The Good:
Nothing better than RedZone or Goal line stops, takeaways or winning turnovers. Great job on all of the white-knuckle breath-holding plays when I think we all were thinking the skins were about to score. And lets give some big kudos to the up and coming rookie T.J. Slaton for blocking that field goal. Can’t close this paragraph without mentioning Davante Adams (what a freaking catch), Robert Tonyan and of course Allen Lazard.

The home win feels good and the winning streak is still in tack.

The Bad:
The final Set of downs just before the 2 minute warning. Matt? What were you thinking ? I may be being greedy here but I was really pulling for one last score, if not a score then run the clock down deep after the 2 min warning. We lost on 3 important game stats, Total yards 430 to 304, Time of possession 32:54 to 27:06, and this was is a real kick in the gut, First downs 25 to 19 ! This game could have been, some might argue should have been a lot closer with the final score.
I don’t know if anybody is or was pulling for Dillon as much as me but either he is turning out to be somewhat of a disappointment. (His longest run was just 3 yards) or Matt needs to design some plays around his talent(s). I’m hoping that later is the answer.

The Ugly:
Where was the rushing game? Jeeeeez, The Skins beat us here with 195 yards to 57 ??? My fingers are bleeding trying to refresh the page for a better stat but it just won’t change.
Run Defense – at one point in the game I told a buddy, if I were the Skins I’d just run 80% of the time because we can’t stop it !

********
As noted above the home win feels good and out of the other side of my mouth I’m biting my lip to keep the disappointment from coming out and would have like to seen more of a thumping.

FFS. 12 rushing attempts by 4 players not named Aaron Rodgers, who refuses to hand the rock off.

Not going to win many games that way against better teams… We could have easily lost this one, but we were saved by a tremendous defensive effort, along with great plays by Big Dog, Adams, Lazard & Tonyan.

Campbell w 13 tackles and 2 FF, Gary w 2 sacks, 4 QB hits and 1 FF, and Amos w 2 big PD were awesome. Lowry & Sullivan with big plays as well.

I saw Rodgers (and LaFleur) take what the defense gave them. The Washington front four, all 1st rounders, and the Washington defense got pressure on nearly every play, held their lanes, and held the edge. About the only exceptions were on Rodgers scrambles. GB didn’t run because we were unable to run against them. The change in how we set the offense at the end of the 1st half and into rest of the game made running the ball even more problematic. But it did help Rodgers in the passing game.
I agree with you about the defense, though allowing too many QB runs, was otherwise solid.

The Good: Another win. The throw back uniforms but have to admit I miss the G on the helmet. Find ways to win.
The Bad: The FG unit. Need to keep working on it.
The Ugly: I know everyone wants the right call, but so long to make the right call.

Needs something on the helmet. If not the G as then not imagined, put a number on just to break up the yellow a tad. Otherwise, not a bad look. I like the gold numbers on the green.

I remember a discussion with Brett Favre where he said the decals on the helmet were a problem for a QB, especially the lines. Defensive backs could more easily determine where the QB was looking by watching the lines on top the helmet. If a solid color helmet gives us any advantage, even so slight, I’m all for it.

I hate complaining about long replays because I want to get the call right. But Jesus, we all saw the obvious call on the screen and these refs are screwing around for 3 to 5 minutes after the whole country saw it.

Every week I’m more impressed with Stokes and every week I’m more and more nervous when our special teams are on the field; with exception of Bojo-Blast!
Mercy-less is going to help us and it’s seems Jaylon Smith was in the picture more often.
Let’s beat the feathers off the Cardinals.

The Good:
Redzone defense. Finally. Hopefully, I won’t have to hear the Announcers mention the stats….ever…again.

The Bad: Offensive line had a few breakdowns in the 1st half. Miscommunication between Lucas Patrick and I think it was Billy Turner almost got Rodgers killed. That’s how Tampa beat us last year.Hopefully getting DBakh back soon.

The Ugly: Middle of the field was wide open when the pass rush didn’t get home. Heineke was able to pick up several chunks of yards. This was Taylor Heineke. Thursday is Kyler Murray. Big difference. If they allow him to wander around it could lead to bigger problems. Packers need to tighten this up a bit.

It was Runyon for the most part initially. His turn to get the (near) rookie schooling. Credit the opponent’s strategy and execution by a very good player, but also Runyon’s ability to recover and thwart it in the second half.

