Bills Sign 6th Round LB Danny Batten

The Buffalo Bills announced the signing of sixth-round linebacker Danny Batten.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but Batten's four-year deal is likely worth around $1.89 million dollars.

Danny Batten, a 6-3, 250-pound linebacker from South Dakota State University, was chosen with the 192nd overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.

A four-year starter for the Jackrabbits, Batten finished his career with 273 total tackles, including 52.5 for a loss and 23 quarterback sacks. He finished 3rd in Buck Buchanan Award voting, given annually to the top defensive player in Division I Football Championship Subdivision, and was named to the AP's FCS All-American second-team.

Batten has been working at inside linebacker in the Bills' new 3-4 defense, and is the second of the club's nine draft choices to sign a contract, joining fifth-round offensive tackle Ed Wang, who signed last Thursday.
