Rodgers rips Finley, Jennings: 'At what point do you move on?'

Rodgers rips Finley, Jennings: 'At what point do you move on?'

-- Words weren't minced on Monday.

Aaron Rodgers had some choice statements for his former pass-catchers; words that were well-deserved and apparently needed to be spoken in an act of defense against the duo of Jermichael Finley and Greg Jennings.

Finley and Jennings have both gone on record of criticizing Rodgers' leadership abilities, using quantifiers such as "diva" and various other negatively-connotated descriptions.

"My first initial thought is, at what point did J-Mike think I was a bad leader? It couldn't have been when I was up in his room every Saturday night before the games going over plays and talking about checks I was going to make and plays where he was going to be the No. 1 read," Rodgers said on ESPN Milwaukee's "Wilde and Tausch" on Monday.

Finley played in Green Bay for six seasons after being drafted in the third round in 2008, eventually solidifying himself as one of Rodgers' most lethal targets during the high points of his career. Finley suffered a career-ending neck injury in 2013.

"It couldn't have been when I was at the hospital the night he broke his neck and spent a couple of hours with him," Rodgers continued. "It couldn't have been when I followed up and saw how he was doing. So when did this happen where he's like, 'Oh, man, he's not a natural-born leader.'"

Jennings, similar to Finley, has often been hot-and-cold in his public opinion of Rodgers. He was Rodgers' top receiving target during the early stages of his career and had his development streamlined as a result of playing his first two seasons with Brett Favre as his quarterback.

After the Packers chose not to re-sign Jennings in 2012, he played the next two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings of the NFC North.

"I don't even know what to say with Greg," Rodgers said. "It bothers me that every time there's an article, it's the same two people. And if it's not an article about me, do you ever hear their names anywhere else? Do you ever hear their names with people? Are they out here making comments, making the rounds on the shows? I would say probably not. Definitely not in the same capacity.

"At what point do you move on? You talk about me being sensitive and petty? At what point do you move on or stop telling the same stories?"

In the Bleacher Report feature last week, Jennings expressed his discomfort with a joke Rodgers made in a game against the San Francisco 49ers in 2012.

According to Jennings, Rodgers approached Jennings and 49ers cornerback Carlos Rogers and said, "You guys should get him at the end of the year," leaving Jennings, whose contract was expiring after the season, baffled. But while Rodgers never refuted this ever happening, he downplayed the severity of the situation.

"Like, really, a conversation with Carlos Rogers on the field making a joke about his situation, that's what you're going to hold onto? 'Oh, yeah, I knew I wasn't going to be a Packer the next season.'

"It's the same two people. It's the same story. At some point, you have to have something else to talk about."

The Packers returned to the facility on Monday for offseason workouts for the first time under new head coach Matt LaFleur.

Dunne is done! He’s also a chooch. We’re moving on. Go Pack Go! Thanks, Since ‘61

Point Packer's picture

Craig Lemmings and JermichaelMichaelMcMichaelsMikeyMike McFinley are also a couple of choochs (whatever that means). I've been waiting multiple years for Rodgers to just flat out slam them for being the two cable television A-Rodge antagonists that the talking heads always go to in order to fan the flames on Rodger's leadership style.

Whose corner would you rather be in? McFInley and Lemmings or Nelson, Adams, Kuhn, James Jones and Tramon, among others?

EddieLeeIvory's picture

I just want to get back to the Super Bowl.

Community Guy's picture

i want to read what else Rodgers said.. from this, it seems he is choosing to not take any responsibility for anything.. i want to see what else Rodgers said. leaders take responsibility.. they can inspire themselves and others to get better.

AsteronPackFan's picture

Take responsibility for what? A bunch of slander and lies? No need for that.

He outright says he wishes he hadn't said stuff after the Buffalo game last year. He admits it comes off as disrespectful. He also admits to the occasional clash with McCarthy.

croatpackfan's picture

Take responsibility for bad performance during the first half of the 2014 NFCCG, for example. I believe he throw interception during the first Packers possession. That must be MM mistake, no question about. I know he said how he thought referee throw the flag. Also not to mention how he was keeping the ball to long, rather than to go with check downs to establish rhythm on the offense.

