Interesting move at this stage...it means Lowry is likely to remain a Packer for at least 2021.

I might argue that this means the DL room is pretty much set for the time being.

I saw this pop up on FB. Is this part of an effort to "give" Rodgers more money? Or is this part of an effort to create more salary cap room to "give" Rodgers more weapons?

If it's giving Rodgers more money, I don't like the move. This sends a message that Rodgers is in the driver's seat. It also sends the message to other players that the FO will restructure (defer money, reduce any player's salary, etc.) in order to appease Rodgers.

If this is part of an effort to improve the team overall, then let's see where the effort goes. What is Rodgers doing toward that effort?

Tom Brady calls the shots in Tampa , that team will do whatever it takes to win again and they probably will , unfortunately the Packers don’t treat Rodgers and didn’t treat Favre the same way , when Brady was on the Pats they re loaded every season to put him in a position to win , that mindset seemed to work.

Understand. But how many times did Brady restructure HIS compensation so the Patriots could load up their roster? IIRC, Brady was a little more proactive there.

This adds $2.488 million to the available cap space. Add in the $500,000 Aaron Rodgers forfeited in not achieving his workout bonus, the Packers added just under $3 million in cap space this week.
