He should have never been drafted.
He's part of the third rd curse now.
A WR would have been a better choice.

The Jones clone was Bucky Irving. Bullard in rd two was the head scratching selection, given the options. Not many WRs on the board after the second round.

Here's your depth draft. Wolf protected Favre, do the same for Love:

#47 Josh Conerly OT Oregon
#54 Restrepo WR Miami ( a Belichick type of guy
who moves the chains and Scores TDs in the Hot Zone).

#78 Jared Wilson OC Georgia
#93 Jack Bech WR TCU (Jordy clone).
#115 Q.Riley CB L-ville ( he will go higher).
#124 Stutsman LB OKIE ( some have him rd 2).
#152 Jack Sawyer DE OSU ( will not fall).
#159 Nohl Williams CB CAL ( moving up)
#184 Dalton Cooper OT OK state
#225 Ty Hamilton DT OSU
#237 Broughton DT Texas ( pass rush guy).

Early TC hamstring injury that bit him twice last season. For an explosive player, that's no wonder he was out nearly the entire season, save for 1 game and 6 rushing attempts... Sounds like there were communication issues between the rookie and the Packers training staff on extent of injury, and that had to have been a frustrating part of his learning curve.

He is certainly a talented and dynamic chunk yardage player when available, but, turning Pro means you have to diligently take care of your body. Hopefully MarShawn learned his lesson there, and we get to see him play healthy for a full season.

Totally agree. I love and share your optimism. The upside with Lloyd is exciting. One thing is absolutely certain. He will not need another appendectomy! I think he will add yet another explosive dimension to the team both as a runner and a receiver.

This reminds me of the Eddie Lee Ivery Pick manny years ago. Not a first rounder but also a gamble on greatness- lets hope it is fullfilled.Should he suffer another lengthy injury the 3rd round curse advocates or the always hurt crowd will be slamming Gute for taking him but one fifty yard scamper to the house and they will forget it all

A year ago, we had a lot of questions at RB. We had just acquired Jacobs, and weren't really sure what we had. We didn't know very much about his backup, Wilson, either. A year later and we should be happier than pigs in mud over our offensive backfield situation. We added Willis at backup QB. I'd have to say we're ahead of where we were a year ago.

Lloyd can run, but he had a fumbling problem in college and he had some bad health luck last year. AND the two guys ahead of him stayed healthy and played well. We'll probably get a good look at him in the preseason this year.

As far as being ahead of last year going into the draft, the starting offensive line looks to be better. The backups prior to the draft were Newman and some other guys I've forgotten already. Now, the backups include a #1 draft pick and two second year players. Again, I think that's ahead of last year.

The #6 defense returns most of their guys. They replaced Stokes with Hobbs and they'll have to replace Slaton. That's a lot better off than a year ago when we had nothing but question marks about the new DC and guys McKinney, and before we drafted Bullard and Cooper and Williams. We're DEFINITELY ahead of where we were a year ago at this point.

It's intriguing to see how MarShawn Lloyd will pan out for the Packers in 2025. The potential is there, but it’s anyone’s guess how he’ll fit into the lineup
