No, it was not the first test. Every week in the NFL is a test, some more difficult than others. If beating Minny in Minny was not the first tough test, beating NO in NO surely was. Neither of those two would have been considered as "in the bag" before the game. In fact, I felt much better about this game than I did either of those two going in.
Shows what I know, I guess. But let's not get into revisionist history that every loss is a failed test and every win was fully expected beforehand. The reality is the Packers laid an egg today. It will mean no more or less when calculating the final record than any other game.

The defense stopped caring about balance. Once the margin went to double-digits, they can pin their ears back and play pass. The Packers have lacked the weapons to defeat that type of defense for 2-3 years now.

I think Dillon could help if they would give him a chance. He looked good on the one run he had, but it was called back for holding. He certainly could help tire that defense out. Baffling why they don't use him more.

Gutey is a Thompson disciple which means linebackers are unimportant, maybe it's cuz Ted was a back-up his entire career. Other than Julius Peppers they never made an attempt to get a real bookend for CM III on the opposite side, and the last time we had a real MLB might be Bishop. Now they have Kenny Clark, the Smith Bros, no other real run stoppers, and they draft QBs, RBs, and TEs.
Tell me you were happy with this springs' draft.

It is like watching the NFC championship games against Atlanta and San Francisco..... good team- but super duper bad against quality opponents. We started off well, but man this one went south in a hurry and it’s still trending down....

Personally, that narrative doesn’t work for me. New Orleans, at home, isn’t a quality opponent?.
We played bad, we got beat, and we’re 4-1. We were 4-1 last year.

Why is Rodgers still playing? The first punt around midfield late in the 3rd was waving the white flag. And they trot out AR for two more series with Bakh on the sideline.
Just a horrible game from top to bottom and the decision by ML to risk Rodgers is just one more indicator.

Scheming guys open only works until the DCs get film and figure it out then you need real players. Bowles figured it out and now we have to rely on Davante and the JAGs to make plays.

This game is on Matt Lafluer! His offense was 3 and out after the 1st quarter all day. Offense could not handle the blitz and Lafluer had no answer. Tampa defense I looks like they got 15 guys on the field !

So, the teams we played up to this point were 5-14 and we went 4-0. After this does it say the Pack isn't that good, Tampa is pretty good, or do you chalk it up to one of those days?

One of those days for the offense. I think they panicked after those picks and couldn't settle back into their game plan. Defensively there are too many reoccuring issues. I wouldn't be surprised to see LaFleur make a change after this season if the problems continue.

good coaches seem to scheme for the players they have, and its hard to believe that all of these defensive players drafted over the past decade can't play. some are doing OK with other teams.
But, a GM that ignores it (or can't see it), that's another story I think.

Special teams collected 13 points for Tampa Bay. K Ryan Succop delivered a perfect 4-for-4 game.
Meanwhile, New Orleans beat the Chicago Bears 21-9 this past Sunday. RB Alvin Kamara and QB Drew Brees were among the main playmakers for the Saints as the former punched in one rushing touchdown and the latter passed for two TDs and 265 yards on 39 attempts. Brees ended up with a passer rating of 145.80.
The Buccaneers are expected to lose this next one by 3. Those playing the odds have seen things go back and forth with Tampa Bay, who are 9-8 against the spread.
A pair of stats to keep an eye on: Tampa Bay enters the game with only ten rushing touchdowns allowed, which is the best in the NFL. But New Orleans ranks first in the league when it comes to rushing touchdowns, with 30 on the season. We'll see if the Buccaneers' defense can keep New Orleans' running backs out of the end zone.

One day after the Packers mostly dominated the Los Angeles Rams in a 32-18 victory, the Buccaneers punished the New Orleans Saints 30-20 at the Superdome. The same swarming defense that made life miserable for Rodgers and Co. in October produced four takeaways and made Drew Brees look like an old man.
That set up a made-for-TV showdown between two living legends. Rodgers and Brady will meet for only the fourth time in their illustrious careers. It will be by far the most important, with Green Bays infamous loss at Seattle in the 2014 NFC Championship Game robbing the world of a Rodgers vs. Brady matchup in the Super Bowl. Rodgers desperately wants to win a second Super Bowl. Brady desperately wants to win a Super Bowl without Bill Belichick.
