Good: We won
Bad: Crosby
Ugly: Red zone defense and 2 man rush at end of the half

Can this D get us to the SB? I know we are down players, and the D has shown sparks of good play, but this just won't do it. Offense is going to have to really carry us this year.

the chiefs. if you watch the chiefs, and their putrid defense, do you ever question them getting to the super bowl? what kind of defense do you want anyway? their is no more 85 bears. the rules dont allow it. dink and dunk is basically a given against a decent qb, regardless of who the corners are. the rams D is loaded, and teams are throwing up and down the field on them. i was impressed with the D considering the amount of practice squad bodys were out there today. yiadom, hamilton, garvin, burks, DEAN LOWRY (HEHE), henry black, jean charles. this dude hamilton played a shitload of snaps, and ive never heard of him before this game. so yeah if the D can get healthy, it can get us to a SB. they are ranked 8th and 12th against pass and rush. even with that 38 to 3 dud.

Lowry had a good game and batted two passes down. Next week Pack should see some of Jaylon Smith at LB and Douglas at CB. Hamilton was signed off Tampa Bay's practice squad. I still would like to see more pressure/blitzing as Burrow had lots of time today. Hopefully Jenkins and Myers are back for the Bears though patched OL played well.

But we have to be close to last in red zone defense. Also have to be last on 4th down stops. I don’t think it’s a championship defense

I dont think it needs to be a championship defense on 10/11/21. It has time to be honed and sharpened. I like their chances to get better.

Thats a fair point. But is this coachable? I have faith in campbell as a leader. I questioned after the saints game this teams leadership. Campbell has certainly answered the call. This defense has went from "soft" to id say gritty or scrappy. And he is the only change. Its great to see. My point is, with a guy like that in the middle, maybe they can improve that number.

Maybe not but it will be fun watching , you must be a real downer of an individual anyone who complains about a win against a good team on the road and only giving up 22 points really needs to find a new hobby ..

Wasn’t the timeout after 2nd down, when Rodgers rolled out and had to throw it away? Cincinnati didn’t call timeout there, but did after 1st down

good- devondre. Stokes in coverage. king actually made some tackles. kenny clark. i really cant believe the packers found a middle LB after all these years, even if its only for a season. THE bad. unfortunately, mason crosby. but he was also the good at the end and some parts in the mdidle, and hes been perfect for almost 2 seasons. he will move on. The ugly. not having a middle LB on 4th and 2 at the end of regs. joe burrow saw it, im sure a bunch of you saw it, why did joe barry call that defense? that was literally a designed qb draw, because there was nobody in the middle. i was shocked that campbell was lined up somewhere to the left, and not right in the center on that play. couldve been ball game if he was in the right position on that one.

You're spot on about the 4th and 2. I was screaming to the TV that Burrows would be running for the down, but unfortunately the message did not get across.

Agree - Campbell played a good game and it was noticeable when he was off the field. He’s a keeper.

Stokes is also showing signs that he belongs - and will be a great pairing with Jaire Alexander into the future.

Additions to The Good: 1) Lowry, 2) Dillon for his two YACs (after contact and catches), 3) Big Dog, 4) Campbell; he plays with a certain intensity that we haven't seen out of this position in a while.

The Missing: Tonyan; Where you been the last few games?

Seems obvious to me:
The Bad---Mason Crosby
The Good---Mason Crosby
The Ugly---another long TD before half-time in close game when we had the momentum.
Gotta lotta work to do before da Bears.

The Bad: Interior Run Blocking, missed tackling, Darnell Savage not finishing, 2 man rush with 50 seconds left, Mason Crosby

The Ugly: Oren Burks...How is he still on this team??

I disagree about Patrick. He offered relatively no support in the run game and while he was serviceable, that doesn't exactly earn him the "good" status. By far the worst lineman on the team.

I agree with your opinion. We saw (who wanted) that AR 3 times during the game has his mouth full of bad words for Patrick. He was yelling at him. Especially he was mad after AJ was not able to score TD, because Patrick didn't do the job (block his player).

The Good Campbell he is a stud how good are the Cards if they got rid of this guy, also Kenny Clark, Devante no question, AJ Dillion, Aaron Jones.

The Bad, defense at end of first half I think they are right Savage doesn't have ball skills seems to be a reach as 1st round pick. King had a couple of tackles then hurt AGAIN plays soft. Its testicular fortitude. Has all tools just no backbone. Less time practicing your craft than posing after pretty average play. Think Stokes has him afraid his time might be up.

