This all falls on Murphy. He consolidated all the power and this ALL belongs to him. Step one: Fire Mark Murphy. Step two, restore the power structure so the GM is responsible for football operations. Gutekunst knows how to do this, he can't have Murphy meddling anymore.

When a team faces adversity it reflects the coach. MLF is not a crisis coach. He's a front runner. Honest to god, I hope Mike McCarthy lays a 50-spot on this embarrassment of a team.

Justice is coming.

I agree, I'm sorry, but we had more plays his first year. What happened to the jet sweep?
Swervin Irvin was the only guy that can run it.
How about a option pass. Something we haven't done in 20 years.1st and goal. Run it four times please

I REALLY hate that perplexed look. Good coaches never look like they just can't understand how whatever happened, happened.

He needs to be fired, but I don't trust Murphy (or Ball, if he's really Murphy's replacement) to hire anyone better.

they sure did...hard to watch this kind of football...mistakes all over on both sides of the ball...red zone..who cares they can't score and they turn it over, get a couple of huge stops, nope, first downs given through penalties...dumb team...and why did they go get Sammy Watkins, he still hasn't learned the playbook, runs the wrong routes all the time...send Jones to a contender I hate seeing such a weapon on the sidelines while MLF's man crush Dillon plugs away for 2 yard a run..bah...the Bears are the up and coming team with money to spend and draft picks, Fields looked pretty good running all over today, Packers need a rebuild or they better get accustomed to being a cellar dweller with the Lions...people called todays game the Toilet Bowl, it sure was...

Personally, I did not enjoy watching the game. Can’t speak for anyone else.

Two Dee-Troit players scored their first NFL touchdowns today. That. Is. Special. So proud of those young men.

How did the Lions come up with unstoppable Red Zone plays? What type of magic is involved in scoring touchdowns in those situations? Asking for a friend.

The D held the Lions under 150 yards rushing (immoral victory!).

It seems the pendulum has swung back the other way, and the shoe is now on the other foot for the Green Bay Packers. Whether we’re up a creek without a paddle or caught with our pants down, it’s fair to wonder; just how low can we go?

Watch for falling prices at the Packer Pro Shop.

I’m nauseous.

It made me kind of sad, and reminded me of 1968, when we lost at home to the Colts and it was obvious the Packers great run was over. It also kind of had me thinking about 2005, when we went from a team that had won the division three years in a row just decomposed to a 4-12 record, driven largely by poor QB play.

How low can we go? We could go to 3-14, but I don't think that's going to happen and neither do you.

The organization has a lot of thinking to do on the plane ride home tonight. If you don't make any changes, are you competitive against the Cowboys and Titans?

I'd make the change. I don't see us making the playoffs with Aaron Rodgers as our QB this year, and we should find out what we have in Love before we exercise the 5th year option.

The Aaron Rodgers era is rapidly coming to a close. I totally agree we need to find out what the Packers have in Jordan Love. Given the direction of this team, it is entirely possible the Packers will have a shot at drafting one of several pretty good college QBs (Stroud, Young, Hooker, etc.) if need be.

Should be an interesting starting point for a discussion with all those folks who kept saying this last off-season that the Packers would be lucky to be a 6-win team without Rodgers.

What did Ted Thompson say? That it's better to let a guy go a year early than to give him a cap crippling extension a year late?

"I'd make the change. I don't see us making the playoffs with Aaron Rodgers as our QB this year, and we should find out what we have in Love before we exercise the 5th year option."

You and I and probably 99% of the Packers fans here are 100% on board with that LH. The salary cap is FUCKED. There's nothing they can do really to bring in anyone next season, and I can't imagine Rodgers wanting to go through another season like this one...ESPECIALLY if he's benched for Love.

BUT I wonder if MLF will do it. He's completely lost this team IMO. It's like watching a rudderless ship in choppy waters. Any GM and/or Team President just needs to listen to one of Lafluer's press conference to realize he has NOTHING left to say. NOTHING to rally his players. Hell, he's been out of answers since last year.

I'll now start cheering for teams like the Texans. Raiders, Jaguars, Panthers, Steelers, and the Lions each week. Each of those teams needs to win at least 2 more games apiece.

