Good that Jordan Love's not throwing bunches of interceptions like he did last off-season. Also good that Matthew Golden is getting involved and looking like he belongs.

A couple things:
I drafted Jihaad Campbell instead of Matthew Golden, and I still believe that would have been better for the Packers. (I expect downvotes!) We wouldn't be messing around with McDuffie and Hopper and Simmons. A Walker-Cooper-Campbell trio would have been the best LB corps in the NFL, and we'd still have Doubs, Wicks, Reed, Williams Watson at WR.
Everyone is downplaying Jacob Monk, but I think he is another Rasheed Walker, who never got activated as a rookie but became a starter. Some reminders about Monk: 9.74 RAS; 31 bench reps--one of the top; 10" hands, 1.66 10 yard split was the BEST of all OL; 5.09 40 at 308 pounds: 5 year starter and 3 year Captain; played OT, RG, and C. He needed some development of techniques, but he is supposedly "cerebral," so I think he could be much better this yar.

It might have been hard to justify another first round pick at LB, considering that usually only two of them are on the field at the same time. Do you think if they had taken Campbell they could've stuck with three LBs on the field most of the time?
I hope you are right about Jacob Monk. Andy thinks he's playing center in OTAs just as a stopgap until Elgton Jenkins comes back, and if the season started right now, Sean Rhyan would be the backup. I would love to see Monk grab that backup center spot and not let go of it. He will probably need to play some guard to be active on game days though.

I absolutely think they could have kept three LBs on the field virtually all of the time if the three were Walker, Cooper and Campbell. Campbell is basically a faster clone of Cooper.
Both are good in coverage, and at blitzing and getting TFLs.
I think Golden is going to be very good, but I think Campbell would have TRANSFORMED the defense.

Thanks, FYI I am not the one who is downvoting your posts, I think your idea is interesting although I'm still glad they went with Golden. We will never know what would have happened had they taken the other fork in the road.
I admit I shamelessly wanted them to take a WR if MacMillan or Golden was available. I wasn't completely sold on Egbuka and was glad the Buccaneers took him instead of Golden. I was also not heartbroken that the top DTs were gone, with Golden still available. And Shemar Stewart gone too, hallelujah!

I don’t concern myself with downvotes; there are childish (or actual children) people that downvote completely neutral, mild comments on here. I’ve seen some that boggle the mind.
I personally only downvote comments that are ridiculous, cowardly attacks on posters. I think I’ve done about three downvotes in the past ten years. 😃
Basically, I find downvotes meaningless.
