Packers back to printing money

The team's local revenue was up more than 3x from the pandemic 2020 season.

The Packers reported a $77.7 million operating profit today for the most recent fiscal year.

The team's local revenue showed an increase of $170 million ($61.9 million to $231.7 million) as fans were back in Lambeau to watch their favorite team in 2021.

The Packers Pro Shop also posted its best year ever.

"That was the real story there was the return to normalcy and the return of the fans," President/CEO Mark Murphy said. "By and large we have moved beyond any financial effects from the pandemic."

Overall, the team posted a $77.7 million operating profit in the 2021 season on $579 million in revenue, thanks in large part to a 12-percent gain in revenue split equally throughout the NFL. Teams shared $11.1 billion in television and sponsorship revenue in 2021, or $347.3 million per team.

The previous prez certainly could, seeing how he intruded frequently in private sector with threats and sanctions, duties, etc. and a pack of predatory lawyers. Nice that you invited this comment....since we support packers football and relieved that it is a sustainable business according to the report.

That is a nice increase in local revenue. It would be 5% increases per year since 2019, or 9.9% in 2021 over 2019 levels. The 12% increase in national revenue is more expected given the extra week of the season and the extra playoff games.

Murphy attributed some of the increase to the Pro Shop's best year ever and to Atrium sales. No mention of titletown. GB "has invested $467M since 2011 in Stadium-related projects including Titletown." I can't find a breakdown. Titletown seems like a good idea to me, but I just can't find any numbers as to its ROI.

I am not sure if the $66M (I see $64.7M in other articles) from the stock sale is included in these numbers. I am assuming not, since that would put a major damper on this news.
