Mark, you were a great leader of the organization!

Murphy was OK until he stuck his tousled head into football ops - where he mucked-up the Mike McCarthy, Ted Thomson and Aaron Rodgers transitions. So probably would have been better for the Team if Muphy retired 7 years ago.

With the talent the Packers had at QB over the past 25 years you would have expected more Super Bowl championships. Murphy was good but not great. Packers should have received much more trade compensation for Farve and Rodgers when they were traded. When Policy officially takes over I hope he looks for another GM. Not happy with Gutes drafting.... Still need an athletic aggressive edge rusher. LVN was a mistake as a first round selection. Packers are younger and cheaper but not the best team in the NFC North. The Vikings, Lions and Bears have all improved.

I hope Ed Policy has the strength of character to undo some of Murphy's over-reach.

Ed Policy has a different background than did Mark Murphy, so I would hope that the team reverts to it's previous organizational chart in which our general manager has total responsibility and authority over football operations.

Ed and Mark are two different people. Just look how they tie their ties. (knot leaning to the left...the other to the right).

I realize that the current topic is Mark Murphy and Ed Policy, but I feel the real architect of the Green Bay Packers is Bob Harlan. In my eyes he saved this franchise by managing to get tax payers of Brown Country to agree to a 5% sales tax to help fund the renovations making Lambeau Field into a year around facility and a revenue generator by having the second largest seating capacity in the NFL. That and hiring Murphy to continue his plan has resulted in Lambeau Field becoming among the most exalted stadiums in the league. I personally feel that Bob Harlan should be in the NFL Hall of Fame for his accomplishments in creating the most revered stadium and football city in the United States.

harlan greatness was to understand SBs make great franchises. he did everything he could to do that...just think about the hiring of reggie white...the only harlan mistake was to make murphy his successor but I'm not sure that was all on him or may be more on the board of directors.
murphy ruined all harlan work.

Bob Harlan used to answer his own phone line and he would talk to you and when he did he was very polite...this is a fact.
