We play one inside linebacker on more than 50% of the defensive snaps. That guy is Campbell. He has a backup in Barnes. Any ILB we'd draft is going to spend most of his time on the bench as long as Campbell is healthy, not just this year, but next year and the one after that, too. I know these are good football players, but this is an opportunity to exercise a little discipline.

Three WRs. Three OL taken on Day 2, because I'm serious about having the best offensive line in the league. Two TEs.
Plenty of protection for our QB, plenty of targets to throw to.

Keyshawn Johnson said this morning KC is going to add Tyreke Hill’s replacement maybe in R1 or possibly R4…. Take a guess who the USC Alum is talking about…
That’s why I want him up top. We’re going to have to steal him away before KC does, which is what I’ve been advocating we do for weeks here. Saints jumped ahead of us for TWO R1s too (19 & 20) for a reason. They’re not taking a QB. In THIS draft? Hell no. Not with Jamison Winston in his prime. They need OT and WR, just like we do.
If we don’t steal him away, someone else will. THAT’s what the Davante pick is for, precisely.
Other thoughts:
Burks scares me a bit. Look at the game logs. He didn’t do much v. Top teams. Against Alabama he had a couple scores playing catch-up. Goose eggs for scoring against the others, with minimal yds. 30 yds. against Georgia. That scares me.
What are the odds of Pickens making any kind of worthwhile contribution this season vs. a top defender at 53?
Leal scares me almost as much as Burks. He is way too tweener for my liking. He’s a bit like a man without a position on DL.

Were I GB's GM, I'd trade up to about 15 and take Jameson Williams. He combines track speed with everything you need from a WR. He even plays ST! Even if we have to wait till mid-season to get him on the field, he is the missing piece for this team. If I could also get my hands on any of the other top 5 WRs I'd do it. Williams and Burk would be most complementary. I'd also get Trey McBride in R2 if possible. I love defense too but I think we need to get at least guys who can catch the ball in this draft, if not four.

For the life of me I cannot comprehend fans wanting to spend a ton of resources on a guy who just had ACL surgery, or a broken ankle…
We need instant starters from ROOKIES!
Are you thinking they will come in in November, and won’t require 8 games to get semi comfortable with their new position in LaFleur’s offense..???!!!
I find this maddening. Are we in some alternate universe where these injured players become instant stars, after medical clearance? I’m sorry, are we allowing for rookies to develop over a two year span? Is that the plan??? Said no one???
Did you see what Deguara was able to contribute last year? Bakhtiari?
