Steelers LB James Harrison Fined $20,000

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison has been fined $20,000 by the National Football League for a late hit on New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, reports Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

"The hit on Drew Brees was not to the head and he didn't bury him or anything," Harrison's agent, Bill Parise, tells Bouchette. "I don't think they know what they're doing and everyone's paying the price for it."

Harrison was flagged for roughing the passer on the play in question, and has now been fined $95,000 by the NFL for hits over the last three weeks.

Harrison had a "semi-productive" meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday.

As like with certain QBs getting the favorable calls,Harrison is also favored by the refs to toss flags and the NFL helping him to keep his checkbook in hand.

Regrettfully for Harrison and the Steelers it may end up costing them important games.

A suspension will hurt and make others gun shy.
