The title of this episode is a bit deceptive in the sense that it is far more than a recap of the practice. Justis goes into some serious depth about his perception of why some 53 man roster decisions will be made. If you opt to skip watching this one, you are making a mistake, imo. Really good content.

This is Justis’ ST drives 1/3 of the roster obsession reiterated. again. It will be interesting to see how accurate it proves, but to me it passes the point where we start to weaken O & D options schematically and in terms of depth quality.

It also assumes that Bissacia gets essentially his first choices for almost every role and won’t be asked to adapt to incorporate players that make the roster for O and D prowess and balance.

Sorry, I just can’t bring myself to believe it goes as far as he’s convinced himself, forcing us to overload at positions and weaken others, such as TEs over WRs, DEs over NTs or corners, and take a less good role player over a better player who is less favored as a STer or simply force us not to have a run specialist NT.

There undoubtedly is some logic in his basic premise, but to me he’s taken it well past the point of rational returns and it’s on full display here how it shapes his passionate predictions. We will see later next week I suppose. Perhaps he’s a savant this time.
