Packers Coaching in High School: McNabb & Pulaski Take on Undefeated Manitowoc Lincoln

Pulaski, with former fullback Dexter McNabb as athletics director and fullback coach, look for a share of the conference lead as they take on Manitowoc Lincoln tonight.

Several former Green Bay Packers players now coach in the high school ranks. Here's a brief update on this week's games...

  • After shutting out Green Bay West last week 46–0, former linebacker Bryce Paup leads Green Bay Southwest (5–2) into a meeting with cross-town rival Green Bay Preble (6–1) on the road this evening.
  • With former fullback Dexter McNabb as athletics director and fullbacks coach, Pulaski (6–1) travels to undefeated Manitowoc Lincoln (7–0) in a match-up of the top two teams in the Fox River Classic Conference.
  • In a battle of two undefeated teams, Waukesha West, (7–0) with former tight end Mark Chmura as an assistant coach, visits Arrowhead (7–0) tonight. West beat Catholic Memorial 32–7 last week.
  • Following a 34–28 win over Manitowoc Roncalli last week, Sturgeon Bay (4–3) was able to get a game above .500. With former quarterback Randy Wright as offensive coordinator, Sturgeon Bay takes on a tough opponent in Brillion (6–1) tonight on the road.
  • Aurora Christian in Illinois beat Walther Lurthern handily last week 48–6. This week they put their 5–1 record on the line with former wide receiver Don Beebe as head coach in a game at Immaculate Conception.
  • St. Andrews Episcopal in Austin, Texas lost their third straight game under former quarterback Ty Detmer last week as they were defeated by Cistercian 49–12. They look to get back on the winning track this week with a game at Episcopal School of Dallas.
  • Former wide receiver Andre Rison got only his second career win in two seasons as head coach of Flint Northwestern (2–5) last night as they beat Bloomfield Hills Andover 35–28.
  • St. Vincent-St. Mary of Akron, Ohio, where former safety Mark Murphy is an assistant coach, remained undefeated (6–0) with a 41–14 win over Garfield last week. They put their undefeated record on the line in a contest at Marion Harding this evening.
  • After a 26–7 loss to Kettle Run last week, Skyline High School in Front Royal, Virginia fell to 2–5. With former linebacker Ben Taylor as assistant coach, they hope for a better outcome against Millbrook tonight.