And do not confuse this, what I just wrote, as justifying MM from his part of the responsibility. My main complaint on MM is that he did not knew how badly Sherman was injured. Team leader and play-caller have to know that kind of information.

That NFCCG was failure from both side. From time distance, today I say both, Aaron and Mike McCarthy was scared of Seahawks.

Packerpasty's picture

maybe take responsibility for saying "RELAX" and then leading the team on a winning streak?? Hmmmmm....lets nit pick a few bad performances and forget all the good...sounds like a plan...

croatpackfan's picture

No, you really missed my point. 2014 NFCCG was failure of many, not just MM and Aaron surely takes a part of blame for collaps. That's all I wanted to say.

porupack's picture

CroatPackfan;
This article wasn't about the NFCCG 2014 game. It was time to call out JFinley and GJennings; the guys who apparently are [oversensitive]. Just be clear what we're talking about. Anyone criticizing ARodgers can at least acknowledge Rodgers is correct in this article to call out those 2.

“When Aaron became ‘The Man,’ he was ‘The Man’, especially in his own eyes,” Gbaja-Biamila said. “Let’s just put it that way. Things just changed. … With everything that Brett (Favre) accomplished, you would think he’d be a little more arrogant, but he was actually more humble. And I felt that Aaron was a little bit more on the arrogant side.”

Here was Janis just a couple of months prior to the Dunne piece:

“I think positive reinforcement works a lot better than negative. It can tear you down and break a player. You take a really good player and just keep doing that stuff to them, he’s going to start being one of those guys you can’t count on because he’s feeling like he’s inconsistent and starting to get down on himself. It’s one of those things you can’t really change because (Rodgers) is the way he is.”

You want named sources? There's 2 more. I'm sure there are plenty more who won't speak.

Have any of the networks had Tyler Dunne on about this?

ESPN, NFL Network or Fox Sports?

Skip greenBayless's picture

Pretty sure he's out looking for a bigger house, a better car and possibly a prettier wife/girlfriend. This guy has hit the jackpot with his breaking story on Rodgers. All that was required was being honest and little effort interviewing people. Star status comes all the perks of a major celebrity and Dunne is not done, he's just beginning. Probably wearing sunglasses at night. Is there a bigger star in sports journalism today than the great Tyler Dunne? I don't think so.

Who am I? I'm the future. Once again I hit it out of the park. Just yesterday I said Aaron Rodgers is going to be unhappier than last year. Wow, talk about a hit. Less than 24 hours later he's lashing out in a verbal tirade against two former players over some harmless comments that he can't let go of from the past. This was day one. No football talk from Rodgers it's all about blaming other people and pointing the fingers away from him. Nothing has changed. Rodgers is one unhappy player wow. Tyler Dunne is currently hiding under a rock for his smear job and "unnamed" sources...and right beside him, JMF and the infamous grudge holder Jennings..

LambeauPlain's picture

When thought to be a fool, don't open your mouth or pound your keyboard and remove all doubt.

Dunne is done. Over half his fiction writing was based on unnamed sources. That is far from good reporting...that is lazy, sloppy reporting.

And even him unnamed sources had zero collaboration. That is an F in journalism 101.

Dzehren's picture

This is what doesn’t add up in Dunne’s story- - if A-Rod hated MM and GB so much & was so miserable, why would he sign a brand new long term contract last year? Doesn’t hold much water.

John Kirk's picture

Sorry, I had to pop in to give you some strong possibilities as to why.

It's funny he, himself, brought this up with WIlde and Tausch. Now, he has others asking that question. It appears to be coming from a place of logic but I'll bet it comes from a place of fear.

Rodgers knows he's one game over .500 over the last 4 years and is becoming more and more likely to get injured with each passing year.

The Packers controlled his rights for two more seasons and then could've just tagged him a couple of times and then his career is over WITHOUT ANY GUARANTEED MONEY.

