The Good or Great: Michah Parsons no question best d player since Reggie White.

The Bad: MLF his play calling continues to be awful I think he just tries to show he is way a head of everyone with some great cooked up scheme. Wilson's play after timeout was perfect example. Kesion Nixon works so hard but never fails to pick up crucial penalty is games hope is off season they address CB's certainly weakest part of defense.

Ugly: Hobbs he is terrible this was not a good signing cut Monday morning, Ballentine or Vallentine or Rasual Douglas if he still is out there. Cut your losses,

I hope they never face backup QB again this season, these guys are killing them. Lack of respect who knows They made this career backup look like Dak out there 3 step drop bam threw only couple of bad ones.

Cards coach giving the ball back GB lucky they didn't get 1st down

I think Brissett might give them a better chance to win than Murray at this point. Murray hasn't been the same guy since he blew out his knee.

The good - they won, and things can still get better.
The bad and the ugly combined - this has been an extremely ordinary team at best. People who deny that are just lying to themselves.

Agree that the Hobbs signing looks like a complete disaster.

Hobbs is strictly a slot guy, trying unsuccessfully to play outside. Gute hit a grand slam with Jacobs and McKinney but seems to have struck out on Hobbs and Banks. But, we don't win this game if Gute hadn't pulled the trigger on Micah Parsons.

I think they saw Nixon 2.0 in Hobbs and took a shot.

Good: Happily take a road win without bitching too much about the style points.

Bad: Too many penalties.

Ugly: What hell happened to the Packer safeties? I can't remember the last game they gave up so many deep balls with (apparently) no safety help over the top.

#29 has been disappointing. #33, not so much but may be getting sucked into #29's habits.

The Good: M. Parsons. Enough said

The Bad: Hobbs

The Ugly: This offensive officiation crew makes the game irritating to watch. The game is not about the zebras throwing flags on every play.

Yes—right. The game is becoming a zebra fest. A contest between the officials and their crews for the most (and game changing) calls. It makes me see yellow.

The Good, but really the Great: Josh Jacobs. He is the man! Always making guy miss, & plowing for more yards & TDs.
The Bad: Hobbs & the poor coverage on AZ's TE. Hobbs s/b what Bullard has been assigned, but not on the corner. He gets beat way too often. He hits hard & makes someone pay, but all too often we see him trailing the WR.
The Ugly: MLF's playing calling on 4th down. In the 1st half, it was 4th & 5, & he has Love throw long. We see this all too often on 3rd & short. Long passes are low percentage & we found ourselves behind after the 1st half. On the last touchdown drive, MLF went for it on 4th & 2 & got the 1st down on a longer route (and the series ended with a TD); but the smart play would have been a FG. Both coaches weren't sharp on 4th down. The AZ coach's bad choice cost him the game. MLF survived & won.

Going for the FG to lose the game in the final minutes would be "smart?!?"

First off...
...any failed 4th down play is a bad call...?
...I need to see the replay again, but I thought there was an open guy underneath on that 4th and 5, and Love went up top. There wasn't just the long ball in the pattern, but that's the route Love threw. LaF calls the plays, but Love makes the reads and throws the ball.
...I don't think they had any faith in Havrisik's leg at that point. A 55-yard kick by your PS kicker in that stage or try to move the ball and score? In retrospect, if Havrisik kicks and hits it or if Doubs catches the pass, it's probably an entirely different ball game. It's all speculation, of course, but Arizona sputtered on the following drive and punted, by the way. Giiving them an extra 7 yards on a missed FG might have changed the complexion of that possession.

"On the last touchdown drive, MLF went for it on 4th & 2 & got the 1st down on a longer route (and the series ended with a TD); but the smart play would have been a FG."

I didn't want the Packers to give Arizona the ball back in a tie game with 2:30 to go and all their timeouts. The way the defense was playing, that's a losing recipe. I absolutely supported going for it on that 4th and 2.

