Packers hiring Tom Clements to be QB coach
The Green Bay Packers are reportedly set to bring back Tom Clements as their quarterbacks coach, a position he held under Mike McCarthy while helping develop a young Aaron Rodgers.

Well, is this because he really helped a new Rodgers and thus to work with Love, or to make the old version cozy?

I think that's an important take. We point toward ARod, but it might be that there's enough institutional memory at 1265 to recognize the role he played in 12's development. Could be a play that works whichever way this plays out.

Just trade Rodgers before he insists we trade another 5th round pick for another over the hill friend. Time to move on, Rodgers has choked too often in the big games and his salary is a cap killer. Quit groveling.

My scenario:
Rodgers signs 2 year extension.
Murphy must retire according to by laws at 70. 2 years
Clements retired and came back to GB to coach Rodgers & mentor Love for the next two years
Packers win the next two Super Bowls
Rodgers-Murphy-Clements go riding off in the sunset 🌇
Packers pick up Loves 5th year option, he starts the new era

Do Murphy and Guter have any self respect? I mean, dredging up an old Mike McMuffin coach to appease Rodgers. Seriously? What’s the next step? Replacing the G on the helmet with an R? Maybe Murphy can wash Aaron’s car and Gute can clean out his garage. What a pathetic display.
