Aaron chats with Packers fans world wide as the Week 1 showdown with the Vikings inches closer with no real idea what the makeup of the offensive line will be.

Earlier this afternoon, I held my Packers chat over on our YouTube channel talking all things Green and Gold.

The only mystery is what they see in Hanson.
This is the line I'd like to see if both Bakh and Jenkins are 100% healthy, left to right:
Bakhtiari
Jenkins
Myers
Runyan
Nijman
Tom backs up everywhere
Rhyan backs up guards
Walker backs up tackles
Newman and Hanson? Really, who cares. Neither is long term solution. They're reaching if they think either is and both will be gone in a year or two. Give the backups a shot now and let them develop faster. It's been done before.
If either Bakh or Jenkins can't go anytime soon?
Call up Caleb Jones.
Then left to right:
Nijman
Jenkins
Myers
Runyan
Walker
OR:
Bakh
Runyan
Myers
Tom/Rhyan
Nijman
How about this for a beefy 4th/goal and 1 line?:
Walker - 324
Jenkins - 311
Myers - 310
Rhyan - 321
Jones - 340
Throw in Mercedes Lewis - 267
Hand the ball to Dillon - 247
Run Right. Push young men, push. Who's going to stop that?

Why would you move Runyan?

If bakh and Jenkins are 100% healthy I think that combination is better than having Hanson or Newman on the line. Jenkins is an All-Pro LG, maybe the best LG in the NFL, which is the more important position than RG. I like Runyan a lot, but he is not a healthy Jenkins.
IMO interior line: Jenkins > Runyan > Newman > Hanson. And I predict by end of year Tom and or Rhyan will be > Newman > Hanson
Jenkins is probably a better RT than Nijman at this point, but putting him there risks Newman/Hanson having to be at RG. I think Nijman or maybe Walker at RT gives a better line combination.
Tackles get all the praise and money, but I believe it starts with the interior line. I'd rather not see the pocket collapsing on Rodgers again and having him running around. Give him the time to step up and make the throw. He may need it. And I could give two cents what a player agent wants. A coach should be putting the best line together and agents be damned.
[edit] btw, I didn't down vote you. Legit question. No reason to down vote. I never down vote.

Who is “Wallace”? Are you referring to Rasheed Walker?

My bad. Corrected. Wrong sport and too old.

I can say this about Newman, he did have a nice block on the outside for the Tyler Goodson TD run. As far as Hanson go's it looks like they want him to take the role that Patrick did last year as kind of a versatility guy that could play any three spots on the inside. Now we haven't seen that much of him to really pass judgement yet but I'll trust the Packer coaching staff that this guy can at least hold his own.

Hanson is a penalty waiting to happen. He must be in the room for leadership purposes. That's the only thing that we can't see that the coached do.

ND vs Mich., who wins? Could the Bears beat them?
