The good: Kenny Clark was unblockable in the first half, red zone defense was stout as well.

The Bad: WR Corp drops, MVS, Davante had a bad one, G-MO too, when your job description is catching a ball, Catch the ball!!

The Ugly: 4th Q offensive execution (non- execution) with Rodgers and the game plan........yeesh.......at times, Rodgers now looks less than average...........

What the hell is wrong with Rodgers? Those were such bone headed mistakes that perhaps a rookie would make. He needs to own up to such mistakes and eliminate them. For a future hall of famer he sure can look awful.

Good: That Lowry INT. A thing of beauty and after review a pretty damn difficult catch. Too bad we never put up points afterwards, which segues perfectly

Bad: Finding a way to get out of FG position. They would have been tough FGs, but man we can't be letting point get away from us. We have to play smarter than that.

Ugly: Prevent Defense and Prevent Offense. That 4th Quarter felt like some of those painfully stressful games we had during the McCarthy era where we played not to lose and almost gave up the game not playing to win. What happened to the "All Gas, No F$&king Brake" mantra?

Spot on with your assessments;

Your good; Lowry INT... it was a thing of beauty at a critical moment in the game. I was so excited that I made a joke that I was going to buy a Lowry Jersey after the game.

Your bad ; Finding away to get out of FG range...look no further then the Lowry play, just another wasted opportunity to score. And what was that possession right before the half all about? So painful

Your Ugly. .. 4th quarter everything. Wow, that was truly painful

Question;
Does anyone feel overly confident about winning in the Queens dome next week? I think that game will give us a good indication of where we are before the playoffs start. Will we see a performance like at the Chargers and Niners? Or, will we be at least competitive, and maybe even win?

I say use Dean Lowry as TE. He can catch better than most Packers WR and TE and he can run through the opponent D. Move Dean to TE!

Good- Rashan Gary , and someone wearing number 50 not sure who that was out there.
Bad- drops by receivers and DB ‘s not sure who had more.
Ugly- all the Viking fans that show up here on game day.

The pass protection deserves a lot of credit as well: only one sack allowed. And Rodgers looked fairly comfortable back there most of the time.

The Bad: Lots of dropped passes, on both sides of the ball, but we still won!

The Ugly: Not putting teams away when we have the chance, but we still won, Go Pack!

What in the Hell was that crap where NY officials were going to call in a holding penalty on Tramon Williams that the Refs on the field did not see? How can they do that? Also how can the refs in the Cowboys-Rams game make the Cowboys kick off first and then deny them receiving the ball first in the second half just because Prescott didn't say the word "defer" on the opening coin toss? They had to review the coin toss and bring in Pereirro to explain the ruling. Amazing!

The team that wins the coin toss gets to choose kick, receive, or direction in the first half. The choice flips to the other team in the second half. If you defer you are waiting to the second half to choose. If you chose to kick in the first half you are allowing the opposing team to choose to receive in the second half. A professional football player and qb should never make that mistake.

After Dallas won the coin toss, Prescott told the refs he wanted Dallas to kick the ball to the Rams and indicated which direction he wanted the Cowboys to go. Prescott never said the Cowboys wanted to "defer" until the second half. The refs allowed the first quarter possession to go to the Rams and were going to allow the Rams to get the ball first in the 2nd half all because Prescott did not say the word "defer" after the coin toss. Then, the announcers said they thought they heard Prescott say "defer" at some point in the mess.

Nice explanation. There is also a fourth option (defend the goal) here is an explanation of the rule by Vic Ketchman on his website: "If you win the coin toss, you may select one of four options: kick, receive, defend a goal or defer your choice to the second half. For the start of the second half, the team that lost the opening coin toss may select one of three options: kick, receive or defend a goal. All of these options must be carefully weighed. For example, if you're playing at Heinz Field and you don't want to kick toward the open end of the stadium in the fourth quarter, then you probably shouldn't defer your choice if you win the coin toss. Why? Because if you elect to receive the second half kickoff, your opponent is likely to elect to defend the closed-end goal in the third quarter, which means you'll be kicking toward the open end in the fourth quarter. It would be better to elect to receive to begin the game, which would likely cause your opponent to elect to receive to begin the second half, which would allow you to then elect to defend the closed-end goal in the third quarter, so you could kick to the closed end in the fourth quarter. Remember, each team exercises an option at the start of each half."

