I think the hype about Parker was artificial news. There's 0 reason for him to become GB's new DC other than he's previously been with MLF and GB on the defensive side of the ball so there's familiarity with him but that's been a disaster in the past as the whole hire within has failed countless times.

1.) He's not a DC and never has been so has no proof he can run a defense or call plays at any level.
2.) His most recent team in the Broncos allowed 70 points and his secondary that he's in charge of is 5th worst in the NFL this season.

I seen youtubers make an argument for him because of the qay he talks and sounding smart. LMAO that doesn't mean shite as you can say all the right crap but that doesn't make you a great DC. It's a huge gamble to think he's going to magically be a great DC noq or in the future. This team can be a dynasty but acquiring a dude like Parker is a major mistake and stealing future SB's from this team.

Vrabel
Leonhard
Michigan DC
Previous Bills DC
Aranda

These are proven dudes and not some pipe dream with a bunch of hype (rising star, sounds like Mike Tomlin, etc).

Many people have been saying that Leonhard is 'Out of the picture' and (this time around) we've only really heard about him from big Badger fans?
Why is this?
Is he so satisfied at Illinois that he wants to stay there? Does he have concerns about LaFleur?
What's the story?

It seems like there's a bigger field of potential candidates this year than there was in 2021. Also, Leonhard's stock has apparently dropped along with his career arc.

He's already a DC for the Super Bowl champion Chiefs. Why would he do a lateral move to become DC of the Packers? Unless there's a humungous raise involved, that would make absolutely zero sense for him. Besides he's currently under contract. You can't just "get" him.

Little confused why we are looking at guys (other than Staley) that aren’t experienced DC’s. This should be a desirable position. A team ready for a playoff run, stable organization and a bunch of young talent. Seems odd we might be taking a flier on and unproven guy. We are ready to win now. I don’t want to see us waste a couple years while our DC “learns” his job.

Seems like the experienced DCs have either lost their luster in the past year or two, or they would potentially be difficult to work with. Which ones do you think might be a good fit for the Packers?

Probably Evero? Don’t even know if he can be had?

Panthers have been blocking interview requests for Evero. They have a new head coach, and they probably want to keep Evero as DC.

I was afraid of that. Any other experienced options?

Because if they come in, they will be expected to succeed. If they don't, their job will be on the line almost immediately.

Does one good year as Rams DC make Brandon Staley a defensive genius when he had Aaron Donald and some other high level players in that unit? I guess I'd like a bigger body of work to back up the buzz surrounding Staley.