This is a very simple concept. Rodgers no longer believes he's the same player and STOLE money from this organization while the getting was good. I have no issue with those who say he's earned it for PAST performance, but he sure isn't for recent past performance nor is he likely for future. He was the highest paid player in the NFL last season. Was he anywhere near the best player or even close to the best QB? Nope.

Also, minus the guaranteed money it was about CONTROL. He couldn't go anywhere for 4 more seasons. Taking a BOATLOAD of the Packers money and tying their hands so the team can't improve benefits who? The Packers or Rodgers? It is not BOTH. Brady would NEVER take a contract like that one at this stage of the game. He would want his TEAM to be better. Aaron's a selfish me-first guy...but he's about quality of life not money. Just not about quality of the team. He knows he's not ever coming close to being Brady and gave up on that and went all out for the dirty green despite his protestations to the contrary.

The master manipulator ROBBED the foolish Packers and has his adoring fans believing his question was actually valid. He later said he wasn't about the money but rather quality of life. L M A O. Riiiiiiiiiiiiight. That's why he hates his family and conducts himself like a dick because he's all about quality of life and not money. This guy truly is a fraud of the highest order. An extremely unlikable character much like Brett at the end.

Packers know this fan base doesn't see clearly so wrecking the team with the huge nonsensical unnecessary contract will placate this fanbase. It's already proven it doesn't care about anything but making the playoffs and losing. Firing MM and hiring a rookie HC buys a honeymoon period. When this team is 6-10 next season you will buy it's just the result of massive change that the Packers aren't used to going through. By the time you figure out what actually happened here it'll be over. Nobody holds them to a higher standard, not the media and not the fans and surely not themselves.

What doesn't add up is why the Packer base keeps asking the questions it's asking and buying what's being sold ALL THE TIME. Understand the nature of PR.

Did you read Rodgers go on his fake love soliloquy for McCarthy? Even the most duped among us knows Rodgers doesn't "love" Mike McCarthy. He doesn't even love his brothers or mom and dad.

That interview may as well have been given by Baghdad Bob for all the ridiculousness it contained. But...Aaron knows YOU will BUY IT hook, line and sinker.

Mission accomplished.

holmesmd's picture

How the hell do you know? Do you know the Rodgers family? If not, please just stop with your conjecture and BS. You’re giving all of us a headache...seriously.:/

John Kirk's picture

You have people parroting Aaron's questions, now. Why would he sign a contract extension if...

I just told you why. You're a doc you can fix that headache.

What is the question specifically? How do I know what? How do you know?

IceBowl's picture

How do you know what MM said to Arod on the phone? How do you know what those 50 people (supposedly) told the "reporter?"

Very simple, you don't.

John Kirk's picture

You're right. I don't know what was said on that phone but I've already said it wasn't what was reported. It makes no sense.

I gave my thoughts on why that was in the Dunne piece already. Murphy is the most likely leak. He wanted to appear to be this take charge guy with that comment getting out. Someone else at the Packers denied it and now Rodgers did...but, I'm sure Honest Magic Mark will tell us all the truth.

Ty Dunne spent 4 months talking with 50 people. For any of you to think this entire piece is all a lie is very very interesting.

IceBowl's picture

J Kirk,

Did you read the double talk you just posted.

If we are not talking about what was reported, then what is the basis for any of this crap. You are saying the report is not accurate, not relevant?

"most likely leak" is what you are basing your theory on. Most likely your theory is speculation also.

It took T Dunne 4 months to find 50 anonymous people to write a slanted, directed drama (re-read the story). I guess he is right in the middle of the sports world.

There probably is a fact or two that the article is based on. But with most of his story, so much can be out of context. Ambiguous.

The story is full of holes, big, ambiguous holes.

John Kirk's picture

IB...

Do you ever consider the type of stories you actually agree with and like reading? Would it be fair to say they're 180 from this piece? You like the story slanted to where Rodgers is a god and the Packers are a well-oiled machine. I'm sure you have ZERO issue with that slant. You probably would deny it exists, but it's curious you talk about agenda, slant, ambiguity.