Ugly, Red Zone offense and defense, no imagination down inside the 10 yard line. 17 straight times opponents have scored UGLY.!

one more question Rashan Gary is there a Rashan Gary here today ? or last week or last season. Word out on Bobby Tonyan I guess kind of invisble at times.

The good: Davante Adams, Eric Stokes, DeVondre Campbell, D-Line performance

The bad: Offensive line generating little to no push in the run game and WAY too many stops in the backfield, Coverage units (another week, another 40+ yard kickoff return allowed, seriously what is it going to take before they kick it out of bounds on purpose), Mason Crosby (will get a pass after everything he's done for the offense this season when they can't score)

The ugly: Aaron Rodgers solely looking at Davante Adams, I mean, when the next closes receivers are averaging less than two catches a game through 5 games, something is seriously wrong. Adams is an amazing talent, but they can't look to him 15+ times a game and throw 5 combined passes to other receivers on a weekly basis. Coaching: the horrible decision to let the clock run out before halftime despite having two timeouts and knowing the Bengals just scored and will be getting the ball back after the half, RedZone defense with 17 consecutive touchdowns allowed with opposing offenses inside the 20 and last but not least the RedZone offense. Coming off of a ridiculous offensive stint last year and an 80% touchdown conversion rate, this season the Packers have been horrendous in the red zone and can't rely on Crosby to kick 4-5 FG a game to score. They need to put points on the board to beat the good teams.

I agree on Rodgers not looking to other receivers besides Adams. When Campbell got that interception in OT at about the 20 yard line the Packers just ran it into the line and looked to settle for a FG. Why is Rodgers not attacking the end zone there and using all his receivers like Tonyan in the red zone? It’s like they are playing not to attack defenses when in the red zone this season. Meanwhile the Packers D gives up a TD to opponents every time they get into the red zone. They have Rodgers to throw TD passes and he has to be allowed to do that on more plays in the red zone or this team will again come up short in the playoffs.

The Good: De'Vondre Campbell....did we ever pucker when he went out of the game.

The Bad: Not taking the short stuff. We gave up at least 3 or 4 first downs because the check down was not an option.

The Ugly: Leaving points off the board. We won..but being in scoring position and either missing FGs or not finishing. Lucky to have not had this game bite us in the ass.

The Bad: $ Mason not on the $ today.

The Ugly- Play calls at the end of the game, not putting teams away. Need to find a killer instinct.

The Good: DEFENSIVE LINE! Holy cow did we make some bug internal impressions! The BAD: MASON….. the WHITEWOLF broke so many spirits, but rebounded in a resounding counterattack to demonstrate the fight in this team! And THE UGLY: A-ARON’s pocket presence! The legend made so many throws to encapsulate his “STATUS”, but let’s be clear of what we all saw: the man forgot how to use his legs!!!! Let’s pray that the O strengthens in the coming weeks with returns from the mainstays and A Jones and the QUAD-INATOR keep casually making defenses looking bad. Oh, and DE’VONDRE CAMPBELL IS A F@&:*!? SAVAGE!!!! GO PACK GO!

The Good: Campbell (The man is everywhere & is a stud). Honorable mention: Adams (but every throw seems to go his way)
The Bad: Crosby (Missing an extra point plus 3 fields goals must be a record. If not, it's horrid.) Honorable mention: Red zone and extra (2) point defense (We may be on our way of another bad record or two).
The Ugly: The win (but hey, 4-1 is so much better than 3-2). Honorable mention: All the injuries (buy hey, we are winning with such effort and perseverance. What a team!)

Campbell, Clark, Hamilton, Stokes, Lowry, P. Smith
The Bad: 2 man DL with no one in the middle to allow a QB draw on 4th and 2, reminds me of the Capers era. Stupid!
Red zone defense, WTF.
The Ugly: Long TD at the end of the 1st half and 8 minute Bengal drive in the 4th Qtr. 3 missed FGs and a missed PAT by Crosby.

Bad: Not a lot bad really. Our field goal but hey, the guy has been a rock and this is the second time this has happened in all his years so, we feel bad for him, but he aint bad.
Ugly: That pass at the end of the half. I missed who was that trying to cover but again way out of place, too slow to close. You were made the fool

The Good: Davantae Adams. Brilliant as ever, although I worry about him taking too much punishment over the middle. De'Vondre Campbell. He is emerging as an elite MLB and signal caller. One of the outstanding acquisitions made by Gutekunst.

The Bad: Aaron Rodgers. Missing Adams in the end zone was very uncharacteristic. And compared to 99% of NFL QBs Rodgers did not have a "bad" game. But according to the infinitely high standard that Rodgers has set for himself, he did not rise to his ultra elite level.

