A.J. Dillon suffers fractured rib in playoff loss

The second year running back scored the Packers lone touchdown.

Packers running back A.J. Dillon exited last night's playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers after suffering an injury during a kick return that was deemed a "chest injury" that caused him to miss the remainder of the game.

Turns out, Dillon suffered a fractured rib.

From NFL Network:

The second year running back had seven carries for 25 yards along with the Packers only touchdown of the game prior to exiting.

I think the injury occurred on a kick return right?
Damn.

Ok so they’ll give him the whole off-season to recover from the “cracked rib” then put him on the pup list for the first six games. Then still give him until mid season to heal. Then limit his snap counts until the first game of the playoffs.
Great 👍
Good job medical staff & trainers 👍

Is there some reason you're putting cracked ribs in parenthesis? Are you saying you doubt his ribs are cracked? And how exactly would the medical staff and trainers have prevented him getting this specific injury?

You called out Bahk and Z for being pussies in another post. Just curious....what exactly is your medical background?

Of all the players, in all the weather conditions, throughout all of the games, and during of all plays, a kick return, we lose our battering ram, the one guy who really could've made a difference yesterday. Are you serious right now?

They still had a big back with Taylor. Why wasn't he used?

Again special teams! Hopefully some video on the play will surface so we can see what happened. No doubt his loss in a game like that hurt. The Packers were kind of skating on thin ice with their backfield depth most of the season; carrying only 3 active after rookie Hill went down. Especially compared to the number in other areas.

Might be a good idea to add another big back in the Dillon mode so the offense isn't completely changed when Quadzilla gets dinged.