You need to be weaned off the colostrum. It's time for meat. It's time to grow up and see this team as it is not as you wish and that includes Aaron Rodgers. Why does it matter? Who cares? Why defend and go against yourself? You will still be a fan and the Packers will still be the Packers if every single word and sentiment in the Dunne piece is true. I don't understand why you fight so hard against what everyone knows is true about Rodgers. We've all seen it. It's really not much different than the Ted health thing. We all saw it. Few admitted what it was or could bring themselves to see it for what it was. It took awhile but now you're finally having to come to grips with Ted being compromised and running the Packers and fake story being floated to hide him. The poor soul is so decaying that he likely won't be at his own induction ceremony in Green Bay. It took YEARS for him to go downhill and NOBODY did or said anything but deny, deny, and lie and lie. Not much different than right here. Rodgers is a prick. We know this. Why do we lie about it and pretend it isn't true?

IceBowl's picture

J Kirk,

I should have guessed you would avoid the questions/facts I raised above from your previous post. Sad. An honest response would have been a true response,

But you have decided to turn 180 degrees and ask me about stories I agree with. Well just look at my posts. Where do I unjustly accuse or defend anyone? WHERE?

You say .... "I'm sure you have ZERO issue with that slant." You are absolutely not sure what issue I believe. The issue I have is with purporting your (anyone's) opinion as fact. You want credibility, post it.

You say.... "Rodgers is a prick. We know this. Why do we lie about it and pretend it isn't true?" WHO KNOWS THIS? Is that the story you are trying to prove? All right Mr perfect human being, define prick. What does that have to do with the Pack? And if he is, do you feel better? I guess all the people around him may have a better idea than someone basing his opinion off a small minority of opinions.

Offer facts, and you can get credibility. Everyone knows it.

Donster's picture

John, I respect your opinion. But if you were in Rodgers shoes, wouldn't you want to tell your side of the story to defend yourself? Whether it was with WIlde and Tausch, or Demovsky at ESPN, he does have a right to defend himself. You would defend yourself too. If you don't speak up and defend yourself, people then think that everything in Dunne's article was fact.

As for Rodgers stealing money from the Packers, it was the Packers who wanted to get a deal done early. And if you were in that position, you would take the money too. Nobody is going to say "Oh I haven't played as well the past few years, so no Mr. Murphy, please don't give me a huge contract. I no longer deserve it."

And as for Brady, that's his decision not to take a huge contract. Plus his wife makes a crap load more money than he does. So he is in the position to take less money is he chooses to. You know Kraft would give Brady anything he wants if he asked for it. Just for the fact that Brady has made Kraft hundreds of millions of dollars.

John Kirk's picture

One of the things that really gets old is this notion that Brady's wife makes so much money so Tom can take less. He'd do it anyway.

How much money do you think Rodgers rakes in for endorsements? He does not need that money. You're right...people would take it if offered. He can't take it and say he doesn't care about it nor can he talk about the team not retaining guys when he's decided to take a chunk he knows will affect his supporting cast.

As for Rodgers side of the story. What he should do is specifically address things. Did he deny specifics outside of the Murphy phone call? Recount specifically what the claims were in this story and then tell people what really happened. He didn't. He just used a general "this was a smear campaign" and chose to try to discredit the source without having or bothering to discredit what was actually said.

I'll ask this again. Does anyone buy his soliloquy on McCarthy? Get specific. Do you buy it? He just loves Mike so much and really respects him and thinks you should shake his hand? What? He wouldn't do what he's telling others to do. Total fraud.

When you are on a forum and someone is raising questions you should either just ignore them if you don't want to address them. The mantra mostly is to type some childish insult in reply. If you can't speak adult then you shouldn't respond at all.

I'll ask you one final thing. Where are Dunne's peers? Anyone saying it was a "hit piece"? No. Why? Why would the venerable Peter King who seems to have a fine relationship with Rodgers write this in his FMIA column for PFT?

