Good - Gute - He's the one responsible for the depth on this squad and man have they needed it.

Bad - MNF Production - Wow that was incredibly poor

Ugly - ATL Head Coach and teams flight back - Not sure but did this ATL team mail it in when this game really turned on them?

Hey coach, you might want to hit the film room and learn how to use the internet and social media.
You seem to double post almost every comment you make and that's not considered good form online.

Whats up on all the hate for Gute? I'd appreciate any feedback as to why my point as to the depth the last two years has not shown to be remarkable. he is the one mainly, not totally - coaching as well, responsible.

There are some who believe that Mark Murphy is responsible for the Packers turn around, and 'his hiring' of MLF is a genius move. Interrupt that narrative, and it's easier to downvote than counter. Gute and his front office team has been nothing short of remarkable in rebuilding the roster. You can see why the Packer executive committee, went to some pretty extreme lengths to hire him over Murphy objections. And then move to strengthen him at Murphy's expense. Some folks want Jerry Jones, we got 48 folks instead. I'll take the 48...

I expected the Falcons to challenge our injury depleted D. Despite increasing depletion they didn’t ever really look like they could. Even allowing for Julio Jones not really being fit, that was a poor showing. Matt Ryan may not have the longevity of Brady, based on that viewing. Yes, I think that would seem ugly were I a Falcons fan (without starting on their D, which clearly was far under strength in the secondary).

The Good - the 2 Aarons, Jones's running and receiving and Rodger's smile again.
The Bad - Defense tackling again atrocious
The Ugly - Second half first offensive drive - not attacking a very weak secondary and no points - not finishing off the Birds out of the gate

Good: The Offense is as varied and potent as I’ve seen going back to the Lombardi era.
Bad: Run blocking goes MIA at some critical points.
Ugly: The injury list. The bye is timely this year.

The Good: MLF offense, Aaron Rodgers, our RBs, TEs, Z. Smith, Keke, and our depth.
The Bad: Tackling, still needs work.
The Ugly: Falcons 10 minute drive allowed by Packers defense and then by Falcons for failing to score a TD. Ugly on both ends.

We need the bye, but in means 12 straight weeks before the playoffs. Hopefully we are going to earn a 1st round bye because we will need it. 4-0 in the conference, 2-0 in the division. Go Pack Go! Thanks, Since ‘61

I though the tackling improved somewhat over the previous week, nice to see more players swarming to the ball. We had a lot of inexperienced players to start and more to finish. Overall I thought they did better than I feared. Certainly kept the Falcons to 16, which was better than more vaunted Ds have. Have to rewatch I guess.

It was much improved.
Even Redmond made a super nice one on one open field tackle that stopped the ball carrier right where he caught it.
I just didn't think that was possible.
The yards per carry tells the truth and the Pack held them to an amazing 3.2 yards.
Not to mention only 16 points and practically no passing offense by the Falcons.

And we did it with roughly half of the players on both sides of the ball being the 3rd string!

Agreed CW, I think sometimes we seek perfection when that’s not reality. People like Julio and Kamara break tackles all the time. That’s why they get paid the big bucks. They’ve done a better job at swarming which is important because great players and some not so great don’t go down on the first hit very often.

Yeah but they held up on the goal line for 3. They had to go for it on 4th twice. The d still needs work but this was an upgrade from the last 3 weeks.

Good: The offensive coaching staff, Rodgers, Tonyan, the RBs and the o-line. Winning with Malik Taylor and Darius Shepherd playing significant offensive snaps. Limiting Aaron Jones' snaps to save himfor Dec/Jan. Winning with a make-shift secondary after losing Chandon Sullivan and Kevin King.

Bad: Short-yardage offense. If there is a consistent flaw in this offense, that is it.

Ugly: Injuries continue to mount

The goal line play was just exploded at the line. You could have had a 450 pound back with speed back there and he wasn't getting in on that one.

Hard to disagree but Dillon at 250 lbs can really jump. Put him in the deep I formation and let him run and leap over the pile with his 41 inch vertical and almost 11ft broad jump. Good luck stopping that...

Good: When the Packers play team ball, like they have been this entire season thus far, they run like a sewing machine

Bad: Fans continually wanting to oust young players before they've had a chance to grow into their potential (Robert Tonyan being the timely example)

Ugly: What does Jamaal Williams have to do before fans start appreciating he's a legit NFL RB??

My mom's sewing machine jammed all the time and needles broke (as did all of the machines in my neighborhood).
Sometimes they ran smoothly and stabbed the cloth to death, but those things go through a lot of needles and are anything but smooth! Not even the new models.

That's probably the problem. Sewing machines made since the 70's or 80's are as close to garbage as you can get without attracting rats. lol. Get your hands on an OLD singer and she should be hummin', lol

MY Good. The steady hands of the receivers, especially the running backs. Dam fine job. Reminded some of the Chielfs, too many people to cover.

Bad. O line blocking was not up to par. Run game didnt get going because they couldnt open holes. they were overwhelmed up the middle.