IF that was to happen and the Packers drop every remaining game on their schedule, which I think is a pretty good possibility, they'll be in position to draft one of the best QBs in the 2023 draft. Well, unless Love shows us something in the coming weeks.

Not this year but next year the lions are going to get another boat load of young top picks and their rebuild will be over, probably the top QB in the draft as well since Goof will have played out his very expensive contract.
The Bears are starting to look good and Fields is getting it, two touch downs and 178 yards running yesterday. Throw in 11 drafts picks next year and 100 mil under cap and this team can add some immediate talent to fill holes and give fields the support he needs.
Thus, the packers go into next season as the basement team will no money to spend, 5 starters moving on and a slew of 5,6,7 round picks to add to this weak roster. Not gonna be pretty. Heads will roll for sure

Really? They blew up our pass offense just to keep Rodgers and give him 50mil. There is no way in hell he sits on the bench for Love. That would be saying, we fd it up big time. They dont have the balls to do that and the ax would fall on them if they did.

To me the problem is simple. This is not a talented team. The running game is okay, just okay. The passing game we traded that away for late round picks and took Wyatt with a one to waste that one away,
The O line is made up of pathwork. Jenkins and Bak just cant stay healthy and you filling in crap.
You either have playmakers on both sides of the ball or you dont and we dont. Hell they could have been 8-9 will a lot of work and help.
We gave out offense away. Quit a gift to anyone who plays us.

MLF could have made a statement towards getting back this team by sitting swollen head Rodgers in the 2nd half. You know the OTA'S that swollen head didn't attend. MLF not playing most of the starters not one play in the preseason. Well when they can't get players on the the same page, and its the middle of the season you know why. Rodgers runs the ship. They gave this Diva the key to the bank and screwed this teams cap for the next few years

It was a nice run for many with the three 13-3 records and having the ability to ignore the reality that was obviously lurking.

Reality has kicked down the door of that three year fantasy of the MLF era. All I can say is the word that described the preseason, “WOW”.

Lastly, since it seems apparent that Nagler has decided to do Gut Reactions in video format, this is my last for the Gut Reactions. No, I won't let the door hit me in the ass. I will close it graciously with a thanks for the times before.

Ya and we fd up those 13-3 years because rodgers played poorly worried about those top defenders intercepting him and ruining his little day. Last year he threw two, count em, two passes in the playoff game to anyone not named Adams. Lazard was streaking down the middle all alone and Rodgers threw the ball out of bounds to avoid a hit. That all he does not try to avoid a hit and make pre snap decision how he can unload the ball quickly to avoid a hit.

Such a huge disappointment after such great expectations.
Criticisms —where do we start…
Three game changing penalties and a dropped interception by the D near the goaline.
Watkins—did any of us want him?
Watson, can’t remain on the field more than two consecutive plays.
…the worst play calling imaginable.
Dillon—WTH.
Savage—seriously…you’re best tackle of the year was out-of-bounds.
I spent more than the national debt for tickets and lodging for next week’s game vs the Cowboys.
What a huge disappointment.
Oh well—Go Packers!!

Wow, talk about a lack of context.

Yeah, the Packers suck right now. But from 2000 until now only 2 teams have more wins. The Packers have won a superbowl during that time. Aside from New England, which pretty much blows every other team in every other sport out of the water, GB's 1 championship since 2000 is as many or more than all other teams except PIT, BAL, NYG and TB who have 2 each. 19 teams have not won any superbowls during that time. 12 teams haven't even been to a superbowl during that time. And you're mortally offended at not getting what you "deserve" as a loyal fan. LOL.

I’m in partial agreement with you Fubared—severely disappointed in Watson.
I am however an NDSU Bison fan—follow them closely. Believe me, NDSU is well known in NFL circles, inspite of the jokes about NoDak.
I believe there are currently 19 NDSU players in the NFL- 2 of which are top five picks (QB’s no less) and a 3rd string QB on the Chargers. Two NDSU players are currently on the Packers, and Billy Turner, also a former Bison.
In any case, NDSU is a run heavy program. Watson was a phenom in a system which seldom passed. He had many drops and that was a huge concern in my mind when we drafted him. And now, here we are…dropping passes and getting injured.