I think there’s a journalism tale in Dunne’s story too. He got significant parties to the story—most notably Ryan Grant, Jermichael Finley and Greg Jennings—to go on the record about a very sensitive topic involving one of the great players in recent history on a storied franchise. A franchise, I should add, that has been excellent at keeping dirty laundry in-house. What Dunne did is penetrate the bubble, and in today’s NFL, with so many filters between the media and the players, that’s an incredibly hard thing to do...

In today’s media, what’s also hard, and what Bleacher Report deserves credit for, is giving a writer four months to work on a story. I talked to Dunne on Friday (he’ll join me on my podcast dropping Wednesday), and he started reporting this story in early December. He talked to more than 50 people for it. Kudos to Dunne, and to his bosses, for realizing what a gold mine the story was, and taking the needed time that so few media entities allow today.

----Dunne talked to MORE THAN 50 PEOPLE. The blind followers keep saying it's only Jennings and Finley. Where was Rodgers on the other 48+ on this story?

Peter King understands the media and PR game better than most. He praised Dunne's piece while many here have slammed it because it just doesn't sound like what they read at Packers.com.

Edshrinker's picture

Truly one of the dunbest essays I have read on the Rodgers situation. I now feel dumber for having read it. Aaron Rodgers is a supreme believer in his abilities - too much so sometimes especially when scrambling. He isn't 25 anymore. To say he thinks he is in decline... well, yeah. Talk about a low football IQ. You make McCarthy look like Einstein

John Kirk's picture

You can refuse to acknowledge the why of why he signed an extension. It's pretty obvious to people who understood his situation with the Packers having all the control as to why he signed it.

The guy was talking about being scared on the field years ago in Carolina. This is from 2015. BTW, he's one game over .500 as a QB since then. You don't think he knows this? You don't think he's aware of being injured more and more as he ages?

Here's his quote from 2015 at Carolina where he threw a baffling pick:

Said Rodgers: "I had an easy opportunity for a pitch-and-catch touchdown, and I got scared by something. I can't explain it. It was a mistake by myself. I'll definitely be thinking about that one on the ride home."

---The guy who has the richest contract in the NFL was afraid back in 2015? Makes you wonder why he throws the ball away all the time. He's terrified of getting hit. He was on a critical play back in 2015. Tell me he's not on routine plays since.

Packerpasty's picture

you are soooo damn smart I hope your running a large company or perhaps you should look into getting into football management at some level...you sure know how to cherry pick...and he's been hit plenty..whos more afraid of getting hit than the great Tom Brady?? The man who goes into the turtle position when anyone gets close??

Adorabelle's picture

The spooked you mention had nothing to do with being hit. On this play there was a receiver going in motion across to the right. At the snap this receiver broke totally wide open but Mr. Rodgers never looked his way. He thought this guy was covered and was wrong and this was the spooked he was referring to. It had nothing to do with being hit at all. He was spooked off that route as he thought the defense had it covered. Both you and an actor turned sports commentator have harped on his words for years totally not understanding what his use of the word really meant.

John Kirk's picture

Are you kidding? He said he was "scared by something". You're trying to pass off he was scared because his guy was covered? Oh my gosh.

It had everything to do with feeling pressure that wasn't there. What down was that play?

Do you ever stop and consider how hard you're spinning this? Ever? That language doesn't fit with a receiver being covered at all but you're saying it does to take away it's real unflattering meaning.

You talk about Dunne's piece being slanted? You slant everything and I mean everything to bizarre places all to feel as though you've protected the Packers former good name. You do realize the Packers aren't viewed as you see them around the league anymore. This is not Ron Wolf's day...this is not the misconceptions and delusions of TT and MM. This is Mark Murphy out front leading with his 6-9-1.

Adorabelle's picture

I am not spinning anything. I am not disagreeing or agreeing with anything else you assert. I am saying that this play where he referred to being spooked off a route and that he "saw ghosts" was about the route he missed and nothing to do with pressure. Jay mohr who had a sports talk show on radio also went on about him seeing ghosts for years because he didn't understand what he meant either.