Good: Allen Lazard! Davante! Tonyan and Big Dog.
Bad: Dillon dropping the ball. Where did our run game go? Defense allowed WFT to march down the field, it seemed at will. We stopped them in the red zone, but still.
Ugly: Gotta side with Nagler on the officiating. It took forever to make a call, any call. From What fans said, Greg Olsen's color commentary leaves much to be desired. But then, Olsen is a former Bear, so what do you expect?

Olsen was better than he was earlier in the season. He was not biased and was not afraid to call out poor decisions. Apart from the PI on Douglas and some fairly obvious holds that weren’t, the officials were better than in many games. The non TD from Heinecke was a pretty odd event and significant, I don’t see the time as surprising. Getting the punt touchback call right and reversed was worth many angles. Better that than the guess in real time.

G: Red Zone D, Offense spreading it around more, Rodgers.

B: AJ's fumble, but he'll bounce back.

U: I agree. Refs will miss a call or two, but...speed it up.

The good: Rashan Gary stepping up to the plate (eat crow those who said he was a wasted pick as he's one of our best and highest rated defenders), the pass rushers for the most part (probably would've had 8 sacks if Taylor wasn't as mobile) Stokes and Douglas put on a clinic for how to be aggressive corners, Adams, Rodgers, the spreading of the ball around, the kick return teams blanketing coverage all day (FINALLY) and how about DeVondre Campbell??? The guy is all over the field! What a pickup!

The bad: Offensive line performance, specifically Patrick and Newman as yet again they were where most of the pressure was coming from and they had no answer, the defensive line was getting pushed off the line pretty much all day, AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones both had bad days, though a lot of that was thanks to the offensive line

The ugly: Darnell Savage dropping an interception and completely whiffing on that fumble in the red zone. He fell right on top of the ball and yet missed it completely. He is a very aggressive player but man he needs to size the opportunities he gets his hands on. The running game was abysmal with no interior push and nowhere to go with the ball.

I can't wait for Bakh to come back with Myers so we can get Patrick and Newman OFF of the field.

No idea. If that's the case, it's sad because our highest graded players averaged between 73-81 and he wasn't on that list. Patrick gets the job done. Him and Newman are a disaster together. Even the announcer said he was looking for Patrick to slide to help pick up Allen when he blasted around both him and Newman and left both with their hands on their hips.

Newman has been tricked a few times. Yesterday it was Runyon. Neither Meyers nor Patrick can take as much blame for that as you suggest. When Bakh comes back, the important thing is that he stays healthy and we should expect some rust, but it does reduce the number of rookies.

Common LH.... The interior of the Packers O-Line (Patrick & Newman in particular) were/are abysmal most snaps. I don't know what happened to Patrick as he was decent last season.

IMO Newman needs a year in the weight room. Once Bakh and Meyers gets back you replace Newman with JRJ, and put Jenkins back at LG. Rodgers IS going to get killed if they don't get that cleaned up.

MLF always says he'll put his best 5 O-Linemen out there, Newman isn't one of then...YET...

@Nick Perry……i think you are off target in two areas.

😎. If 40% of our line is abysmal on most plays, how are we scoring points? And how good does the remaining 60% have to be for the unit to be at least average? Simple math says this is hyperbole.

😎Patrick is our 3rd string center. Our starter is hurt, and our backup is needed at LT He had inexperienced guys on both sides of him against a front four of first round DL. He hasn’t regressed. When everybody gets healthy, he’ll be the RG, and he’ll do fine there. Newman and Runyon and Nijman will be backups with experience

ya how many great games has gary had in 4 years now? he was a freckin 12 pick and Watt was available. Our GM said he needed someone who could plat two positions for his decision on gary.
Watt plays one at all pro level, gary tries to play two and is avg at best.

The Bad- AJ, 3rd down D
The Ugly- officiating

I’m proud of our team continuing to establish an “Identity”. I believe at this stage of the season there’s nothing more important. Glad we’re settling in as a D and learning to expand the O. Cheers to no serious injuries, and let’s go hunting for some cardinals! Go Pack Go

The Good: the entire Defense played a complete game, featuring late sacks, big turnovers, and key stops, even in the Red Zone (finally!) All this even tho the team resembled a MASH unit. Kudos.
The Bad: Rushing attack that was AWOL whole game. Gotta do better.
The Ugly: AJ Dillon for inexcusable fumble when all we had to do was keep possession and run some clock. C'mon Man!

