We have 7:45 left in the NFC Champ game and the Saints are ahead by a TD .... who knows what will happen next. Favre ain't dead yet, but they did help him off the field, limping and he has finally thrown that dreaded INT - passing Jim Kelly all time in the Playoffs.

It ain't over yet.

Pack66, I _AM_ a faggot and damned proud of it, too. Stop being a douche bag homophobe. Go and stew wherever the loser Vikings fans hang out. Favre stabbed Packers' fans everywhere in the back and tonight got poetic justice. I will sleep happy. GO PACK GO!!!!!!

Well, as happy I am that Favre will not be tasting his practically guaranteed SB victory with the Vikes (That IS why he left GB and went took the long, winding road to Minnesota, isn't it?), I'm even happier that the Vikings yet again let it slip away from them.
.
Just. Freakin'. Perfect!

Favre failed on two levels:
1) How many times over the course of the season do you see veteran QB's step out of the huddle when there's too many men in the huddle to avoid a costly mistake, he failed to do so. Leading to...

2) Being forced to run a play to pick up yardage for the field goal. He could have easily picked up the penalty yardage by running 5 yds but threw accross his body into coverage.

Fail and Fail.....

HEY, STUPID,

The Packers have EEEELEVEN CHAMPIONSHIPS without Brent! That alone is still 2 more than any other franchise, Superowl 31 just increased our lead!

FYI - Pack 66 on CHTV is Jeremyuhs Jockstrap on Packerslounge! You can change your ID, but you can't hide... SCRUUUUB! AAAAHAHA

That was a pretty mediocre looking Saints team today. I couldn't help but say to myself on 3 or 4 of those third down plays "Rodgers would have converted that."

Pack66 has been posting here for how long trying to pose as a disgruntled Packer fan... Now he chooses to blow the lid of his lame scheme to show that he was just a poser trying to disrupt this great blog...

Eat shit Pack66 & you better hope Bert comes back, but even if he does... Do you really think he can duplicate this year? You also better hope that Tavaris or Sage progressed this year, because if they didn't... Yea the Packers will reclaim their crown...

Favre and the Queens had a winning season and the Packers have been rewarded because of it. The reward was Zigy Wilf signing up Chilly to a contract extension. I think this guy is a terrible coach, he wins because of the talent he has. When will the chants of "fire Chilly" start???

This.... Is...... BEAUTIFUL! How could it possibly end any better. I mean, the perfect irony of the interception to throw away back-to-back championships. It's like a carbon copy of the game that the reason he spent two more rough years in the league. And it was all for nothing. Now the Vikes can enjoy what we've been suffering through every offseason for the last five years, and all the while, we'll be sittin here with the perfect QB of the future. This is so great!

I would have liked to have beaten the Vikings at least once this year, but I have to say that I think there are a lot of good things as a result of this season.

1) Favre once again made enough mistakes to doom his teammates. Like the NFC Championship two years ago or the 4th and 26th game before that he wasn't alone in screwing up, but he provided the dagger. It lends credence to the idea that he can't win the big game which was one rumored reason why the Packers were willing to go with Rodgers over him. If so, it seems to validate the Packers reasoning, even if they didn't handle the situation perfectly.

2) Childress got a contract extension. He is not a very good coach and this year he managed to succeed largely due the sheer talent on the team and Favre's experience rather than because of his coaching ability. Given how badly he's screwed up the QB situation there and the bad precedent he set with his fawning over Favre, his being in MN is likely a positive for GB.

3) Because the Vikes made it to the NFCC they are pretty severely limited in their ability to take advantage of free agents if there is no new CBA.

What a great game! (I posted above it was going to be to close to call and it did not disappoint). The Saints did what was needed, like with Warner, they made Favre look like he'd been in a street fight. Even though Vikes surprisingly dominated the Saints on paper no one wins with 5 turnovers.
---
And I know everyone wants to have their fun & joy with the last Favre INT (and that's fine, that's football) ... But I have no problem applauding Favre for a great season and being the key to keeping the Vikes in the game with several must scores as the underdogs (he even took down a couple more Montana records).
---
His last pass certainly wasn't successful but c'mon, he really didn't turn the ball over for a gaming winning score that cost the game or even put the Saints in a scoring position (like his mistake in 07 or ours in OT with Cards) .... without the extra yardage, the Vikes said they would not have tried a 57 yrd FG and risk losing game on a botched kick or field position. And beat up Favre attempting a run on an injured ankle? please ... if that was the plan, give it to a RB. Without an extra 10-15 yards OT was the only option. Saints knew that and covered for it well. And the Vikes D lost some huge key plays and close decisions in OT that gave the winning kick to the Saints and kept the 400+ yrd Vikes out of the game (that dropped tipped pass in OT is going to haunt them).
---
Anyway, Congrats go to the Saints for their first trip to the SB. I wish them the best and hope they win, but they will need to play better than last night if they expect to beat Peyton (doubt if they give up 5 turnovers!).
----
So NOW, maybe Favre will retire, and TT/MM will fix our OL, secondary and related problems so that, we too can win a divisional title, playoff game, Conference or even SB!! That will be 'real' fun & joy again (IMO).
-----
cheers

Relief is my feeling, too. It's like the clouds have broken over the Pack. Freedom. Much work ahead in the off season for management, coaches and players. It's going to be a tough season.