As for the rest of the post i don't think it was for me. In Ron wolfs day I was in diapers.

EddieLeeIvory's picture

How big is this chip on Rodgers' shoulder gonna be now?

mamasboy's picture

He better have a chip, Eddiel He's a .500 QB over the last 3-4 yrs, and needs to earn has new found fortune. This is a "prove my worth" year for Rodgers.

Ezra's Hotdog's picture

The defense and special teams had a hand in the demise last several years. Defense; giving up an average of 24 points a game last season. Special teams; Fumbling the ball or having to start a drive inside your own 20 yard line due to a block in the back or a holding call.

murphy's picture

Where is the .500 QB thing coming from?

By my math he's around 55% for win percentage in the last 4 seasons, and that's including the MN injury game and CAR not-ready-to-come-back game in 2017.

The QBs with better winning percentages over the last 4 seasons are Brady, Brees, Rothlisberger, Wilson, and Ryan. Brady's the only one over 70%, and Brees, Wilson, and Ryan are in the 50s or very low 60s. A healthier season in 2017 could have easily jumped Rodgers' % much higher.

John Kirk's picture

Peter King's article FMIA. Go read it. You will not find it at Packers.com nor anywhere in Packers media sites.

With any truth, you have to dig to find it in this world. I'll lend you my shovel...it's worn out from all the digging I do. Would be nice to see someone else actually understand their team outside of the bubble.

I did the math myself. 30 wins, 1 tie in 55 starts. Percentage = 54.54%

An average QB, with an average coach, and an average line, and an average group of receivers, and an average defense, would have won 50% or a record of 27-27-1

So over the last 4 years, we've been 3 games better than average.

Rodgers isn't backing away from anything the dirty duo say he did or said.

He isn't starting a defensive rear guard action.

He is calling out the whiners for what they are. Divas who couldn't accept leadership as delivered by the acknowledged leader of their side of the ball and the team in general.

I am not the biggest Rodgers fan, but his words and stand against the multiple year whining of these two malcontents is to be applauded.

He seems ready to embrace the 2019 GBP and be new again with MLF, Hackett and Getsy.

I won't predict success or rainbows and unicorns, but I will say that I do not anticipate any drama or dysfunction in the 2019 version of the GBP based on any of the off-season rumor mill manufactured drama.

Welcome to the 2019 GBP, Go Pack Go!

John Kirk's picture

Did you forget Ryan Grant and other unnamed were quoted here? It's not "just" Jennings and Finley.

porupack's picture

Waaah, waaah, waaah. Cry dude. Join the whiners if you think that upgrades your life perspective.
Yeah, we forgot, cuz its irrelevant to anything.

LambeauPlain's picture

Grant stood up for #12.

Jennings and Finley are just malcontents looking for attention during their new phase of NFL irrelevancy.

Kind of ironic that neither Jennings or Finley were never mentioned as "team leaders" like AR, Kuhn, JJ, Nelson, Cobb, Sitton, Lang, Williams, et al have been.

Kind of funny too...two whiners claiming to be experts on leadership when they were never mentions as being team leaders themselves.

John Kirk's picture

How about Donald Driver?

"We've always said that the quarterback is the one that needs to take the pressure off everyone else. If a guy runs the wrong route, it's easy for the quarterback to say, ‘Hey, I told him to run that route' than for the guy to be like, ‘Well, I ran the wrong route.' Sometimes you ask Aaron to take the pressure off the guys so we won't look bad, but he didn't want to do that. He felt like if you did something bad, you do it."---He later said...he wasn't saying Aaron was a bad guy...he was a great guy. Hmmmm. Why say that? I'm not saying Aaron is a bad guy...just the things I've said might make you think that. Donald was so, so conflicted but he chose to err on the side of truth than to cover for his former QB. I think he and Brett have probably talked quite a bit in the past about Aaron's arrogance.

Driver put Aaron under the bus just like Jennings, Finley and others. Do you hate him now, too?