The Good: The Packers remain undefeated in the NFC North, a year after going 0-6, and are 11-3. Wayne and Larry on the radio side, too.

The Bad: Fox production of games has me ready to shove a screwdriver in my ear. Stop it with the damn split screen (close-up of QB as he's at the line of scrimmage paired with typical shot of line of scrimmage) and all the goofy-azz camera angles. I don't need to see the HC/DC/OC between every damn play, or see a replay while a team is in hurry-up offense. Just let me watch the game, please.

The Ugly: The canoe paddles installed for hands on our WRs and DBs.

Good: Winning. And the defense for three plus quarters.

Bad: Dropped passes on the first series that negated points. And the last 5 offensive series. Five three and outs.

Ugly. Rodgers underthrowing the pass to Graham in the second quarter. Lost at least three points there. And finally, taking a sack after the Lowery interception. Had a chance to put the game away and Rodgers messed that up. We need him to play better.

Good: The pass protection in general was outstanding. That's a good team that hounded Rodgers all night in week 1. The only time Khalil Mack got a sniff of Rodgers was when they decided not to block him

Bad: Aaron Rodgers. He's paid like a star and did not give a star performance. While that is a good defense, their secondary is not their strength. With the time he was given, he should have done more. Much more.

Ugly: Killer instinct. They went up 21-3 midway through the 3rd. From there is was "All brake, no gas" on both sides of the ball. It was a total team effort from coaching staff to the players on the field.

Good: Tyler Ervin provides strength to special teams again. Great pickup.

Bad: inability to move the ball in crunch time.

Ugly: Having no player block Mack, let alone 2, giving him an unimpeded path to Rodgers. How could that possibly happen?

Not signalling for a fair catch on the first punt was really a bad mark. Ball security is number one, and he did not pass that test. He got lucky when the officials penalized Patterson for a perfectly legal hit.

Good: Watched Jenkins execute some nice blocks against a tough D- line - great rookie!

Ervin made the Pack's Special Teams a bit special today - gains yardage and improves field position.

Kenny Clark continues to play some impressive football and Lowry makes a real heads - up interception.

Kumerow makes a real nice grab and sheds several tacklers while racking up the YAC!

Real Good: Being 11 and 3 and beating the Bears in the 200th Packers - Bears game!

Bad: Drops, too many hands of stone today.

Ugly: Too many short, forced or missed passes to WRs and TEs, too many three and out series but, will take and enjoy an ugly win!

Good: Beating the Bears /11-3 record/playoffs/Clark/Lowery interception

Bad: Rodgers taking away Lowery’s hero glory by getting sacked and taking Packers out of FG range that would have sealed the victory as a result of the pick. All Rodgers had to do was throw it away and not take the yardage loss!!

Ugly: having to watch stagnant offense playing not to lose in the 4thQ a la Mike McCarthy...where Rodgers could not complete one pass for 6-7 yards on 3rd downs!! Not gonna be pretty in Viking land with Rodgers completing 48% of his passes as he needs to get a lot more accurate. (And yes, I know there were some drops...but he still misses receivers way too often!)

