The good: It's a nice "W"
The bad: couldn't see the game (yet, will watch on NFL rewind) in my (Tucson) area
The Ugly: Hated to hear about misc. injuries to the Packers

The Good: The balanced offense. We probably should have put up 40.

The Bad: How the refs called Stokes for a marginal PI penalty meanwhile Gary was getting absolutely mugged.

The Ugly: Picking up the flag on the Rodgers trip by TJ Watt.

I hate that this is the second week in a row where my mind is spent almost as much on the reffing as the players. I realize the game is fast, but it really does have a sketchy feel at times.

Kinda spot on Cobb other than deflecting pass to Adams was good. Rodgers was great at times very average at times and couple that got away. And the injuries are mounting.
Being from Boston (not Brady fan by any means) wondering with the Pack inside LB's being hurt (again) why is Gute NOT looking at Jamie Collins he was really good for Belicheck's defense believe he is an inside backer. Sorry Burks and Summers just not doing for me. Reach out sure he would love to play for winner

Again tackling was terrible, Clark had some nice ones, N Harris looked like Csonka shredding the first tacklers and carrying guys extra 4-5 yards. BTW King looked good on sideline sorry Kev think the Jags or Lions maybe in your future. Body by Fischer heart by Mattel.

Much as I dislike seeing Burks out there, Collins was paid off by Detroit. He did not look at all good there.

Good😎. At the quarter pole, we’re 3-1 and in first place.

Bad☹️ The injuries are starting to add up. We’re missing multiple starters on both sides of the ball. Both starting corners are out. Savage got shook up.
Z is out. Barnes is out.

Ugly🤓. Not much. This is a good team, if it can stay healthy.

The Good: A big W, Cobb, OL, our punter, I'm a Packer fan.
The Bad: certain parts of our special teams, more injuries, run the ball more when putting the game away 12.
The Ugly: Watt's trip technique needs work, having to watch The Return ( Tom meets Bill again) commercials all week.

Good: Getting to watch the entire first quarter without one commercial break.
Bad: Defense once again starts the game off putting the Offense in a hole.
Ugly: Bad officiating again….

Good: The Packers O-line.
Bad: The Steelers O-line.
Ugly: The CBS announcers constantly telling us the Pittsburgh O-line wasn't very good and hadn't jelled yet because they were starting two rookies. And never mentioning that the Packer O-line was starting two rookies, a second year 6th round draft choice and a third year UDFA (and were missing two all-pro starters) and played very well against a very good Pittsburgh front seven. Sheesh....... You would think a little shout out to the Packer coaching staff for getting our very young O-line so well prepared might have been appropriate.

I'll second that, Guam. They did mention (once) that the Packers started a rookie center, but as you say, no real appreciation of what is happening on the rest of the line.

They COULD have said the Packers were missing three pro-bowl quality O line players from last year (Linsley, Jenkins, Bakhtiari) .......................but they didn't.

Excellent point about missing Linsley as well Turophile. What Gute, LaFleur and Stenovich have done with the O-line is nothing short of spectacular.

the good - The o line depth on this team is insane

the ugly- hoping Jaire is not serious this would be like losing rodgers on offense everything changes he can't be replaced

The good: aggressive defense despite all of the injuries. Stokes really seems to be coming along. And DID ANYONE SEE HIM PICK THE BALL OFF WHILE LOOKING AT THE GROUND??? THAT, WAS PRETTY COOL.

The bad: offensive miscues that really could've hurt had they been playing a more competent team.

The ugly: injuries and the return teams. When are they going to learn that not kicking the ball out of the endzone is 95% less effective than routinely forcing touchbacks?

Conclusion: this team is almost there and if not for all of the injuries, they could easily be one of the best teams in the NFL by now. Still a great team, but they need to put it together for 4 quarters.

The good, a punt downed inside the 5 or a 57 yarder from our own endzone. Just not sure which one makes me tingle more.
The bad. Reading headlines about the Steelers and then playing like you had the W before the game started. It seemed to me the GB kind played down to the level of competition in this game.
The Ugly. A Badger tripping a Packer and getting away with it. It sure looks alot like the officiating is in place to keep these games close.

Rodgers was borderline the bad in this one. He had a good collection of misses that could have ended this many times. He even skimmed one off of someone's helmet at the line of scrimmage on an open receiver 3rd down play.

But enough good to make this one comfortable and go 3 - 1 with 4 of the next 5 on the road.

Rodgers was getting hit all day. That and the continuous stream of miscues was starting to get to him. Even on that last one to Adams that was attempted by Cobb. What are the chances of that happening?

