O line has not played great. There are 12 men at the position. The greatest athlete to have ever lived, Michael Jordan, is on the PS. Lol. Roster specs him as a fifth year player, 6'6" 315. Newman is listed as 6'5" 310 and he's such a wash I don't know why he's given a roster spot, so obviously height / weight specimen isn't everything, even with Newman's RAS of 8.72. Would love to see him work out and he has done some effective run blocking.

We've got so many huge guys it seems that Zach Tom at T is just a mistake. He wasn't drafted to play OT, and Gutey's said C is probably his best position. While Bakh is out of the picture why isn't Mt Caleb in the conversation? He was dominant in TC, and has yet to play his first down in the NFL. Seems like a waste of a roster spot to me. I would have loved to have seen him (and some other huge guys) come in last season on 3rd or 4th and short to get away from playing hero ball and try to keep a drive alive. Plus getting film on these guys to help them develop.

Nijman / Walker / Jones at OT, Telfort and Tenuta at 6'7" & 6'8", we want them on the interior?!? This depth seems more natural at OT. That leaves 7 for the interior, including Bakh who's out for at least this season. Myers and Rhyan are both 6'5", and IOL. Seems like the GB type is that's max for the interior, and anyone bigger is reserved for OT.

Zach Tom at 6'4" 304# isn't playing out of position? He's still figuring it out in his second year, wouldn't he have a better chance to dominate on the interior and let bigger guys play OT?

So between Nijman Jones and Walker at OT, EJ at LG, Zach Tom Myers and JRJ for C and RG, we should have at least a good O line. It remains to be seen if Myers is better playing next to somebody other than JRJ, or if Zach Tom is the better C and which is the better RG. Maybe Myers is the better C, Tom is the better RG, and JRJ is a GREAT backup at RG; no shame in that.

I'm beyond disappointed that this was not figured out in TC. Currently, I like what Mike Wahle said about fixing footwork is much more important than any possible personnel change. Why not have Bakh come in and give a clinic on fundamentals for the whole position group including PS? Include pass rushers and DL if appropriate. Bakh's technique is GREAT, I've never seen him do anything but DOMINATE. Why bring in an outside consultant when #69 is on the team? Nobody else could do this better, or with as much credibility. "Veteran leadership," personified!

Coaches don't see this?!? MLF has NEVER shared the weekly NFL film of what refs will focus on, obviously. After 5 years, this doesn't implicate Gutey? Or Mr. We Are Not Idiots? Wouldn't you think it would come up in conversation, so how did the team take this week's film, wasn't that wild? And then MLF would have to hide the fact he's never shown it to the team, and start doing that to avoid being fired. Duh.

We'll be outcoached Sunday. Kudos to the team effort last Sunday despite all these problems I'm sure they're keenly aware of.
