Seahawks Release QB J.P. Losman

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Seattle Seahawks have released quarterback J.P. Losman.

The Seahawks signed Losman to a two-year contract on May 19, but the former first-round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2004 struggled this pre-season, completing 6-of-14 passes for 16 yards and a 20.5 passer rating in three quarters' worth of action.

Seattle may enter the regular season with just two quarterbacks on their 53-man roster, and may pursue Patrick Ramsey to be the #3 behind Matt Hasselbeck and Charlie Whitehurst.
