The good- We won.
The bad- Lack of a running game I heard.
The ugly- I wasn't able to watch it since no local airing.

Good: We won a game we should have won. Nothing else can be taken away, though it's nice to have J. Williams as an option when A. Jones isn't working. And Allison had a couple of important catches.

Ugly: We actually GAINED three yards on a punt return! Whoa!

Bad: MLF is starting to remind me of a slimmed-down version of McCarthy with his play-calling: dull, predictable, and devoid of any imagination or element of surprise. Also, the goal line offense--need to go forward, not 16 yards backward!

How about a little up tempo once in a while. Let us dictate who's on the field defensively.

Actually they did some up tempo with #12 calling plays in the first half. It worked well. Should have stayed with it.

The Good -- Getting some turnovers on a QB that will give them up. Without those turnovers we are looking at another uncomfortable game. The Tramon INT was pretty nice.

The Bad -- Robert Tonyan Man I really want this guy to succeed, but he had himself a game that will not get him any playing time.

The Ugly -- Snapping the ball with no time on the play clock almost every play. This absolutely drives me insane. I get it when you are playing with a huge lead and the clock is your opponent's worst enemy, but I swear if we could have the D guessing when that ball is going to be snapped we probably get this offense firing better than they are.

Edit to add an honorable mention to "Big Dog". What a great effort by Aaron and a great catch by Marcedes Lewis.

Whats crazy to me is that both 12 and MLF talk about needing to stop the last second snaps. It's not like they're indifferent to it, they're just failing at it. Baffling.

MLF is not getting the plays in fast enough. By the time the Packers get to the LOS and go in motion and set the play clock has run down. This is why Rodgers is using TOs. Also there are times when Rodgers needs to reset the formation because players are in the wrong spot.

As I have posted for a few years here, let Rodgers call the plays or have the OC call the plays and much of this can be avoided. For some reason we need to have an HC who finds it necessary to insert himself into the process. Mike Holmgren called the plays when he was our HC but he knew what he was doing and how to get it done. But since then MM and MLF (so far) have issues getting the plays in. Thanks, Since '61

Wow - you got them all exactly right!
I would have bet that you would have given the Packers a pass due to the conditions. It was an ugly offense to watch.

Without the 3 INTs, the D would have had to have been in the Ugly column too. But 2 of those were right to the defender so you can't give them too much credit for them anyways. They have to start pressing and playing tighter man coverage. As you pointed out early in the game when they gave an 8 yd cushion allowing NY to pick up an easy 5 yards for the first down.

Losing confidence in Pettine after a promising last year and start this year. What happened to him?

There have been PLENTY of easy dropped interceptions this season. They did their jobs today. They could've had 3 or 4 more if they had other defenders in perfect position, but 3 interceptions we have. It was a good defensive effort aside from the 4th down grievances and the tight end coverage.

We've held half of our opponents to 17 or less. Only two teams have hit 30 against us. We're a lot better on defense than last year. Last year, 9 teams reached 29 or more against us. We held two to 17 or less.

I would have liked a few more 3 rd down stops but maybe the footing was slowing down the Packers rush , they came close to sacking Jones several more times but maybe the field conditions played a role.

A few *more*, the Packers defense only forced one punt all day long. The INTs are great but the Packers don't get to face Daniel Jones every week. When was the last time the defense forced a three and out? September?

The Good: Jamaal Williams, Lazard, Aaron Rodgers, Z. Smith and JK Scott. DBs holding on to their picks. +3 turnovers!!!
No sacks on Rodgers.

The Bad: 4th down defense and whatever zone defense Pettine has been using for a while now. Poor tackling continues.
Poor OL execution in the run game. Tonyan.

The Ugly: Dropped passes. Unnecessary penalties.

Honorable mention: Bulaga gutting out the game with an injury

on both throws to MVS ball was heavily under thrown and thank God it wasn't interceptions...

Aaron can not put the right ball to MVS. They should practice together every day at least 2 hours additionally...

