Ten Propositions for the 2022 Season

How would you play them?

Happy 4th of July!  On this holiday, I am thankful to live in the greatest country in the world.  And I am humbly appreciative of the sacrifices that were made to make it so. Our nation is not perfect, but together we can overcome any challenge.  God bless America!

Back to football. During this dead spot in the Packers’ offseason, I thought it might be fun to throw some over/unders out there.  It’s the time of year when optimism is always high, and visions of Lombardi trophies whirl in our heads.  Just what are your expectations?  For the next few minutes, pretend you’re a high stakes bettor, and see how you would play some of the propositions below.  I’d be interested to read your comments.

Over/Under:  (12) Twelve regular season wins for the Green Bay Packers in the 2022 season.

Over/Under:  (40)  Forty touchdown passes for Aaron Rodgers in the 2022 regular season.

Over/Under:  (999)  999 yards rushing for AJ Dillon in the 2022 regular season.

Over/Under:  (5)  Five games in which Jordan Love takes a snap from center for the Green Bay Packers during the 2022 regular season.

Over/Under:   (450)  450 receiving yards for Christian Watson in the 2022 regular season.

Over/Under:  (9)  Nine games in which Elgton Jenkins plays for the Packers during the 2022 regular season.

Over/Under:  (4)  Four interceptions by Jaire Alexander during the 2022 regular season.

Over/Under:  (8)  Eight field goal attempts Mason Crosby will miss during the 2022 regular season.

Over/Under:  (5)  Five quarterback sacks by rookie linebacker Quay Walker during the 2022 regular season.

Over/Under:  (2)  Two post season games the Packers will play following the 2022 regular season.

Thank you Ken. Growing up in a military family made me recognize how our freedoms are maintained.
Pretty much agree with Johnblood27 except for receiving yards for Christian Watson...under for that.
Happy 4th everyone and stay safe.

OVER--12 Regular season wins. I think we hit 14.
UNDER--40 TD passes for ARod. It's possible, but a lot of those TDs will be off runs.
UNDER-- 999 Rushing Yards for AJ Dillon. Dillon could get over 999, if Jones is injured.
UNDER-- 5 Regular Season games where Love starts a QB. Aaron Rodgers will remain healthy, all season long.
OVER-- 450 YDs receiving for Watson. Easy one! Even when splitting receptions with Watkins, Lazard, Amari, Doubs and Cobb.
OVER-- 9 regular season games for Jenkins. Thinking he'll be ready by week 5.
UNDER-- Regular season INTS by Jaire. Amos, Savage, Rasul and Stokes will get their share, as well. Foolish for QBs to oppose our DBs.
UNDER-- Crosby misses. New holder and LS. No excuses this season.
UNDER-- Quay Walker sacks. He'll compete with Preston, Gary, Clark and even Enagbare for sacks.
OVER-- At least 2 Post Season games played by THE PACKERS!! GO PACK, GO!!! EYES ON THE PRIZE, GUYS!!!

As to Jenkins, if GB puts him on the PUP list, he has to miss 6 games. They could move him to the active list and count him as one of the 53 at cut downs and then move him to IR, in which case he has to miss 4 games. Finally, GB could just put him on the 53 and play him when he is healthy enough.

Games 1-4: MN, CHI, TB, NE.
Games 5-8: NYG, NYJ, WA, Buff.

I don't know if the schedule will matter. It would be nice to have Jenkins ready for Buffalo, and putting him on PUP would allow him to play some against WA to get back in the swing of things, particularly if their are new players at some positions. OTOH, every year there are surprise teams, so I might be showing too much contempt for NYG and NYJ.

I'd still take the over, since it is set at 9 games as opposed to 4 games, meaning he can miss 7.

I’m going with 12 wins for now so that’s a push. At least until I see how the team looks at the end of the preseason.
Everything else is an under for me except the number of post season games. I’m taking the over on that one with 🤞. Everyone stay safe. Thanks, Since ‘61

Over/Under: (12) Twelve regular season wins for the Green Bay Packers in the 2022 season. Since I'm not a betting man, I'm not sure what you call it if the Packers win just 12 games...A PUSH?