Sometimes I have the impression this year that AR12 is a bit gun shy and not being decisive
in his passing decisions. Or perhaps the Packers are facing better secondary coverage and MLF and AR12 have not come up with an effective strategy to counter enemy pass coverage. There does seem to be a problem with the passing attack overall although Rodgers is always able to deliver in the crunch as the last 37 seconds of the Steelers' game and even this game against the Bengals demonstrated his uncanny accuracy with those lightning throws to DA.

The Ugly: The Packers' red zone defense. Are we establishing some sort of NFL record for futility in this regard. Is it now 17 straight Qaddafi rollovers?

Mason Crosby. Every three years Mason Crosby suffers some form of technical breakdown. The game against the Lions and now the Bengals. He should still be praised for 27 straight FG completions and the clutch kick against the Niners. But it's strange that he couldn't figure out what was causing him to pull his kicks to the left from the opening extra point miss and then later in the game when he again kept missing left. Oh well, Crosby is still a hero and a legend.

"Rodgers is always able to deliver in the crunch as the last 37 seconds of the Steelers' game"? (Packers vs Steelers 27-17)

Do you mean his kneeling down is "delivering in crunch time"?

What I see in Aaron Rodgers plays that father time started to influence him. Against Bengals he had slightly worse OL than in the previous matches, but even with that you can see how quite a lot of his throws are not on target. His footwork became again bad and he is still able to throw excellent passes when he made the throws with proper steps with his leg. He started to have problems with his arm strength when he is trying to throw from run or from jump. That throws are rarely on the target.

This is the truth. We can find an excuses and some of them would fog what we see and accept, but there is the throws Aaron shot with unproperly legs position, and the throws go wild (e. g. like his INT throw in the beginning of the game!). The throw to DA to the end zone is not the one, as AR was forced to throw the ball because he was under huge pressure from Bengals D.

Unfortunately, I truly believe father time starts to have influence on AR. It is not huge one, but it is visible... And it will speeding up, first slowly, than faster and faster.

Also, however finish this season, I think this is the real last dance for AR.

On a key third down, Rodgers threw to Marcedes Lewis, a very large tight end more known for blocking than receiving. Lewis caught the ball pretty much in stride and flattened a linebacker before being forced out of bounds.

You're welcome.

last week due to cbs contract with the nfl we missed the first part of the packer game in Dallas .This week we got to watch tv adds instead of the end of the packer overtime win do to contract with the nfl. Is this still not the same nfl as last week ? Or is this the local tv stations in Dallas facing fact that not everyone in DFW gives a dam about the cowgirls. Yep! Last week the OT game screwed us out of the entire 1st quarter of Packer football. Yesterday, when the Packers-Bengals went to OT I flipped the TV on and got to see the OT period on the local Fox affiliate. That was only because the vikings game had ended. As I count it, there will be at least 5 more Packers' games, in my area, that will be blacked out, due to scheduling conflicts with the vikings as we are part of their viewing market. This does not include any early games that go into OT when the Packers play at the 3:25 CST start. Sounds to me like it's your DFW stations putting the ads on that prevented you from watching the OT period. Vindictive bastards!

Worst part here in NY, they cut away to commercials. Ok. Fine. But at that point, Directv is suppose to un black out the Packers/ Bengals on the “package” channel. They DID NOT. I pay $$$ for this freaking package and I can’t even see the end of the damn game. It’s theft but they don’t give a crap.

I've saved over $10,000 over the past seven years by "cutting the cord" and moving to an over-the-air antenna (cable and satellite are basically just scams). I know that this isn't always feasible due to geography and distance to towers, but if you can, I very highly recommend it. There are also (allegedly) streaming channels that you can use to catch games out of your market, although some of their links are reportedly rife with malware, so use at your own risk.

So Kevin King plays probably his best game of the year, and at a time when he was needed more than ever. He gives up something like 20 yards receiving and makes a couple of first rate tackles in space. But of course it doesn't stop the knee-jerk reactions that Kevin King is Lucifer.

Weird.

I'm not saying he's an ideal starter by any stretch, but if we're talking about yesterday's game, well... he wasn't Lucifer, OK?

Good: The win, Davantae, Big Dog picking up a critical first down and the D line.
Bad: Crosby, defense continuing to giving up touchdowns in the red zone.
Ugly: The Packers unable to punch it in for touchdowns after Jones's long run and Campbell's interception. Both at critical junctures of the game. It's like the offense/coach lose all their aggressiveness. Have to put teams away.
