to make the 53, that is hard to believe.

Does anyone think Morrison has unreached potential, or is he just what he is? I’m looking at this as trading a relatively inexperienced, undrafted player at a deep position who probably won’t ever see the field for a drafted player with starting experience at a position we are thin at. But can Morrison be further developed, or is he The dreaded”JAG”?

He came back from a bad knee injury in college ,he looks solid against the run so hopefully Burks injury is not serious then it looks like a good move, Morrison for the run Burks in on passing downs.

His analysis from the 2016 NFL Draft, courtesy of NFL.com:

"This two-time second-team All-SEC pick is undersized, but extremely productive; he hit triple digits in tackles in 2014 (101) and 2015 (103, leading the team), and doubled his impact in the backfield between those two seasons, going from six to 12 tackles for loss. The fact he played at all this fall was a tribute to his work ethic, as he came back from undergoing multiple surgeries on his left knee to repair an injury from the 2014 Birmingham Bowl. However, teams will have to check into his background due to two arrests (punching bouncer, barking at a police dog/resisting arrest) within five weeks in the summer of 2013. If he can convince general managers that his hard times are behind him, they'll bank on his talent."

Morrison, 23, was a 4th-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Florida. He's netted 97 total tackles so far in his NFL career. In two season with Indianapolis, he’s started 19 of 32 games.

Glad to see Gute sticking to his word of exploring every avenue of improving the Packer roster. We need linebacker depth. I'll be watching Morrison in the 4th preseason game.

He also led the Colts in tackles last season, but I read elsewhere that among all starting linebackers, he was ranked somewhere in the mid 80's. Considering the number of starting LB's in the league is somwhere between 96 and 128.. that's not great.

Either way, I like getting experience where we're thin by moving a guy with little experience where we are (seemiingly) deep.
