Should the packers trade their #1 in 2021. for another 2nd and third this year knowing they'll get comp picks?

No team will make that trade. The Pack would have to throw in more. Likely a 4th this year and a 1st next year. Not likely to happen.

Really, that #30 is an extremely valuable pick in this draft, and I would not trade down with it. What I would do is use draft capital Gutekunst has built on the back end of this draft to add an additional R3.
Even then, this draft seems uniquely rich in talent through all 7 rounds. I'd be perfectly fine with them just picking where they stand in each round.
For instance, trading up into R3 for an added pick there will cost our R4 and a number of other picks. This draft is really special. Perfectly fine with them letting the whole thing fall to them with 10 selections, and this much talent to be had at multiple positions. Especially so with our FA status NEXT year. Could use some of these picks to shore up positions we won't be able to afford to extend next season, ie: getting OL late that we can commit a solid year to developing in the system, adding RBs with both AJ & JW contracts up, Add TWO NT/DTs if we can't afford Clark, etc.
This draft, being so talent rich, might be a good one for Gutekunst to cover his bases for the future, while adding the best starters/depth he can at important positions for 2020.

Who thumbed-down this guy's question?
Go screw yourself. It's a legit question.

I had a moment yesterday to look at the CHTV Draft Guide and so far it's AWESOME! I've purchased it for the last several years and I love it. Can't wait for the weekend to REALLY check it out!
Thanks to Al, Aaron, and ALL the others who contribute to the Draft Guide. I really enjoy it every year!

In no particular order, draft 2 OL, 2DL, 2 IBL, 2WR, 2QB, and pick up 2 RB through undrafted free agency.
We need some more depth in each of these areas.
Frank Bag of Doughnuts would approve.

Great work by all of my buds here at cheesehead tv.....!!!! Thank you for putting this together. Makes for some fun reading with a ton of great insights into our team needs, draft histories and the numerous, comprehensive player reviews of those who might make their way to the Green & Gold. Really appreciate all of your efforts. Awesome group of top contributors as well. I highly encourage any of you fellow fans who LOVE the NFL Draft to get a copy!
Every year for the past 30 years I've researched the draft as my great escape, all on my own, culling info from many, many sources. Never had gotten the CHTV Draft Guide before. I'll be buying one every year from now on. Another gem of info to look forward to next year for sure, but for now, I'll enjoy the hell outta this one!!!! (VERY reasonably priced too! THX!!!)
I cannot begin to tell you my appreciation for all that you people do for the world's Packer Fans, and how much that means. Especially so in these times.
Smart living, safety, and good health to all of you, and to my fellow fan friends here (I really enjoy sharing ideas on our Packers team with each and every one of you)! GO PACK!!!! - Timo (greengold)