"The AZ coach's bad choice cost him the game. "

Yes, that was a poor call on your own side of the 50 with a 3 point lead and 6 minutes to play. You punt that ball, try to pin the Packers deep, and play defense. It's gutsy if it works, and they probably win if they get the first...on top of that, I wouldn't like the QB sneak call if I were an Arizona fan, but as a Packers fan, I loved it.

Addition to Good: Havrisik: Without his franchise record FG, the Cardinals would have only needed a FG at the end to win.

Bad: Hobbs is the unanimous choice who will get tarred and feathered all week long. Playing the perimeter isn't his strength, and by the look of those tackling efforts, he may not be fully healed.

Ugly: The officiating not only in this game, but in a couple of other games (such as Broncos/Giants). Some of these calls make no sense and subvert the integrity of the game.

To make the Hobbs thing even more of a head scratcher, CV played a total of 2 snaps other than ST. "Too obvious" to let CV play outside, at least enough to reduce Hobbs' workload coming off injury so he has a fighter's chance to be near his best at the end of the season.

Now? Moving Hobbs strictly to the slot seems necessary, at least until he regains his top speed - if injury is currently hampering him.

Well, a win is a win if it happens to be “good, bad or ugly. Onto my awards.
Good-Havrisik. Yo…that field goal would have cleared 70 yards. This could be another scrap heap gem regardless of McManus’s health.
Bad-Hafley scheme going Dom Capers prevent D. Time to unleash the hounds. Seriously.
Ugly-J Brisett looking like a borderline All-Pro QB. GB cannot have pedestrian QB’s carving up our D. Time to do a “Nazir Stackhouse Gut Check.” I’ll take the W. Oh yea. GO PACK GO!! 👍

So we have the best backup QB in the league and now a great backup kicker. Meanwhile our elite safeties disappear and CB and DT get torched.

We're lucky to scrape by with a win, WAY too much of a nailbiter, but figuring out how to win on the road and with the added adversity of being stuck on the plane for 5 hours before being able to take off - ain't nothing.

There's hope this team will turn it around but tougher games are fast approaching.

Good:
Haversik; Jacobs; Kraft; Parsons.
Bad: …and everyone know it—the secondary. Where the hell is McKinney?
Ugly: Stupid penalties, although a few were bad—unnecessary calls. I’m tired of the officiating. They’ve become the focal point.
Go Packers!!!

Agreed. Look around the league at all the upsets and odd game scripts. Arizona might have been 2-4, but all of their losses were by 4 points or less, and all but one of their games has come down to the last possession or two. I don't know what people expected, but it wasn't based on who the Packers were actually playing.

A road win is a gem, even if it doesn't look bright and shiny.

Now, Gute, see if you can get Calais Campbell from them for a song.

Do we have any coherent game plan against our opponents? To attack these teams weaknesses and defend their strengths. It seems like our opponents have adjusted to us. But our coaching staff just seems to make no adjustments based on who we are playing.

Good: Havrisik, Parsons, Wooden, Kraft, Jacobs, The Win.

Bad: Hafley's Defense looked lackluster, except for Parsons. OL was no great shakes, either.

Ugly: Penalties--Way too many of them, again!

G: Back-up placekicker dilemma solved, Micah #1, Packer Nation turn-out.
B: Hobbs, Hobbs, and Hobbs; X was Xed
U: NFL point of emphasis needs to ration officials flag throwing, maybe not make them recyclable. Penalties disrupt the flow of the game and make it about the refs, not the players.

Lots of Kudos to go around: Parsons (of course, a Reggie-like performance), Kraft, Jacobs, Love and don't forget the student-teacher game saver!
The Bad: It took us the whole 1st half and 1st drive of 2nd half to start playing football. Can't count on comebacks like this one.
The Ugly: Easy TD at end of first half when you MUST force FG. Inexcusable! I almost switched off.
Hope next Sun is worth staying up for.