Can Rodgers stop playing to safe and worrying too much about throwing int’s. I swear it’s like the middle of the field is off limits to him. You can complete passes in tighter window’s in the middle cause the ball gets there quicker. Perfect example is the throw’s trubisky completed in 4th quarter. There wasn’t much separation but he’d rifle those in there for completions. Rodgers rarely throws to his te’s or hits his wr’s on slants/ crossers/ or in breaking routes. He just completely ignores it. And what happened to throwing to the rb’s. When Rogers was playing his best was when he was getting the ball out quick and spreading the ball around and utilizing the running backs in the passing game. It seems like ever since Adams came back he’s ignoring the running backs in the passing game, holding the ball and spreading the ball around less. I think he focuses too much on trying to find Adams and not on finding the good match up and taking advantage of it. Don’t get me wrong we need to utilize Adams but you can’t put all your focus on him and then miss other guys that are getting open and ignore the rb’s. He needs stop playing so damn safe and start trusting your guys and yourself and Just get back to hitting the rb’s , utilizing the middle and getting the ball out quick and let his receivers run after the catch. And this offense will start rolling. This goes for the coaching staff as well with their playcalling when we get a lead.

Packers aren't going anywhere. We are a fraudulent 11 win team. Once again we get a nice lead and then turtle up and hang-on for dear life. At first in years past I thought is was all McCarthy but it's a disease that has infected this organization as a whole. Play to win the game and we play not to lose.

GOOD: Clinched a playoff spot. Kenny Freakin' Clark.

BAD: Quite possibly the most "meh" 11-3 football team in the history of the league

UGLY: Aaron Jones' horrific pass protection. Completely embarrassing.

UGLY: All Packer "pass catchers" (cough, cough) who are not named Davante Adams. I've been writing this all year, and see no reason at all to stop now. One rumblin' bumblin' stumblin' play from Kumerow (who came into this game with 10 catches and 163 yards) doesn't change the fact that this is one of the worst WR units in the league.

The Good... The Packers Offense, Defense, and ST for 2.5 quarters of the game.

The Bad... The Packers Offense and Defense for 1.5 quarters of the game AND the Packers coaching staff INABILITY to make adjustments as the game wears on.

The Ugly... The feeling I have at the end of EVERY game since week 9 when the Packers got stomped by the Chargers. I feel like I NEED to take a shower to get rid of the Packers stink from their performance.

The STUPID... Hey MLF...If Aaron Jones isn't lined up wide or in the slot (Which he should be on 3rd down) PUT IN JAMAL WILLIAMS TO PASS BLOCK. On 2 plays Jones tried to block a Blitzer straight up and got blown up and shoved into Rodgers face. Don't even for a second think Minnesota AND everyone else isn't going to do exactly what the Bears did if Jones is in pass protection...

SIGH...I miss Campen...A LOT!

Definitely the good: Pretending to be in Green Bay, while sipping a cuba libre in Barbados. Nice job Aaron Nagler, beanie hat, parka and Bermuda Shorts. 11-3 on a team that doesn't have an identity. Last time I looked it said Packers which is synonymous with winning.

The gooder: I think Rashan Gary got a sack.

The bad: No matter what the outcome next week, we will have to listen to the championless complain that the referees handed the game to the Packers. Whine on Hennepin Penguins.

The Badass: Kenny Clark

The Ugly: Would somebody stitch some arms on MVS please. The Houdini act is getting old MVS and you belong on the practice squad. While you are at it, take Tonto with you.

Uglier: Dean Lowry, one guy to beat and open field to glory. Come on Dean use the stiff appendage (arm).

So there was that first touchdown to Davante on 4th and 4...

The announcers were saying (guessing, probably) that ARod went over to the sidelines and made his case to MLF to go for it, then went back onto the field and threw a TD to Adams. Then the camera cut back to LaFluer who was pointing at someone and shouting - presumably to ARod - "GOOD PLAY!! GOOD PLAY!!"

Did anybody else watch that play and think, "Hmmm. I wonder if we just saw the neutering of Head Coach Matt LaFluer..."

Is this the play that is going to cement it in ARod's mind once and for all, "Nah, we don't need to follow the game plan or listen to the coach. Lemme just bomb one to Davante...."?
