Mack would be great to have, but he’s not a long term solution at 34 going into next season. If we sign Mack, we’d need to draft almost as if we did not and develop behind him. At 34 we’d also need to be lucky. Can he give Calais Campbell and Julius Peppers a run for superannuated production and health?

I think you hit on the point that Campbell and Peppers are/were physical freaks.

Mack was part of a DE rotation with the Chargers that had him playing 56% of the snaps. That fits right in with what the Packers like to do. He can still influence offensive game plans with that kind of play time. I could see a signing of this type to try to push off using a high pick on a DE--and creating flexibility to fortify other spots--but it wouldn't stop them from speculating later in the draft.

Our season ended in a 22-10 loss. If Khalil Mack can help us score more than 10 points, fine. I don't think he can.

Or maybe it means they score less and thus we don’t have to. More than one way to score more than an opponent.

Yeah, that's just stupid. Have you paid any attention to what's going on in the playoffs? We held Philadelphia to 22. That's the lowest winning total of any playoff game. If your plan/hope is to win games while scoring 20 or less, then you need a new plan. It isn't going to happen. 12 playoff games this year and 22 is the lowest winning score. Last year, in 13 playoff games, the winner had at least 24 in 12 of them.

Normally - absolutely not at his age and stage of career. However he's proven to be a physical freak - like LeBron - so "yes" to a contract offer @ 1 yr. between 15-20m. In the meantime, *Mike Green on April 24th?

* subject to Senior Bowl scouting report

Offense is clearly the biggest issue, stemming from how the last 4 games went.

You need to spend money in free agency

Green Bay isn’t exactly a eye opening destination

This team has the ability to win, and win now.

Drafting projects isn’t going to cut it.

Is Mack at the tail end of his career? Sure

But signing him helps a struggling pass rush

Not only does that need to be addressed but the horrendous corner room needs to be improved in free agency
