Sims Takes Swipe at Seattle's 12th Man
By admin
Detroit Lions guard Rob Sims took an indirect swipe at the city of Seattle and the "12th man" during his introduction to the Detroit-area media at the Lions' Allen Park, Michigan headquarters.
"This is a football town," Sims said on Tuesday, according to John Niyo of the Detroit News. "Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Detroit. I mean, that's football. Football and cars. This is more of what I'm accustomed to. Out there (in Seattle) the stars are Bill Gates and Paul Allen and the people that run Boeing. This here is what being in the NFL is supposed to be about, (standing) up here at the mic talking to reporters and stuff. In Seattle, it's not like that. It's drinking coffee, sittin' down and chit-chatting. This is a change, but it's a change that I've been looking forward to."
What? No rain references?

Yeah, that was a smart move. Because, clearly, Sims is so talented that he'll never, regardless of what happens, have to depend on the Seahawks, or have to live in Seattle.
What a dumbass...

Seattle's "12 Fan" is a joke. I should know. I live here. This is so not a sports town. But I have to admit the coffee is incredible.