Since MVS only played 17 snaps IIRC, he must have been open on the bench for much of the game. His route running is not very good and he doesn't adjust well to where the ball is thrown. The pass in the end zone was a back shoulder throw. The proper adjustment results in a TD. MVS' footwork is a mess.

Being a wide receiver is more than just about running around. This is why you hear about the trust factor with Rodgers. He knows that Adams and maybe now Lazard can can make adjustments once the ball is thrown. He knows they are going to be in the right spots.

The long pass to Vitale is a good example. If Vitale keeps running on that play and puts his hands up he has a catch at least and maybe a TD. However, he stopped on the route and just waved his hand at the pass. A long time ago we were coached that you never stop, never give up on the route. In fairness to Vitale there may have been a holding or PI call on the defender but it looked like he stopped to me. In any case the official did not make a call. Never stop on the route. Thanks, Since '61

The good: Aaron Rodgers being Superman

The bad: Aaron Rodgers being Aaron Rodgers looking for the home run ball again, luckily it ended in a few PI calls because Adams was getting mugged all night.

The ugly: No defense for tight ends whatsoever. Every single week we get shredded by them. Today it was....... Kayden Smith? Who? He played a good game, but my word we need to find a solution. This has gotten really out of hand.

6 catches for 70 something yards from a practice squad tight end is unacceptable. That is the equivalent of getting shredded. If Evan Ingram was playing he would've caught 10 balls for 120 and a TD.

Bad- Turnovers covering up a lot of issues with the def. Tackling, covering, 3rd down D. If I never again see a 3 man rush I will not be sad.

Just saying there are higher percentage paid on 3rd and short. And Green Bay historically fails converting 4th and 3rd and short. Of course I enjoyed the TD on 3rd down! But a possibly more consistent play would be a short pass to a TE or full back run.... And I am sure that 56 yarder was when more than 2yds were needed to convert

Oh yeah - 1 more bad - AR underthrew MVS again!!!!!!!
Someone above complained MVS can't get open. He had a step but he had to slow down big time to try to catch the ball.
At this point, they might as well draw it up that way. Run full speed, put on the brakes and come in for the catch. But can't do that in the slop. This one is all on AR. Unless he can adjust, might as well trade MVS as we are wasting a player. Seems crazy that we have this great QB that can't make it work with the fastest WR.
Have they tried him out as a returner?

That's a good point assuming AR was trying to throw a back shoulder pass. I just don't think AR thinks of MVS as the next Jordy to even consider a back shoulder pass to him.
He has been underthrowing him all year. Ok, MVS messed up last week by not laying himself out. But there is plenty of more field to work with.

MVS has regressed so badly, he looks like it’s his 1st time playing receiver, can’t get his feet down on the sidelines, can’t adjust to the back shoulder throw, he rounds off his routes. Right now all the dude can do is run deep. I hope this is some sort of sophomore slump and he can get it together soon because the guy has all the tools.

THE GOOD: Za'Darious Smith displayed his relentless and dominant presence once more!
Allen Lazard continues to develop as a WR. Seems to have emerged as the No. 2 receiver while MVS disappears from view though still appears open on many occasions.
J.K. Scott redeems himself as a weapon!
Aaron Rodgers again demonstrates the magical gifts of a future HOF QB. Terrific throw to Lazard and brilliant toss to Davante Adams on free play.
Mason Crosby is now 14 of 15 on FG attempts and a perfect 31 of 31 on XPs.
The Packers are 9 - 3 with the Redskins up next.

THE BAD: Pitiful running game. Pettine's stubborn use of soft zone coverage.

THE UGLY: Disjointed offense. Yes Mr Nagler, you are bang on target! Matt LaFleur's promise of a post-modern NFL offense is nowhere in sight. The offense has zero cohesion, zero identity, and zero flow. And what are those ridiculous sideline throws - I charitably assume that some of them are third on Rodgers' progressions, although some looked as the main play called.
Where are the quick-hitting slants? Why not use no-huddle or hurry-up on more offensive series - they seem to work when Rodgers is running that kind of attack?
The running game....pfffftttt!

