I agree with you on the poor play calling decisions. Glad to hear someone willing to call it rather than just blindly praise LaFleur as an offensive genius above scrutiny.

Wahle was off a little saying 42 passes but I actually was surprised it was 39 attempts. That's a bit crazy in the rain, even though they were forced to throw more in the 2nd half. It makes me wonder how much freedom love has to change the call at the line and if some of going away from the run was on him.

That ultimately would be something if expect a coach to manage, if it’s not working reel it in. Given the absence of Jacobs for most of the third quarter, I suspect it’s more play caller than QB.

I am in the camp that would not have played Love that day anyway, perhaps the most concerning thing I’ve heard Love say is that the injury had absolutely no effect on his mobility. BS based on what’s on tape. Play your best players on the day, not your best players on paper. That should be the Head Coach’s call and his alone. By half time it was even more difficult to defend. That’s despite accepting that Love was making good throws at times.

I'll agree with Coldworld. Also, (and I know it's been said often) LaFleur needs to stop taking the ball if the Packers win the toss. Take the guaranteed possession to start the second half and give the D that much more rest. Whether they're ahead, behind, or tied, there's no downside to having the ball to start the second half. Scoring first doesn't scare any team when they have the whole game ahead of them to counter.

I fear I detect signs of unwarranted bravado among Packer commentators & fans. Beware. The Bears have won 4 games. If not for an outbreak of stupidity compounded by a last play fluke, they would have 5 wins.