I kind of smiled at the Driver quotes. Rodgers didn't want to take the blame for anything which is understandable. Who does? Apparently, that's the way it's supposed to work. Just like when a team plays poorly the HC takes the heat and doesn't put his players under the bus. Same would apply to the offense but Aaron wanted no part of that which I do understand but apparently that pissed off a lot of his wide receivers. You have to remember there's now at least 3 guys who have said stuff about Aaron. Donald Driver, Greg Jennings and Jermichael Finley. 3 tremendously talented players. These are the ones who have chosen to speak out. How many have decided to remain silent?

Jeff Janis basically said the stuff about Rodgers was true but it was okay with him and since he didn't take it personal no harm no foul. Just because Janis is okay with how Rodgers treated him doesn't mean that it is. Many people are in abusive relationships thinking the treatment they receive is okay. Thousands defended Bob Knight after he choked Neil Reed. Thousands defended Joe Paterno. Do you see a pattern here in anything that might apply to you? Fans of teams and people defend NO MATTER WHAT. Jussie Smollett had his defenders.

We all know this Dunne piece is true regarding the way Aaron Rodgers is. We didn't need the Dunne piece to know any of it really. It's well documented Aaron Rodgers is a narcissist. I laugh everytime I think of what Favre must've thought when Aaron went up to Favre as a rookie and asked him about his Wonderlic score knowing his was higher than Brett's. Brett was bemused and didn't know his own score. Rodgers was quick to tell him what it was and his was better. Imagine that rookie now years later enabled after the gush fest that has been poured over him and some of it for good reason due to his play earlier in his career. People can NOT see him as a person and look at him as if he wasn't the best to ever throw it. That clouds people. It doesn't cloud me. I see him as I would see anyone. He's not a likable person at all. Not a guy I'd want to be friends with.

Sadly, I understand how it works. He's a deified and people genuflect every chance they get even in the face of deplorable behavior.

IceBowl's picture

J Kirk,

Can you post some clear information? If you think that confusing 1st paragraph was definitive, it was not. Confusing, ambiguous and unverified hearsay.

Driver put Aaron under the bus in your mind. All WR's want the ball. Mistakes are made everywhere. Comments in the heat of battle. Players acknowledge mistakes (many privately) and move on, if they are adults.

Abusive relationship? Have you had a job? Have you ever played a team sport? Abusive maybe not the only word to describe competition. Constructive criticism? Not Arod in your mind.

J Kirk says, "We all know this Dunne piece is true regarding the way Aaron Rodgers is" Kirk, I find it amazing you know "what we all know." I find it amazing what you think you know. Post the facts, quotes, or references if you want credibility.

I don't know your beef with ARod, or anyone, but do not expect us to believe your speculation just because you think it.

ARod, all coaches and players have their problems, but I will not accept speculation, opinion, or a minority report to defame them.

I laugh at what you thought when I asked you to offer facts on your opinion pieces.

More entertainment.

John Kirk's picture

Facts? Have you read my posts over the time I've been here? It's funny you ask for facts when they don't matter to you anyway.

The Dunne piece is an amalgamation of my posts over the years.

What would you like? Links?

Did you see 60 minutes piece? Do you know the name Kevin Lanflisi and his history with Rodgers? Do you watch games and his body language? Did you watch the ESPN piece about his draft day experience? Are you aware he threw his Wonderlic score in Brett's face because he knew his was higher AS A ROOKIE!!! Followed along the issues he has with his family? Seen the tirades on sideline with MM in past years? Listen to his comments after Bills game? Listen to his comments on AVP or Jordy? Did you used to listen to his show with Wilde? I remember him basically laughing at Tony Romo's skills as a QB. The guy acts as if he's above reproach. He doesn't take blame...Brett never did either and I couldn't stand him for it, either. Aaron has said himself he's not a leader with words. He's a "quiet leader" by "example". Did you ever read his quote on the wet ball drill he had to suffer through in practice and how he mocked its stupidity?

What facts do you want...there is so many of them it's hard to keep up with all of them from over the years.

