Watson was essentially a given though this Packers coaching staff and administration keep the fans in the dark a lot more than previous regimes. As a fan, we should complain about this a lot!!!

Tonyan .... I always figured he would be back and couldn't understand people who thought he'd be on PUP at the beginning of the season and miss a full 6 games. Yes, it's a serious injury, see Bakhtiari), but most of us know this was not the norm with this injury.

Jenkins = HUGE surprise! I'm blown away, he was injured on November 21 for crying out loud! Ok, let's say he doesn't start or play in the first 2 games and then he does play. That would be September 25th, just a shade over 10 months, wow!

Good news, good news, and good news. A triple shot of offense. Excellent. Watson and Tonyan were kind of expected, but Jenkins is a surprise.

I thought our line played fairly well in the scrimmage with SF, so adding Jenkins is like ice cream after a good meal on a hot day.

He’s eligible to practice and I would put him at RT. I’d leave Nijman where he is, and have Runyan, Myers, and Newman inside. That’s a good line to start the season with. These guys could push puny purple people around. Start the season by crushing them in their own crib.

Jenkins back by mid-October would be pushing it, maybe he's a fast healer? His injury looked like a tweak when he went down, hope for the best.

Well, these guys can practice now, and they count on the roster, so I’m not seeing the advantage of activating guys who wont be able to play. You can rotate in Tonyan and Watson, that’s not a problem.

If Jenkins is available, he’d be my RT . I’d leave Nijman where he is and line up Runyan, Myers, and Newman inside. That’s a good line.

I understand the Jenkins at RT argument but 2 things

1) Jenkins is a very good Tackle. But he is an ELITE guard, an All pro level guard. I think you let him ball out at guard, his natural position.

2) Tom is an athlete. He is the future RT. Let him play there, there will be growing pains but he has been damn damn good thus far.

Nijman-JRJ-Meyers-Jenkins-Tom is a very solid group. Bahk would make it a great group....don't see him back.

Bure, tackles are more valuable than guards. Centers are more valuable than guards. RG is the least important spot on the offensive line.

As far as the future, right now the future is the opener. People get hurt all the time.

I hope these guys like Tom, Rhyan, Van Lanen, and Jones are studs. And I hope none of them play very much.

As regards Bakhtiari, it’s getting harder for me to remain an optimist. I wouldn’t have re signed him, but this is approaching worst case scenario, where we paid a lot of money for very little production..

Tackles are undeniably paid more than guards. But looking at both run blocking and pass blocking....Jenkins does both at an elite level at guard. He is not a guy with a crazy good kick slide. He plays well at tackle but he is not a tackle. Why not just own the line of scrimmage with a guy you can always run behind?

Sporttrac predicts his market value is something like 4 yr and $55M. This last offseason, contracts went crazy, but I think something like 4/$55M would be a pretty good deal for the Packers if they can get it.

$13.75M AAV is a pipe dream now, if he is healthy and returns to form.

Ease them back. I am glad they are off PUP but want to make sure there are no Bahk type setbacks.

Can't wait till Watson is full go. Watched him warm up before the 49er game and he didn't look limited at all, he ran and cut hard.

After Davis crapped the bed in that last game, getting Tonyan back soon is a welcome development.

As for Jenkins, I don't want to see him at LT anymore. Just let Yosh hold it down until Bahk is back. RT or RG and let him settle in at 1 spot.

Good. It’s obviously good to have Tonyan and Jenkins working on game readiness. It’s extremely important for Watson to start getting practice reps if he’s going to do anything meaningful. There should be time for him to get in a game and some full speed work in a week or two.

For injured reserve, teams are permitted to return eight players from the IR list or reserve/non-football injury/illness list in 2022, per NFL Media. Last year, it was unlimited. Additionally, a player may be designated to return a maximum of two times in one season, with each return counting against the franchise's grand total of eight. A player designated to return is eligible to return to practice or the active/inactive list after four games have elapsed since he was placed on the reserve list.

This is great news! The guy I'm most excited for, on this list, is Elgton Jenkins. I love Tonyan and Watson will be a favorite of mine, but Elgton being closer to returning to the OL, is really welcome news, to me and to the OL coaches. GO PACK, GO!!!