He did have some getting hit as he threw it ones I am not including. But the miss to Adams at the sideline was late and wide, he way underthrew an obvious TD to Tonyan, was way behind a cutting receiver who might have run it a long way, and skimmed one of his own lineman's head on a third down. He was a touch off, good to see they can still win anyway without him throwing in lasers past a defender's earhole.

Love Cobb. Loved the game he played. Loved all the 3rd down catches and TD's...

With that said I'd say Cobb was in the wrong place, not Adams. Not knocking Cobby, been here 4 weeks and that's bound to happen, even to a Pro's Pro like Randall Cobb.

I'm putting that play in the O-Shit category. Plus, I'm 99.999% sure that WON'T happen again.

The Good...

Cobb...Not only did Randall score some much needed TD's but he made either three or four 3rd down conversions. I listened to several podcasts this past suggesting Cobb would get MVS's share of targets. Not his routes, his TARGETS. Between the 1st downs in week two and the 1st downs and TD's this week, he's PAID for his salary and the little draft pick they gave up.

The O-Line...I don't want to hear excuses from Steelers fans TJ Watt wasn't 100%. Big Yosh shut his ass down for the most part except for a HORRIBLE tripping call and WASN'T called. They called the one on Amos and not the one on Watt? What a bunch of BS.

Dillon... Wow... Now that was a way to close out a game. To bad Rodgers can't help himself from changing plays. Just give the ball to AJ... PLEASE!

3-1 after that week one start.

The Bad...

The injuries... I never thought I'd say it but the Packers will NEED Alexander next week or at least several guys to step up against the Bengals, a game I'll be at.

The Ugly...Hate to sound like everyone else but the officials have been horrendous. The tripping on Watt. The OBVIOUS hold on Gary on the same play Stokes got flagged for a BS PI.

That penalty was a game-decider, in that the end score (all plays being the same) would've been 24-24. Of course, all plays would NOT have been the same, but who know if we still win?

Wasn’t the trip just as potentially decisive? Until I’ve seen a side line view I have little to no idea on the timing of the snap, but it looked to me like one of the Steelers was lined up offside from the timing of the flag.

Ugly: Drayton. Outside of punter and kicker, STs are a liability just as much as they were under his predecessors.

Elevate Kaufusi and leave EQ on the PS. I’d rather see Taylor get snaps on O and rather take Tonyan off the protection group.

The Good: Rashan Gary jumping over offensive tackle and grabbing Big Ben for a sack!

The Bad: Shoulda Woulda Coulda of missed potential passes by ARod that woulda Blown out the Steelers!

The Ugly: Use replay and get the calls right! Old men officiating a young mans game—just terrible!

The Good: OL, AJ Dillon, A. Jones, Cobb, Aaron Rodgers, Kenny Clark, Rashon Gary, Stokes, Bojorquez, Campbell

The Bad: Oren Burks, Sumner, ESB, and Deguara. Deguara did not look assignment sure at all.

The Ugly: Officiating again. Ticky tack call on Stokes and terrible pick up the flag non-call on Watt tripping Rodgers. Injuries, especially Alexander.

BTW, the play call on the 4th qtr pass from Tonyan came in from MLF. It was not changed by Rodgers. It was a keep the foot on the gas and go for the dagger play call. It just didn't succeed. Had it done so no one would be accusing Rodgers of changing the play. When you know that your defense is playing well you can take those type. of shots to put the game away. The fact is that the Steelers never threatened in this game after their opening drive. Yes, Roth was off but our defense stuffed their ground game and kept pressure on Roth for the entire game. No one posts that Rodgers changed the play call on the third down sideline pass to Adams that closed out the game after the Steelers late TD. Interesting that when plays work it doesn't matter if the play was changed or not but when it doesn't work it must be because Rodgers changed the play. As I've posted before, "Amateurs focus on the play calls, professionals focus on execution", Mike Holmgren. GPG! Thanks Since '61

The Good: Cobb is back! Our running game is solid. Our O Line did alright, for the most part. Our D Line played very well, although against a weak Steeler O Line.
The Bad: A chippy penalty called on Stokes; Screwed up tripping/non tripping call on Watt. He locked his leg and was definitely trying to trip up Rodgers, which he did. Our LB crew needs some work. Easy to see that we miss Barnes.
The Ugly: NFL rules had Packers fans in western Wisconsin missing the entire first quarter of this game due to the Titans and Jets game going into OT. And that game wasn't even supposed to be televised in our area. This is the second time, in four games, that Packer fans in western Wisconsin had to miss the first quarter of the Packers' game due to another game going into OT. Next week, we won't get to see the Packers-Bengals game, at all, unless we go to a bar or buy a satellite dish, due to the vikings' game being televised at the same time. This is the first of 6 Packers' games we will miss because of television conflicts, this season, and we live in Wisconsin!. Fix this, Goodell!