The Packers must move on from BAHK.. The in and Out has to stop. Time is the enemy. We need stability along the OL. Might as well Get younger.
Everyone is cutting players because of their Cap problems. I don't see that as a issue with Bahk.
But it wouldn't hurt. Bahk is like a lemon now. You'll never be able to depend on him. He will keep you broke.
Buying what you need doesn't always work! It's time for a better choice.
The packers must draft better, and move on from players with medical issues.

Whatever goes on with a football team is ultimately the responsibility of the head coach. Matt LaFleur may have just spent all of his capital from those three straight 13 win seasons today.

Could Murphy think about going after Sean Payton, who's out there now? Would he think about giving Eric Bienemy, Kansas City's offensive coordinator, his long awaited head coaching chance?

I couldn't tell you how the Packers went 39-10 the past 3 years looking at the product out there since the second half of the London game. But it's clear MLF has no fix and has lost the team.

What Murphy said when he fired McCarthy in the 2018 season needs to be said now again: this team needs a new voice.

the new voice it needs is to replace Murphy. he was classless when he let McCarthy go.

he insisted on taking over football operations (ted thompson spinning in his grave) and this is the net effect. Murphy is suited for attending league meetings and kissing roger goodell's ass. He opens a mean sledding hill.

everything this team did in the past was driven toward having a competitive team now, and a competitive team in the future. the sold the future out the window with that horrid contract they gave aaron. i guarantee that has Murphy's finger prints on it. Fire Mark Murphy Monday morning.

The season long frustrations of Rodgers showed again. I don’t believe he’s lost Lady Luck. But he does need to change his stress solutions.
Like previous games; The Lions knew when to run the ball. And as long as this Defense lets the opposing team control the game. I wouldn’t worry about signing anybody.
I believe the Packers found their OL. Tom is a LT. And Nijman is officially a RT. Keep them there.!!!
The Rookie Wrs keep showing why they are the future. They only need to adjust to the flight of the ball better. Adams learned how. Which is probably why Rodgers likes veterans.
The packers are now spoilers. And not contenders. Still Lets go back to the 4-3-4.

7-10 is looking good right about now. The OT eligible wasn't even sandlot. It was sandbox. Watkins, as I mentioned, needed to go last week. No TEs on this team to create the plays in the seams and hook zones. Gutedkunst let three guys with major knee injuries rehab during season. Watson is being crunched, get him along the sidelines and play to his strength. LaFleur gets an OC gig next spring. The rookie wides just need to work on their steps, release faster.
Watched NFL Red Zone and the rest of the league is similar. Hitting is no longer allowed.

I believe 6-11. I agree on the WRs. Tonyan has slowed. DeGuara will get more targets. And Gutey wouldn't have tried to trade for a TE, unless he saw the red Zone problem. I believe Rodgers knows he's in a rebuild. The more Rodgers shows his frustration. The More Gutey will make the Gut reactions on change.

Gutedkunst should move along with Murphy to greener pastures. Hockenson would not have been a a big deal to outbid the queens. Number ones eventually need to be impact players. He picked the wrong corner from Georgia. Savage is wasting space. Another misfire giving him the 5th yr option. The first quarter strategy was fine ,but no real RED ZONE threat to bring home the points. La Fleur again goes with some version of crackpot analytics and foregoes the FG in the first QTR. Take the three. Rodgers getting passes tipped and batted down ?

Hock caught all 9 Targets today. Picked up the offense in 4 days. I said That Stokes was Grabby. (mistake)
And Thornhill was my choice for safety. Also RT Bulaga and C Linsey were going to haunt him. And have!
RED ZONE = This is where they miss Adams. If I was Gutey I would go after another Left handed receiver.
I would have taken the 3s myself.
Rodgers needs to forget about his buddies. He's older and can't carry them anymore.
If Tom can replace Bahk, they better do it. Nijman is getting better at RT. Move on from Hanson, Walker, and Newman.

