I’m going to be keeping my eye on Cotton an as outsider in addition to those you mentioned. Admittedly, he only appeared in the one media accessible OTA, but as you mentioned in your summary of that practice, he caught to DS and a big gain. With his mix of size and speed, if he puts it together through camp, he could easily force his way on to the roster despite being an unknown to most of us up until now. Speed with good size that can get open and catch is hard to pass on if he could to use to show up.

WRs are guys that you can take time to develop gradually, and when you start putting them in games, you aren't necessarily planning on throwing them the ball.
We've had quite a few WRs depart, and often we suit up 5, carry 6, and put another one or two on the PS. We're depleted....Adams, MVS,St. Brown, Lazard, Cobb.....all out the door. We need guys with an upside that we can see if we can find a use for.
I'd be surprised if we didn't start the season with Watson, Doubs, Toure, and Reed. That doesn't leave a lot of room on the 53 man roster for the other guys, Melton, Wicks, Cotton, et. al....Somebody is going to have to go on the PS to start the season.

Well, here is hoping injury doesn’t intervene, but the battle behind those 4 is likely to be fierce and fun. We get better if players emerge. This is a year where better is more important than familiarity again.

Depth on PS is good by me :)
Legitimate competition will hopefully determine roster, I'm not sure how much of that we've seen in recent years. Hopefully the coaching staff is going to develop everyone as much as possible, and ace evaluation.
I never understood new guys skipping practice.

I remember a hockey gm saying - if I see a good smaller player and a good bigger player - I'm choosing the good bigger player every time. Cotton's size-speed mix could be deciding factor between him and the others - particularly if he shows a willingness and ability - in playing on special teams.