Ugly. Doesnt take a rocket scientist to get this one right, the defense. What one 90 yard drive for 9 minutes, two 70 yard drives, and a few 45 yard drives, mostly threw the air. Ironic how some of our guys seem to go down with pinkie injuries when they are getting beat consistently. This is without a doubt the worst pass defense I've seen in the league to date. I dont think it Pettine either. I think its Pettine trying to make due with dbacks who lack size and speed and just cant cover. This is the achiles heel of the team. If they get to the playoffs, this is the early exit reason again this year. Alexander is just to slow period.

The D, playing with a lot of 2nd and 3rd teamers, held the Falcons to 16 points and only 3.2 yards per carry rushing.
Alexander held their best receiver so far this year to 0 for 5 catches (and Alexander runs a 4.38 40 yard dash, so it's ridiculous to call him slow).

The defense, playing wounded, has its best game of the year and people like you are complaining? Please. The 10 minute drive was just a fluke and there were not a pair of 70 yard drives or several of 45. The Pack forced them to 3 and out on 3 consecutive series in the second half.

If it hadn't been for those 3 really bad calls, this game would have bee 44-7.

We gave up only 16 points with no crowd noise. No crowd noise equals advantage offense. Z smith lived in the backfield. Lancaster and raven greene and all these reserves made play after play. The falcons had to go for it on 4th down twice on that 90 yrd drive and only got a field goal. Kevin king was a beast in the first half against the run. Alexander is too slow? What does that even mean? He was a shut down corner yesterday. King and sullivan went out with injury. When they were in the dbs gave up 3 points. Alexander is too slow?!? Damn. You are a payne. For real.

Packers Defense held a -desperate- ATL team to 16 points, and you're going after the defense. Okay, sure, there may be some legitimate gripes about certain aspects of the Packers' defense. I read on.

But then you decide to single out the talent in the Packers' secondary- speficially calling out Jaire Alexander by name??

You are out of your got.dam mind.

I was just on the ESPN page for WI sports and saw 100% for Elgton Jenkins.

That should not have been his game score and I wonder if PFF has it different.

He had a holding penalty and he completely whiffed on one blocking assignment that allowed an untouched defender to make a play in the backfield.

Absolutely not a 100% game score.

The Good: Amos's beautiful defense on Ridley to knock the ball out of his hands in the end zone. Our RBs can catch the fricking ball! Tonyan is our best TE, so far,-lotta ballgame left this season! Zadarious was held all game long, but he got his sacks at opportune times. ARod looked like he was having fun, again! Nice play calling from MLF!

The Bad: Shepherd needs to know where the goaline is so he can extend himself over it. Running up the gut on the 4th and goal to go play. How about a bootleg there? Injuries piling up. Thanks for the Bye week!

The Ugly: ESPN crew. They seemed unprepared and spent more time talking about the Falcons, than the undefeated Packers, until after the game. No one, in the media talking about, nor giving credit to Jones and Williams and the Packers, in general and MLF, as a HC. Was the ESPN crew even in GB during the broadcast? I would have listened to the Packers' Radio Network, for the game cast , but Wayne and Larry's gamecast was way ahead of the TV broadcast, which would have been hard to listen to.

UGLY- ref's calling so many borderline fouls. I watched 2 games on Sunday and the Packer's on Monday. Each game had at least 3 penalty calls that were ridiculous with the penalized player brushing lightly against another player in the act of falling down or flailing away. I know it is easy in slow-mo replay to see that there was barely any contact, but most of the penalties I am talking about resulted in big plays like long 3rd down conversions to keep drives alive.

The offensive explosion across the league this year may be partly due to ref's making it impossible to play defense (though the terrible call against Jenkins was against an Offense).

Haven't had the opportunity to review the play, but... that deep Zaccheaus reception where the Packers DB's tipped it up, and Zaccheaus made that unlikely reception to keep ATL's drive alive?

Yeah, I thought I caught a quick replay of that "catch" during the telecast that looked as though the ball was never secured in the receivers' hands before it made contact with the ground.

Anyone else get that impression? Could be wrong.. Anyone have an opportunity to review that play?

Good - Having an innovative coach that can scheme guys open when studs are unavailable. So damn refreshing!

Bad - Josiah getting rolled up on near the end of the game. I really hope that it's not too serious. He's a Swiss Army knife.

Ugly - ESPN missing a whole MVS third down conversion on the broadcast because they were still cut away to the previous play iirc. Bogus.

GOOD: More like great really, but Aaron Rodgers. He could have taken an attitude after the draft and basically ruined the whole season. Instead he has the best attitude anyone could ask for and works miracles with what he has.

BAD: The tackling. Even when Clark comes back we don't have the personnel to be a run stuffing team. Guys have got to make the open field tackles when they have the chance.

UGLY: The lack of fans. The whole game I just kept thinking how Lambeau would be rocking with all the great plays that were being made. When camera angles caught the emptiness of the stadium it even made my living room seem boring. At times it felt like watching a practice.

The good - Rodgers spreading the wealth, RB's catching the ball, and Tonyan. No turnovers after 4 games.

The bad - Missed tackles and that 4th and goal play call.

The ugly - That 20 play, 94 yard drive that started on the Falcons own 1 yard line after the 4th and goal stop.