Rodgers threw a ball directly into a defender's helmet who was just past the LOS. The defender wasn't leaping, he had his feet planted on the turf. That's not a tip, that's not batted down. That's a shitty throw by Rodgers.

Why is everyone so committed to creating this bubble of protection around Rodgers?

We watched a team with Aaron Rodgers at QB Score 9 pts against the worst Defense in the league ..as the team with Rodgers losses its 5th game in a row. All good things must come to an end. Bummer. Lost season. I'd say time for a total gutting and rebuild, but, our GM didn't put us in a good position to do that because of how Rodgers contract is structured and with next years cap situation

It was a question. I was just wondering if his new spiritual journey with 'Blu of Earth' is effecting his game on the field? He sure doesn't seem like the same QB that won back to back MVPs the last 2 years. I'll take your answer as a 'No' you don't think his new personal life is effecting his game.

Corey and Aaron checked out of this joint years ago. Al runs it; and does a great job. Aaron and Corey don't pay attention to the website any longer it seems.

They now cater to the wider audience, which is, generally speaking, the younger, "I need quicker to consume content because I don't have an attention span" audience.

Well the last time we had to replace our Franchise QB we already had his replacement in house and didn't need a high draft pick. This time we will have an excellent draft pick and can hopefully get another one (Love could work out too, but that's an unknown). Sure there may be someone smart enough on the Packers to figure out how to fix some of the problems, but they are also smart enough to let it play out with the current cast as there's no better way to guarantee a top 3-5 pick.

The fix has to start with clearing out the cap that we’ve stuffed to the gills for the next year or two. It’s pretty laughable that the jokers Ball and Murphy agreed a deal with a QB that prevents us from cutting him for a couple more years. If he doesn’t retire we are stuck with him and more cap unless someone is willing to take his contract ( in a post June 1 trade) or he retires.

Murphy bet the season on Rodgers being MVP level with Lazard and Cobb and minimal cap. Well, actually, he probably bet the next couple as well. That looked very shaky at the time. It has lived up to that view and surpassed it.

Gutt isnt going to let himself look bad and LeFleur knows who signs his paychecks so he aint benching any of Gutts one or two picks that aint working out. That is life and the reality of it. Thus, He will not draft a QB with a 4 5 6 or 7 pick cause it means he doesnt think Love his other one pick is any good.

Greetings to all our beloved fans. I haven't posted since our playoff loss.I must say we are truly a disgrace and the laughing stock of the nfl. How is this possible after only 1 season? I'm 59 years of age. Unfortunately I wasn't able to truly watch the great Lombardi packers, I was too young to enjoy. I had to suffer through out my youth the shite of the 70s and 80s. When the great Lombardi left ,maybe he didn't realise he left the club to go to shite with such incompetent people. Then wolf came with Holmgren a small flaame lit,but still we won too little. Then Sherman,Thompson & gravy fart. Why ? Why does our football club have to be governed by mediocrity? I know Lombardi was a true great, only Bellichick is comparable to him.It will be probably another 50 to 70 years before another Bellichick and Lombardi will come around. I hope we loose all of our remaining matches, so maybe just maybe we can clean house like God commands, from Murphy down to trainers and the waterborne.what a disgrace of a team.to fall so hard after 1 season bye everyone

If only the GB directors had the guts to turf Murphy before his July 2025 tenure ends! My guess is that he has some "golden parachute" deal if he is released prior to this date? He stays until he turns 70. He doesn't have to be competent at his job. He is tenured by AGE! How many of us could keep our jobs no matter how badly we perform? Only 1 guy I can think of...

ITs money and the fact that all teams backload contracts and get rid of guys for picks before they have to pay the piper.
Murphy has refused to do it because the packers are publicly owned and he has an oblication to pay as you go to keep debt off the boards. Thus Rodgers bak and Jaire are eating 1/2 the money so you need to find 5,6,7 round picks and avoid top free agent talent to fill a hole or two. That is why the team sucks

Im not sure what to say here. I love this team, have for almost sixty years through good, bad, great and dismal. Boys and girls, we got problems. Offense continue to be offensive. We have gotten so bad in the red zone that we are now throwing to our banged up left tackle on a trick play? On fourth down:? And it gets picked by a d lineman? If this was growing pains like the first year with Rodgers, I wouldnt say a word. This is a franchise and team in disarray. Somebody send up a flare to Ron Wolff ......Go Pack!