I too have wondered why we don’t have more quick hitting slants. I have a couple of guesses. One is that we no longer have Cobb. Another is that we don’t have ESB and Sheppard on the active roster. Next is that the team would rather have Adams on the perimeter. And finally Aaron doesn’t like to throw them.

Good: Win.
Bad: People said that only idiots repeating not working decisions again and again and again. People calling McCarthy for predictability in play calling? How you would call every first down with Aaron Jones on field run through middle of the line? Every single play... Matt, you are young, move on...
Ugly: Remember that hard, white hot stinger in one NFCCG overtime when WR juked Tramon Williams and put himself on inside and Tramon was left outside? And that Packers CB at full strength gave TD pass to that WR and actually finished the game? I thought Tramon Williams will learn from that experience. He did not. There was several catches on Williams where he gave opposite WR inside leverage and each and every time it was important or huge gain for the opponent. Experienced? Excellent? He, obviously did not learned basics...

Good-taking advantage of a young bad secondary, I'm sure that was the game plan. Long passing plays won the game. The Tramon int. ZZZZZZSmith, Lazzzzzard,Adams, AR,9-3.
Bad- The o-line play again, run blocking sucks.
Ugly-The NFCE. HTF did we lose to the Eagles?

Good: Run game. (WHAT!) Committing early inside forced the Giants secondary up to cover Jones and Williams early. Opened the middle were Rodgers was effective today. Return to basics in offensive scheme, don't overlook that.. Bad: Still taking to many shots. That's got to be on Rodgers on RPOs. Understand on field being glazed over, but moving the chains still is job 1... Ugly: Flackcatcher men on the couch. (My wife took pictures..... :-)

The Good: Its Victory Monday!

The Bad: Soft coverages.

The Ugly: Eli Manning... I get that there is probably some that think its a good idea to play Daniel Jones, but they really are sitting Eli for this? While there were some good moments, he threw 3 balls right to the defense. Well 2, but the one to Tramon was not a great throw.

The Good: Ugly win over a really bad team

The Bad: The Giants were still in it with 4 minutes left in the third quarter

The Ugly: McCarthy-esqe play calling, snapping the ball with a Red 0 on the clock, 30 yard bombs on 3rd and 2, constant 10 yard cushion allowed by DBs and complete disregard for opposing tight ends.
All very predictable, and it's getting old, maybe the Packers need two new coordinators?

Hats off to Mason Crosby, life can be really cruel some times and you've had more than your share this year.

A lot of people bashing the soft zone we played but I have played under those conditions and it’s very tough to effectively play man to man. With the field conditions as they were and the pressure we were putting on the QB, it was the correct call in my opinion. Our defense is built to play man but sometimes field conditions dictate otherwise. Sorry if my facts ruin your arm chair QB Pettine bashing

IMO-The Good-This is one of those games like 2018-AZ, 2016-Indy, 2015- Det & Buf, 2014 NYG that in the past the team would have shyte the bed. They didn't. The Bad- The Packers are 9-3 and a large contingency of fans? can't come to grips with this is a 1st yr coach and 2nd yr GM. Growing pains people. The Ugly- the unrealistic expectations. Past history in this league shows it takes 2-4 years to build/rebuild especially with a new coach and GM.

Good: Three INTs! Mason Crosby kicking FGs and PATs in these conditions. Allen Lazard looking like he wants to be our #1 WR. GMO made some nice catches. Jamaal Williams reviving the Eddy Lacy Freight Train! All aboard! Marcedes gets his first TD this season! Bulaga gutting it out. Z Smith, Kenny Clark being studs pressuring the QB.

Bad: It snowed for only part of the game. Gary's name called because he got injured. Allowing Saquon Barkley to get some rhythm running the ball.

Ugly: Getting away from our quick paced offense.
