No, in the sense of this year, but developing them remains the philosophy and that means taking one every year or two. He was talking about an approach in principle: getting back to the pre teens practice of draft develop and trade if you can.

This year we could easily see a new 3rd, but very late or undrafted probably. They aren’t going to take meaningful snaps from Love or Clifford in preseason. Clifford will likely get a heavier load.

They can do better than Clifford at backup. That may be the objective.

Sounds like he prepares for a potential trade back, just making sure QB needy teams can“t feel to sure GB not taking this QB5 or 6 from the board.

If a guy like Rattler fell to the 4th round I wouldn't mind them drafting and developing them all Wolf. They obviously did a good job with Love, why stop at one?

If you have what you need it's ok. Makes good trade pieces later if you can do it. Look at all the Packer QBs spread around the league during the Favre and Rodgers eras.

Wouldn't hurt to add a punter and kicker too. Get pressure on these guys in camp, so that game days are a cake walk.

Everybody forgets about Mark Brunell when mentioning past QB's... He was selected in the fifth round of the 1993 Draft. After two seasons behind Favre, we traded him to the expansion Jaguars for their first season. He did pretty well there too. Love those Lefty QB's.

As much as I love Clifford, Yes keep drafting and developing. Clifford will get traded for a higher round pick within the next year or 2. He'll get a shot somewhere, dude is a baller. Keep drafting them if the value is there.