I REALLY want to listen to McAfee now and see what Rodgers has to say. Who's he going to blame this week? Who's he throwing under the bus? Just reading his lips today as best I could show me once again it was never his fault.

Rodgers has never been well liked or close to adored like Bart or even Brett before he got all wishy-washy and then went to the Vikings. But Rodgers is a different breed. I don't know how this is going to end, but Rodgers is quickly becoming one the only all time greats I can think of right this second, that more people than not, DO NOT LIKE HIM.

Also the lighting in the stadium was kind of dim.
The field was rough like cement and hurt his flat feet.
One lion called him a name and hurt his ego.
The play calling didnt fit the situation.

Yes, I have been a GB fan as long as I can remember. As a guy who loves passing oriented offenses, I have loved watching Rodgers up to this season. Even Favre before him. Favre was a high risk gunslinger and the games were high scoring and exciting to watch.

But watching such poor football from this team is not what I want to see when I watch ANY game. I can't say I have ever seen a team that executes so badly. The coaching is absolutely abysmal. Front office management is, well, pitiful. Does that cover the entire football side of the organization?

And the sad fact is that they are too inflexible to change. They have a tenured President who won't leave until the summer of 2025. No matter how he destroys this team in the meantime, he is in until then. They can't change Coordinators because its "too disruptive" - for a 3-6 team? Poor performers like Savage, Amari Rodgers, and a host of others are allowed to continue over other players? The Definition of Insanity must be the mission statement of the GB Packers.

So can I really look forward to improvement in the offseason? Not with Captain Murphy directing this Ship of Fools...

Resuscitations14:4-9 tells of humiliations at the hands of purple-clad invaders of Nordic persuasion. In addition, a lot of people, many, many people are saying there will be a cleansing and transfer of some type of ownership in December in Chicago.

LeFluers mentor got his butt kicked yesterday to (Rams). He has no answer for a team underperforming. Just goes to show its really having talented players around you on both sides the ball who arent all hurt and who the GM delivered via the draft and free agency that makes the coaches. Lefluer has no clue what or how to fix a thing since he learned working under winning programs.

Years ago I learned when you swear. It shows a lack of intelligence. I get he's trying to win. Is hurt. Maybe inside as much as out.
But I believe it's having a adverse effect on him, more than anyone else. And as the camera's film his words and actions. I wonder if he couldn't refrain from it, just a little. After all; children and fans have admired him over the years. -( IT is a little shocking. )
But at some point he's going to hang himself if given too much rope. I Doubt anyone will make him bite on a bar of soap.
And maybe this is the only way he feels he can express himself. Obviously there is a lack of communication. A disconnect.
I have always thought Rodgers was the smartest, most Talented guy on the field. Acting like a ass -hole won't accomplish anything.
I think he realizes that. Everyone must try harder. Hopefully everyone will.

I think he has a right to swear considering he was expecting the run game to take the ball out of his hands most of the game and he could just pass those short yarders that were gauranteed to succeed and keep his passer rating up. Instead he was forced to throw the ball and we all saw what happens when he has to make a throw these days.

Our offensive line stinks. Kind of smells like a butt kiss.

I like to say the O line did a job job protecting Diva Boy, but I saw last weeks Lions game against Miami and their pass rush was non existent. But still they held their own except in run blocking but you cant expect them to be able to do both well can you? Hey either Bak can play or he cant.
Once Stokes went up our pass d and tackling improved a lot of defense. We still had some big holes open but the fact that the Lions best receiver missed the game helped us out a lot.
I have a new name for Watson "two play Watson". Thats about right, two plays and he goes out hurt. What a find by Gutt the genius.
Good thing we have a wide variety of players on the practice squad to fill in for all those injuries. Wonder if Love and play receiver a little bit???
With any luck we may be the second pick in the draft.
