Thank you for raising the issue of coaches evaluating players, and what affect that has that they never come out and tell us. Micah Parsons articulated that the most important traits for an edge rusher to have are effort and relentless pursuit. Was he just saying that to get fans fired up? I don't believe that for a minute! Likewise, coaches have loved Nixon because of the effort he's shown in practice; he just jumped off the field as the hungriest guy on the team when I was at TC. It's easy to see that will gain some favor with a coaching staff - as it should!

What went wrong or when, I'm not so sure. Obviously I hope they get that corrected but that's besides the point of player effort and work ethic. Hopefully the team has that working in their favor going forward.