Over/Under: (40) Forty touchdown passes for Aaron Rodgers in the 2022 regular season. I don't think Rodgers is really very close to 40 this season. He's only thrown for 40 TD's or more 3 times in his career and I think it's highly doubtful it happens this season...I'll say 32 TD's

Over/Under: (999) 999 yards rushing for AJ Dillon in the 2022 regular season. A.J. Dillon will be OVER 999 yards rushing this season. I think by week 12 or so.

Over/Under: (5) Five games in which Jordan Love takes a snap from center for the Green Bay Packers during the 2022 regular season. UNDER! Sorry Jordan.

Over/Under: (450) 450 receiving yards for Christian Watson in the 2022 regular season. OVER...Closer to 750 or 800 yards.

Over/Under: (9) Nine games in which Elgton Jenkins plays for the Packers during the 2022 regular season... OVER...Jenkins is playing week 4 or 5.

Over/Under: (4) Four interceptions by Jaire Alexander during the 2022 regular season... OVER... The year of Jarie Alexander as the BEST CB in football starts in 2022. He'll have 6

Over/Under: (8) Eight field goal attempts Mason Crosby will miss during the 2022 regular season....UNDER....WAAAAY under for Mason. Crosby FINALLY, for the FIRST time, a legitimate ST coach and they've brought over Pat O'Donnell too.

Over/Under: (5) Five quarterback sacks by rookie linebacker Quay Walker during the 2022 regular season... I'll call it a PUSH, but I think he has AT LEAST 5 sacks.

Over/Under: (2) Two post season games the Packers will play following the 2022 regular season. OVER... The Packers are playing in 4. They'll be the 2nd seed and the SB winner!!!

Then again, what would you expect from a Homer Extraordinaire?

If I’m putting money on one of these prop bets, I’m all in on the OVER for season wins.

First 20-0 team in NFL history, baby. Book it.

Over/Under: (12) Twelve regular season wins -- UNDER (11 wins...difficult schedule, offense needs time to grow)
Over/Under: (40) Forty touchdown passes for Aaron Rodgers in the 2022 regular season. -- UNDER (hard to say with 17 games, but he should be close to 40)
Over/Under: (999) 999 yards rushing for AJ Dillon in the 2022 regular season. -- UNDER (assuming AJones stays healthy)
Over/Under: (5) Five games in which Jordan Love takes a snap from center -- UNDER (if we hit the over, that's likely a bad sign for the Packers)
Over/Under: (450) 450 receiving yards for Christian Watson -- OVER (expecting about 40-600-5)
Over/Under: (9) Nine games in which Elgton Jenkins plays -- OVER (even on PUP, missing the first 8 is 9 games)
Over/Under: (4) Four interceptions by Jaire Alexander -- UNDER (how much will teams throw at him? Alligator arms Alexander)
Over/Under: (8) Eight field goal attempts Mason Crosby will miss -- UNDER (I think this team will kick a lot of FGs, but 8 misses is quite a few)
Over/Under: (5) Five quarterback sacks by rookie linebacker Quay Walker -- UNDER (5 is a lot to ask for a rookie ILB who likely will sit when the Packers put extra DB on the field)
Over/Under: (2) Two post season games the Packers will play following the 2022 regular season. -- OVER (11 wins means they'll play opening weekend as a non-1-seed)

The first is an Under for two reasons.
1) The Law of Averages is due to bite MLF.
2) I don't see the pieces to win more than 10-11 with a chance for less.

The last is Under for two reasons.
1) This team won't get the #1 bye because of the first question's answers.
2) This team would need the #1 bye to get a two-game playoff, like last year's scenario to get into the SB, not an extra one, and no, this team will not win from the Wildcard spot, which would at best ensure a push with two.

OK, do your mandatory deeds.

The law of averages has to have all things being equal. The universe is not random.

These are all realistic. Let's see where the health of this team is at the end of camp. I am thinking 11-6 due to a rough start and like a 3 seed. I have a feeling this team will be better later in the season going into the playoffs than early.

Over on all. 20-0. The offense averages 30, while the D gives up an average of 6 points per game. Special teams goes from worst to first.
