MIke Braun was a nice guest. It is interesting that he brought up the positive play of Devonte Wyatt recently. Interesting on that play Bruan said Wyatt was playing 1 technique though I don't know why he was there because I didn't remember the play Braun described. Then you noted that Wyatt's technique had improved. Wyatt needs to blossom if Kenny Clark is going to decline into obscurity. I have no interest in watching the packers pay Clark $17M in cash for 2024.

Clark is a candidate for a release with a June designation to gain $17M in cap savings for 2024. Rashan Gary has the Packers over a barrel. Clark has a $27M cap number in 2024 and in order to use a June designation, that has to remain in place into the 2024 league year. Did Davante Adams really want $28M AAV or did he just want out of GB or into Las Vegas? Does Gary really want Bosa money? Can the Packers let him get into unrestricted free agency? 11 games before Gary becomes a UFA - and the disability policy gets cheaper the fewer games it has to cover.

Drafting guys in the first round who lack technique has been a theme lately. Gary, Wyatt, Walker, and Van Ness all needed coaching. Zach Tom in the 4th is the counterpoint: Tom already had great technique, great feet and balance. Probably a good thing given the lack of offensive line coaching prowess in GB. Did Tom improve even more in 2023 due to coaching or just normal adjusting to the NFL and becoming a professional. I hated the Quay Walker pick. Guys who lack any semblance of instincts should not be picked in the first round. Guys who are part time in college should not be first round picks. Guys who lack production in college need a long assessment to determine why.

I am listening to your Happy Hour podcast now. You went into this draft and develop stuff a bit there. Guess I listened out of order. Van Ness lacks technique. Another athlete over accomplished player pick. Not much to choose from. Broderick Jones could have been selected, but he needs some work as well. So, Van Ness, Walker, Wyatt, Love, and Gary were all projects in need of plenty of coaching before being viable starters in the NFL. The first rounders who could play as rookies were Alexander in 2018 and Stokes in 2021.
