Aaron Rodgers wins Associated Press 2021 NFL Most Valuable Player Award

This is the quarterback's second win in as many years and fourth NFL MVP Award throughout his 17 year career.

Earlier this evening. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award for the second season in a row, joining Jim Brown, Joe Montana, Brett Favre and Peyton Manning as the only players to win the award in back to back seasons. This of course is Rodgers’ 4th time winning the award, passing Tom Brady, Favre, Brown and Johnny Unitas for most times winning the award during an NFL career. He is now second only to Peytom Manning, who won the award five times.

This past season, the Packers quarterback passed for 37 touchdowns with 4,115 passing yards and just four interceptions while leading Green Bay to the No. 1 seed in the NFC and a record of 13-3 in games he started.

Would be better with some more Super Bowl trophies. He sure gave Matt L a lot of love, will he be coaching Love?

Yep, he won his fourth. If he wins his fifth, let it be in Tennessee. This team needs a retool.
I have no confidence that a Rodgers/ LaFluer combination can win important playoff games.
I’m not sure either can do it independently either. We may have the Marty Schottenheimer of the 2000s as head coach… except that we don’t field a team that will play smash mouth football.
Rodgers is a mystery. There is no doubt in my mind that post season karma is his enemy now.
And finally, even if we won the 49ers game , the Rams would have beaten us in the Championship. Not convincing OBJ to play in GB did make a difference.

Truly, we'll never know. I tend to think we would've beaten the Rams.

I'm still a big Rodgers fan and want him to return, but if it's time to move on, I'll be ready

Congratulations to Rodgers on his 4th MVP award. He now ranks second only to Peyton Manning in MVP awards.

Regrettably he has only one Lombardi trophy over his amazing career, proving that a great QB can't win it all by himself.

If Rodgers returns to the Packers for 2022 I will continue to enjoy watching him play however, the SF playoff game proves that the Packers need a new QB and it's time for the team to move on. Thanks, Since '61

Extend the man, he deserves to end his career in Green Bay.. it’s what is best for both parties…we can keep love as a backup for one more season then try to get a second or third round pick for him.. its clear that it was a mistake to use a first round pick on a qb when we have the League MVP on our roster with many good seasons left in him.. and I think The packers statements about their desire to extend Rodgers confirms this and also tells you what they think about love….we can draft and groom Rodgers replacement over the next couple of years.. love is way to inaccurate to be a quality NFL starter.. it’s very difficult to coach accuracy , you either have it or you don’t .. We should be hearing about a Rodgers contract extension within the next 3 weeks..

".. it’s very difficult to coach accuracy , you either have it or you don’t .."

Tell that to Buffalo's Josh Allen. 52.8% and 58.8% first two years. 69.2% and 63.3% next two years.

I think it's hilarious when "fans" decide what a player can and can't do after 6 quarters of playing time.

Wow, now we are comparing love to one of the league’s best…has love shown even a glimpse of this type of potential? The packers FO knows him best , they have watched him every day for 2 years and their statements on plans for the future should tell you all you need to know..

" love is way to inaccurate to be a quality NFL starter.."

Love had a 64% completion rate with 32 TDs and 6 INTs in 2018.
Then in 2019, with a new coaching staff and new receivers, he had a 62% completion rate.
I'm not sure where you're getting this "way too inaccurate" from.

Again, he's played a whopping 6 quarters of NFL football so far.
