More Teams Readying For Lockout To Be Over

Both the Niners and the Cowboys are making preparations for the lockout to end in the next few days.

A day after reports surfaced that the Packers had contacted players in preparation for the end of the nearly five month long lockout, two more teams were reportedly making their own preparations for a post-lockout world.

First came this from Ron Borges of the Boston Herald:

49ers telling their medical team to get ready to begin examining players sunday.

Shortly after that came this from Charean Williams of the Star Telegram in Fort Worth:

Cowboys coaches have been summoned back to work

In her accompanying post, Williams writes:

In another example that the lockout is close to ending, Cowboys coach Jason Garrett summoned his coaches back to work today at the team's Valley Ranch training headquarters.

According to a source, the coaches weren't due back for another couple of days. But they were called back to work today.

Obviously, neither of these developments are as dramatic as the Packers calling selected players - but it still points to the fact that teams are beginning to operate as though the end of the lockout is within sight - most likely as soon as the day after tomorrow.
