Outside of a couple plays, Spriggs looks good tonight. Murphy is a train wreck.

Felt better about our #1 run D . Much better than last week. Kenny Clark is a stud and Wilkerson played better. Gilbert looked good against starters. Alexander looked awkward and short on the 47 yard pass on the Raiders first drive. He then redeemed himself with the pick. Josh Jackson is the real deal.

At this point, Just cut Murphy. There won't be much available, but there has to be something better than him being released on final cuts across the league next week. . That was truly hard to watch and he looked just as bad against 2nd and 3rd stringers. Spriggs looked a little better this week.

What exactly do the coaches have these guys doing during pregame warmups that can cause a dislocated shoulder? Hopefully Burks will be ok and ready for the season opener!

Just from the eye test:

Josh Jones looks good.
Fackrell is surprisingly tolerable.
The rookie corners are inconsistent but explosive.
Spriggs has made the team.
Biegel has looked active, but there's no pressure up the middle to capitalize.
Montravious Adams looks good.

And finally, it makes no difference who returns punts, BECAUSE NO ONE CAN BLOCK.

The Packers really don't look like a good team. No one open. No time to throw. No holes for running backs. No blocking on punt returns or kick returns. Poor anchoring against the run. Blown coverages. Another shanked punt.

Right now, this team is garbage. I'm sick of this.

To be fair, we played our back end of the roster on offense all night against their starters for the most part and not always in their main position . It wasn’t pretty but didn’t really expect it. As a result, not much time for the QBs and dismal run blocking.

Spriggs played better than I expected in a line that seemed to negatively reinforce each other and not to be coordinated. Little experience. At one point Day at guard and Patrick at center in first half—neither really has any experience and even less in those positions.

Hopefully coaches can divine somethings from tape review relevant to individual abilities to slot into the real O line. I suspect that was the objective to start with.

As to blown coverages, expect that with a D comprised of back end of roster or rookies.

Alexander may be a return option. I’d like to see more, but showed awareness Davis hasn’t.

On another topic. If Burks did dislocate his shoulder, I do think we need to look at Bowman seriously.

That aside, deep breath and remembered the context.

I didnt get to sit and watch very much of the game yet so i was tuning in and out sporadically but to this is what I noticed.

That strip sack by Gilbert against Donald Penn was more eye opening than his 2.5 sacks last week. 1) Because of who it was against - a quality longtime NFL veteran who is absolutely massive. 2) His push/hands and the shock he generates was on display last week but versus guys who werent in the same galaxy of size/experience/skillset that Penn is.

Again just based off of what i was able to catch when i got to stop for a few minutes to see some downs finally - Blake Martinez from the specific plays I watched some pass some run looked like a completely different player. The first thing I noticed (maybe its just me) was that he physically looks like hes lost a decent amount of weight and muscle mass that he couldnt afford to lose in thef first place as he already wasnt the biggest ILB out there. The other thing was his recognition was pretty awful on the snaps i saw - looked totally unsure of himself and was getting absolutely engulfed by blockers without being able to get off of them.

When I foundout Burks got hurt in warmups I wanted to launch my phone through my neighbors window. You gotta be f***ing kidding me man. Hopefully its nothing but if it is, they need to sign Bowman ASAP.

Safeties looked improved save for another horrible angle/feeble attempt at a tackle by HaHa - though I did see him make a few also. I saw Brice saw the QB in half on a nicely timed blitz, and saw Josh Jones look alive again finally sticking his nose in there.

Rookie corners have my expectations almost too high right

Murphy - ill let everyone else take that one

Got to see Jmon Moore step up, that was a great snag down the sideline knowing he was gonna get blased.

This ILB depth/group is not going to cut it. I know ive said how Pettine made due with what he had at OLB being successful still in his time with the Jets, but he always had ILB talent. Praying Burks is ok. If that shoulder is dislocated its going to be a problem all damn season going in and out. Even if he is ok its time to sign someone.
