As Vic, the old sage use to say, the train eventually has to arrive at the station. Been hearing the train whistle in the distance for a few years and now it's getting louder and will be arriving soon. If the can keeps getting kicked down the road and things don't work out, and the Packers have to go dark, then those kicking the can need to be shown the door as well.

Every nfl team reaches the station of no cap return and poor on field results at some time. The league has designed it that way…parity, cap limits, etc. iMHO it’s that time at Lambeau. Hard reset. Take the hit, clear the cap and reboot the team. I no longer believe QB12 gives this team the best chance to win. His experience and natural talents no longer compensate for his age and physical limits. He is not the mobile QB required in the present day NFL. Do good by him and try to trade QB12 wherever he wants and get what you can. Pay part of his salary if need be, seems to me Cleveland did that years ago. Picks in 24 or 25 may be more useful than 23. The ring of honor awaits. Perhaps for Crosby too. Restructure Jones if possible. Cap casualties on Amos, Smith, Cobb, Lazard, Tonyan. A 1-2 year reboot. Fill the can with concrete and move on…

I agree it’s time but some just want to hang on to the past just do it !! Same timeline as farve to Rodgers (3-yrs) if arod comes back dead cap hits are as follows this yr 41 million after 23 season 68 million after 24 season 74 million and the dead cap can not change as its money payed now but cap hit pushed forward just think it would be the 80’s all over again I loved thru that time and gb stunk for many yrs Not worth it just to run it back again

The only thing resembling the '80s has been the drafting. The Devante trade earned a buffer with the one and two picks in 2022. Too many whiffs on high picks 2020-21.

Nags has it right, in that the light at the end of the tunnel is the train. To ignore the implication is folly. To care about "feelings" of an individual over the wellbeing of the team as a whole only results in clutter, chaos and failure. And, yeah, I lived through the eighties with the Packers.
