When Ted took Hunley from UCLA I decided to check him out since he wasn't a name I was fam with as an avid college FB fan.
I was not impressed with hi stats and expected little and he didn't let me down.

Decided to scope out Love this time. First he played three seasons. His avg pass was 8.6 yds.
His best pass % 61.5. His last season 20 tds to 17 interceptions

Duh this ain't first round pick stuff. These are avg numbers at best. We drafted a guy who was comfortable throwing short passes. He also threw 30 picks in three years. And those are 12 game seasons.

So those of you expecting to see long ball development and accuracy may be hoping for something he can't do. This guy is back up material at best and even that is a stretch.
When your tossing 30 picks against guys who mostly didn't get drafted, ouch.

Im with you on all of this...I also checked out his college career, he didnt stand out to me, in a crappy conf. too...now three years of coaching at an NFL level he hasn't shown any improvement in anything....another Hundley at best...watch and see...there are a couple of true rookie QB's out performing him and showing real promise this season...time to start scouting the college QBs' again, hopefully they make a better pick this time around...

Completely agree. In college, he didn't show anything particularly special, and I don't think he'll be able to compete fully with other professional players. I also played football in high school, but in college, I focused more on my studies. Sometimes I used online tutoring platform for live homework help https://mysupergeek.com/ when I got stuck with my assignment. But overall, my choice was to prioritize education. On the contrary, he made his choice to focus on sports, so I believe he needs to put in more effort if he wants to remain a professional athlete.

Get rid of front office MGT that is where the problem exists. Poor drafting and free agent acquisitions.

good discussion. But who's surprised the D is ahead of the O at this point? Secondly, Andy is correct: MLF couldn't figure it out (and, after a mini-bye). Aaron: with AJ out, where's the plan to use the other "players"? I don't think MLF knows Love's strenths/weaknesses yet it would appear and why does it look like Watson is too often running a go route? I ask where were the balls to Musgrave, Doubs or Reed in the first half. Is there a disconnect or did the script just plan to pound Dillon? Aaron is correct, get Love moving..but mix it up.

Where is/was the hurry up offense?

Honestly, the decision to let 3-4 veteran players go is really hurting GB. It will now and throughout the season. You let 2 valuable TE's leave (Tonyan/Big Dog) and should have begged Big Dog to stay, Tyler Davis or not! Duh, 2 potentially good TE draftees doesn't mean you're gonna be competitve with that part of the offense. You let both Cobb & top yard leader Lazard go. Now it's really beginning to show. This is a mgmt error and I'm probably a little hard on Matt about it.....but he tries to coach whom ever he has.

A young upward projecting QB needs to work with experience!! Ya think???!

What i hated most was calling 2 straight ahead running plays after the long ball to Watson to the 3. Of course they expect you to run it up the middle!! Call play action quick pass to TE or corner route but throw it early. I've had McCarthy nightmares of him doing the same (expected) plays over & over. Show some creativity/call something unexpected please. Thanks guys!

Start Clifford.

Nothing against love the young man, but four years in does not process quickly. Game too fast.

Clifford... Quick feet. Surveys field, makes quick reads. High energy...gutsy. double major and minor from Penn State. Has his own business already.

49ers made big mistakes trading capital to move up and grab lance. But they had the wisdom to move on to Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy.

Not saying that we don't have problems on line. Not saying that Lefleur isn't a bad play caller.

Saying that Clifford is quick, gutsy, intelligent and that he showed more in the pre season than love did in all his first three years. Remember, love got all those snaps during years Rodgers didn't come to otas. He got all those snaps when Rodgers toe was injured and while he had a broken thumb. All the other first rounders are pretty much forced into the starting lineup their first year Not all succeed, some do. As mentioned, Brick Purdy did his first year when forced into line up

Everyone makes mistakes, the ability to acknowledge and move on quickly is vital.

The quarterback, the coach and the organization as a whole right now seems to slowly react and adapt. That's why we continuously get the same responses at press conferences after games by Lefleur.

Being consistent when you are winning is one thing; being consistent when you lose is another.