Ugly: I got nothing. I'm not going to bang on the refs, even though they deserve it. I'm happy with the win.

Arizona. Thursday. Big test? Measuring stick? I don't want to put too much weight on this because so many guys are out who will (hopefully) be back by the end of the season. But yeah, this game has implications.

Good: No new glaring injuries to deal with.
Bad: Game Planning - Either WFT has the best rushing defense in history or we dropped the ball (get it?) on the rushing game plan.
Ugly: Once again, our kick-off coverage was not so hot. Why do we consistently end up gifting the opponent starting position outside the 30-yard-line? Can we game plan a different scheme to tighten things up? Week after week. . . one day soon it'll really cost us.

The Good: Rodgers, Adams, Tonyan, Lazard, Gary, Campbell, overall defensive effort. Bojorquez!

The Bad: OL, especially in the first half. Dillon fumble.

The Ugly: Blocked FG, late FG by WFT. What was the point?

I’m not crazy about the Packers pass/run ratio in this game.
40 pass plays if you count 3 sacks on Rodgers plus his 2 scrambles counted as rushes versus 13 running plays. Maybe MLF was thinking about keeping the RBs fresh for Thursday. If that was the case we should give Hill some touches especially once we went up 21-7. ST coach needs to figure out our PK issues or it will costs us game(s) at some point.

On to AZ. GPG! Thanks, Since ‘61

Hello Since '61.
A win is a win .... and I'll stay with that forever.
Then I watch the Tampa game against the bears and how they destroyed them in a few minutes .....
I'm afraid that this year too we are good, but not good enough ...
Fingers crossed.
Our trenches (O and L) are not that good ...
Thursday is a good test

Most of the others have made decent representations of what was Good and Bad about the game so I won't go there.

Ugly was watching poor Taylor Heinicke have to watch on the big-screen as he blew his chance to put a pivotal comeback score on the board........ he even did a leap! That was brutal to watch his face during the review.......... "oh the humanity!" :)

I remember Eddie Lacy being given the benefit of the doubt a couple of years ago when he had the ball punched out as he was coasting over the line.... I personally thought that he didn't get there, but there wasn't the pylon cam angle then to check if he did or did not break the plane.... so he got the benefit of the doubt.

The phrase "punch it in" exists for a reason..... I'm looking at you Aaron Jones.....

I seem to be in a minority here as I thought both the announcers and the refs did a good job. The announcers explained why Heineke did not have a TD (on both occasions) and I'll take refs who make slow but the RIGHT call every day. I've always hated the "throwback" uniforms (aka NFL marketing to sell more jerseys) and these were in the "not as ugly" category (as Nagler says, "Your mileage may vary.") but I know others feel differently. I thought this was one of the craziest games I've ever seen with all the bizarre stuff that went on. Still enjoyed watching it and happy for the "W". On to AZ (well actually I live in Tucson, so I guess it's more like, "Welcome to AZ, Packers." GPG!

The Good? Gary had a great game and so did Rodgers and the receivers..
The Bad? no running game at all and the P.I. call was horrible again this week...
Our D is getting better but is not there yet and it seemed like the D was 1 step away from getting their QB sooooo many times and then he made them pay.. We have injuries and need to get healthy but I will give the ""Redskins"" one great compliment.. Their DL is very very good and an average QB would have gotten killed out there today.. Great game.. get ready for Thursday!

The Good-Dean Lowry, Devondre Campbell, Kenny Clark, Robert Tonyan

The Bad-The inability to run the ball and MLF/Rodgers abandoning the run completely. Not going to cut it.

The ugly- Interior Pass pro, Lucas Patrick and Newman had a pretty rough game.

I was surprised that no one seemed to mention the change in O-line philosophy that seemed to jumpstart the O. In the 1st half a lot of short pass drops as has been the scheme for the past few weeks with all the injuries but then at thye end of the half, I think GB made a smart move and started setting Rodgers back 5-7 steps which to maneuver away from the inside pressure of J Allen and it seemed to really help not only with running deeper routes but to allow 12 time to maneuver when they created inside pressure.
