My power was pretty much out from Thursday morning to Sunday morning so I'm rediscovering this internet thing. Now I see this piece about bringing back Alexander.

No. Just no.

Why in the world would GB even consider re-signing the "always hurt" Jaire Alexander? Leaving GB the way he did, not being willing to work with us on a contract, is reason enough not to even think about this. Injuries are the other reason.

There are and will be other way better choices for GB to add Vets to the CB room. Rasul Douglas would make way more sense to be a Packer @ $3 million, Diggs if the health issues and price is low. Other players will be cut, Kelee Ringo is rumors to be on his way out of Philly, he is a 3rd round pick in 2023 and would be a very talented CB to take a minimum flyer on. Even though he hasn't been able to start for the Eagles, he would be an upgrade on every CB we have other than maybe Nixon & St Juste. And he wouldn't cost much more than the bottom 5 CBs we have now.

The Chiefs just signed Kair Elam, former Bills first round pick, for $1 million. I understand he hasn't realized the potential of a first round pick, and hasn't been retained by the Cowboys & Titans, but at $1 million per isn't he a better roster CB than the bottom 4 we have now? It's about upgrading the entire CB room NOW. We are always billed as being a "Contender" but unless we fix our biggest position weaknesses, we will continue to be a "Pretender."

This Packers FO forward-thinking is getting a tad backwards.

I would have to hear all the right things coming from his agent and him with a contract that the team can get out of at any moment and not lose anything. Not sure you can do game to game contracts but that would be the only way I would consider it. One wrong word or injury and you your off the books.

It's a shame someone so talented, left football at age 28.

I know his injury history, maybe a bit of a head case. But i remember a guy who covered like glue.

In light of our cornerback situation, if willing, sign him to a 1 year vet minimum deal, no guaranteed money.

Literally, nothing to lose.
Downside: Cut him in camp. 🤷‍♂️
Upside: Maybe he got himself right and got humbled.
I don't know.
But it would cost nothing to find out.
