Great analysis, Andy. I agree with you on your points of emphasis. The run defense better come to play. The 9ers will try and run the ball, move the chains, and keep 12 on the sideline. Jimmy G will probably just make short, safe passes to move the chains and keep him out of trouble. That's what I would do. Ideally, we need to get a lead again, but this time don't allow the 9ers back in the game. If it comes down to that I hope, for once, the Packers keep the petal to the metal and show a killer instinct.
The special teams do worry me a bit. It will be cold, the ball isn't going to travel as far, so expect some runbacks and punt returns as well. I've been concerned all year that once the Packers are in the playoffs, how much more of an impact our ST's will potentially have in the outcome of the game. As always, turnovers are a key so taking care of the ball is big! The last key for me is field position which is tied to so many things. Hopefully, we don't have to make so many long scoring drives. GPG!

Considering that Jimmy G now has a sprained shoulder, the run defense had better show-up! Almost a shame if you look at it like, if the Pack throws-up a bunch of points in the beginning and makes them one-dimensional, needing the run ... and the Pack can hold them to minimal yards ... it should be fun!

The difference between us and them is Rodgers. If we play smart we have no excuses. Stop the run and you kill their offensive engine.

In contrast, we need to bruise them from the outset. Hit them hard with Dillon, force them to take the run seriously and tire them. Let Dillon, even Taylor, pound to open width and then let Jones do his thing and let Adams and Cobb use those open spaces. Hopefully we have MVS to stretch them deep and keep safeties honest.

We are them plus Rodgers. Our secondary is better. Make them throw, make them stop Dillon, kill them with our version of Deebo, Jones and Adams and Cobb, which they have nothing close too. Play tight on their receivers and we may have some defensive highlights.

If we play this smart, we have no excuse. This is a Dillon game regardless of YPC. He’s the can opener on O. Rodgers just needs to be patient and then the executioner. Moore needs to return all kicks and punts.

One scary problem is the 9ers had a viable pass rush without Bosa. They still were able to press and force throws or get a few sacks and their two bests rushers were missing. Dont know if either will suit up for game yet but the O line will be tested and then some.
Cant say much about the run game of Dallas to compare to our own game, Pollard is their best back but like one analyst said, when you have the higest paid rb in football in Eliot you play him and he did nothing, either because of the 9er d or because he sucks.
Our ran game did okay against all opponents this year.
May issue is we went to Stokes as our future and he has shown nothing. He is not and never will be a shut down corner. Unless he learns to play corner and press before Sunday, were in trouble, with him and King on the field.

Yes, Stokes has shown nothing. He’s never going to be any good. Terrible rookie showing. That’s our biggest issue no doubt. That and the lack of a sarcasm font.

Always worth the listen.

Interesting that Andy assumes Lucas Patrick will get the start at RG. He might well be right, and I can make the argument for starting Patrick over Newman. I predicted it would be Newman.

The injury report on Wednesday will be interesting, though I suppose it will list all the returnees as limited, which tells us little.
