Dare I add Savage?

Savage finally steps up the last two games to "add" himself to the conversation. Have to give him credit for stepping up after what has been a disappoint season for him except for the last two games.
Hoping he can stack successes and play great the next five games! ; )

Hard to argue with either Nagler or Since'61 - not much to add.
Since "Since" made a longer list of "good", I need to include Nixon. I'll go out on a limb and say that if he were returning kickoffs all year, that - at the very worst - we'd have another win and have clinched a playoff spot.
And as a standalone sequence, the defensive goal-line stand (after the only real blemish - the blocked punt) was more than good. Great and clutch as heck!! This felt good, and we need to dial up another one next week as well!

YOur right and thats the problem. Murphy does a lot to protect his choice at GM. Amari Rodgers should have been cut at the end of season 2 but he was Gutts pick in the third and to let him go meant Gutt looked bad.
So to make up for it they put him on kick returns to say at least were getting something out of the guy. We cant keep doing that. You got to get rid of dead meat.

The good: A complete shellacking of that purple team across the border
The Bad: We could end up keeping Joe Barry. Although, if he would run a D the way he did today, he may be worth keeping? Did he finally learn from all of his mistakes?
The Ugly: Not much today, although the pressure on the punt was disappointing. I had a flashback of the Niner playoff game from last year

totally agree defense finally showed up MLF is loyal to his guys Joe Barry finally called a good game. Now he thinks he is really good that's the bad.
The Good just a great team effort
The ugly is the chirping little too cocky for an 8-8 team. JA certainly backed it up, but not a big fan of it.

the good: the goal line stand after the one really bad blocked punt, then followed by the amazing nixon's return and the rest was just set in motion, great O line play, and so much more energy on defense, with Jaire shutting down with a lot of help from a good pass rush
the bad: AR still missing what should be routine throws
the ugly; that blocked punt and letting the Vikes have those free td's at the end

Scoring 41 points and trouncing the Vikings, I just can't imagine anything other than Wonderful about this game. I hope we see them again in the playoffs and duplicate the performance.

The good: Everything. Offense, defense, basically everything.
The bad: I'll save the special teams from being ugly because the kicks were spot on and K9 is an absolute DOG. But, it wasn't perfect and the blocking on that first punt was horrendous.
The ugly: No PI on those passes back-to-back to Watson in the second quarter... I really don't know what PI is anymore, especially when they're against him.
Conclusion: GB played the best game of the season and dominated on all levels. Alexander was finally unleashed and he absolutely came through. Lord only knows what could've been if Barry had his secondary playing aggressively like they did tonight. They played their asses off. Absolutely satisfying after all the shit talk we've endured from Vikings fans this year and they were absolutely exposed as the frauds they always have been. 12-4 with a negative point spread... Simply unheard of.
Moving on: Only one more win needed to get in and I don't even care if they win a playoff game. If they prove they deserved it and get into the playoffs after appearing to sink like the Titanic, with no hope, I'll be happy.
On to the next one!

The good - A team win on both sides of the ball. Great effort from both sides.
The bad - The non call on the Vikings for holding against Watson.
The ugly - The blocked punt.

The Good - Watching the Packers Bitch Slap a very over rated group of Girly Men wearing Purple N Gold Uniforms on national tv!
The Bad - The Blocked Punt!
The Ugly - That Strip Sack of Aaron Rodgers!

Good - All three phases of the game complimented one another to a dominant win. Kickoff return! Please keep Nixon!
Bad - Some offensive play calling was questionable. Specifically, in the first half, a short, up the gut, run play by Jones went nowhere, and Dillon getting an outside pass that went nowhere. The opposite player is better for those plays. Something always seems to go wrong on ST. That punt block was...
Ugly - I was a big time Z fan, he was one of my favorite players while in GB. I still rooted for him when he moved on, hard to be pissy on the nature of the business, even with going to MN. That he couldn't even shake hands with former teammates is so petty and pathetic. His performance, in game, yesterday shows why the FO moved on.
I do not like Alexander's mid-week trash talking. Its just a poor look. Don't give anybody a rise, or excuse to play harder. That said, he showed up, and was excellent. Those big hats are ridiculous, and I kinda want one. Take the DL's play with a grain of salt. They were great, don't get me wrong, but the Vikings were injured along the OL, they couldn't keep up with the pressure. Detroit won't give so easily.

Did you see the after-game interview with Rodgers? She asked him how he felt about Alexander's trash talking and he said, "I'm not much for it but, then you have to back it up".
I'm not much for it either. I prefer letting your play do the talking. Maybe he does that to fire his-self up?

The Good: Everything. Manhandling the overrated purple abomination was awesome.
The Bad: Z Smith making a fool out of himself. He got what he wanted, he got his money, he’s on a playoff team and then he just acts unprofessionally. Too bad.
The Ugly: The crybaby Vikings not just taking the “L “like a professional team.
Examples:
Justin Jefferson who has been me, me, me with his funny little dance. Gets upset because someone did it to him That’s rich.
Did you hear the excuse about the “slippery” field? You know football played outside in the “elements”. Not like both teams played on it or anything.
See Z Smith behavior above.

The Good: Our best, most complete game, as a team, this season! Jaire, Baby! All day long in Jefferson's grill! Chewed him up and spat him out. The drubbing we knew we had in us! Failures on all levels of the vikings play, in this game. For us Minnesota haters, this was a taste of sublime joyfulness!
The Bad: Blocked punt and garbage time TDs by the vikings.
The Ugly: Not much ugly, today!

The Good: A team win, OL, DL, complementary football, running game, clutch plays on both sides of the ball, Alexander and his backfield buds, pass rush bothering Cousins. $ Mason and ST( except blocked punt).
The Bad: ST block punt- that could cost us moving forward.
The Ugly: The Viking play thanks to the wood shed dished out by the Packers and poor sportsmanship by Z that is disappointing as well.

Dalvin was not at fault with TWO guys coming in on the rush. He got pounded with no help. He also pounced on the ball and with the help of the defense saved four points.

The good: All the comments above. Playing at home in January. Isn't it great to beat the Vikings?
The bad: The weather was too good.
The ugly: A full game played for the first time in week 17. I'm hoping it's a ruse to save everything for the playoffs.

I won't post on what the Good, the Bad, or the Ugly should be. Every one of the commenters before me and Aaron Nagler nailed that.
I would like to question if it was Joe Barry's schemes that made him the ire of Packers fans, or was it the players who didn't absorb those schemes? I didn't see anything during this game that looked like big changes to the scheme. What I did see was players playing inside that scheme, playing within the confines, and making plays because they were where they were supposed to be. Maybe you can blame Joe Barry for not getting the players to that point in a quicker manner, but his "system" worked pretty well yesterday. Had the Packers Defense played the "system" from the beginning of the season, perhaps the TEAM wouldn't have dug themselves such a big hole in the first place.

It was Barry's schemes that caused the ire of the fans. Explicitly, the soft zones and the corners playing off the wide receivers. For example, how often did we see the corners play back about 10 yards off the opposing receivers on 3rd and short? Yesterday, Alexander was physical with Jefferson on the line of scrimmage, and Douglas was all over his man. Not until the the garbage time Viking TDs did we seem to revert to the soft coverage once again. I'm such a perfectionist that I was yelling at the TV when I saw how soft and how much yardage was being given up by our non-starting corners. I'm one of those play to win every snap kind of guys, because I want to instill a certain mindset. Just hate giving yards and points away just because the game is already determined.
