No matter how many times Gutekunst says he likes the big guys because they hold up against the run better, no matter how many times it's pointed out that we have four pretty good DEs in the rotation under contract, no matter how many times it's pointed out that other spots on the team could use a first round pick, we continue to lust after the speedy edge rusher who will put some pressure on the QB twice a game.

I think the biggest problem area is at WR. I also think this is a very deep DT class and we could take one at #54, in the second round who could replace Slaton. We also have Brooks and Wooden, plus Clark and Wyatt.

In the third, I'd get another WR, because we're trying to upgrade the unit, not just replace Watson.

I havent been avidly following the draft situation other then reading some mocks that are fun to read, but I dont see a lot of talented edge guys in this draft. The few that are will be gone by pick 10.
Again this year, no surprise, the Pack need a lot and this draft cant fill all those holes. I dont see the Pack getting any sensational, game changing players, mostly guys who can play and fill a hole maybe.
The Bears, Vikings have already improved a lot since last year, except QB is iffy. The Lions havent done that much and need and Edge, linebackers who can make it through a game, and corners galore.
Ones that are smart enough to play corner that is.
So were all kind of in the same mix here.

From my perspective the first priority is improving the overall pass rush on the front four. Take the best available at either edge or DL at 23. Stewart or Harmon would both be great at 23.....I think.
Depending on the status of Jaire; address CB or WR in rounds two and three.
Gute is the expert (aside from me and all the Cheesehead fans) so,the team is in good hands.