IceBowl's picture

J Kirk,

I am new here, so I have not seen your long history of verified information. So far I have seen mostly opinion and propaganda from you.

LOL. Facts don't matter to me? You must be from another planet.

And your normal retort. Ask more questions? Don't bother to address your distortions, ambiguities or information that I ask about.

For verification, I ask above,.....

No response to any of that. I guess my questions don't matter to you.

And J Kirk, your propaganda is old and exposed...

"Types of propaganda:

1. Bandwagon - To convince the audience to do or believe something because everyone else is doing it."

You do recognize yourself here right? Well I do. examples......

1. "Rodgers is a prick. We know this." 2. "I don't understand why you fight so hard against what everyone knows is true about Rodgers."

You just deflect real, honest interaction with questions that fit your propaganda narrative. I guess it's too hard to keep up with the content in the post just above yours.

You are not credible Kirk.

John Kirk's picture

You're new? Welcome. I see you're acclimating quickly and bring a real fresh perspective that's missing here.

I've read all these comments on this subject over the last several days. Even the guys who have a history of drinking the koolaid to get drunk have been sober enough to state that basically "we already knew this" while fighting hard to move on from it. If a poster who drinks the amount of koolaid that is consumed here it's obvious that even you see this. Why are you asking me for proof of things you know yourself? The issue is you not wanting to go there.

I've asked over and over. Does anyone buy Rodgers soliloquy on McCarthy? My questions have gone unanswered forever around here. Go look over the last few days how many points I've made and questions I've asked and you're lamenting you're not getting yours answered? I got around to you and you don't refute anything I actually post....just speak in general terms. Surface stuff. Dig. Can you get in the ground with me or will you just stay where you are like most others here?

Using your mind and senses is a good thing. You're not less of a fan because you think your QB is a jackass. You're not less of fan for thinking MM is an idiot. You're not less of a fan for seeing this thing has gone off the rails and lamenting it.

Why does it? Why do you have to be Packers positive all the time like it;s a duty? It's a game on TV.

Crazy you would even bring up the word "credibility" in regards to me. Again, you haven't been around so maybe you haven't seen.

I posted here last offseason the Packers would become the Browns and the Browns the Packers. Look at the one year movement. It's already happened. Packers are drafting before the Browns this year because the Packers aren't as good.

The Ted health story is one of my recent favorites. I got absolutely hammered here for saying things about Ted's health for a long long time. It still bothers me that the majority let their fandom blind themselves to a person struggling as Ted was. I tried very hard to make this change. I had email convo with Wilde. Back and forth with Bill Huber at Packer Report. These guys KNEW he was struggling and chose to turn a blind eye instead of writing about how a compromised man was running the Packers while struggling mightily. How is that even possible with the attention this team gets? It's unconscionable. There I was shouting into the forest while guys like you said horrible things about me and told me how stupid and wrong I was and where were my facts kind of like you right now. The facts were given but like with you they don't matter to drone programming.

I've been in the Packers posting game for a couple of decades. I have stopped regular posting. It's so disappointing to see what I see. Now, I just get it in small doses which is all I can handle or want anymore.

Edshrinker's picture

Great comment. I believe of all the folks you mentioned, Getsy is the key.

Bure9620's picture

Whatever the truth is, it is extremely ridiculous for GJ and JF to be throwing darts at this point. It looks they are trying to stay relevant and this how they accomplish it.

John Kirk's picture

Please, don't parrot Aaron. It's really sad he has you duplicitous now.

Why is it ridiculous for Jennings and Finley to speak their truth? Ryan Grant? The unnamed players? You don't like that? Only Aaron could possibly be telling the truth?

Did you honestly believe Aaron was going to do anything but deny this?

You have to take what he said and really analyze it. You want to stay surface and tell yourself as long as he denied it there's no truth.

Does anyone buy his soliloquy swearing how much he loved Mike McCarthy? Please.

Think.

Kubyskins12's picture

It’s not parroting it’s the truth!

IceBowl's picture

John Kirk asks, "Does anyone buy his soliloquy swearing how much he loved Mike McCarthy? Please."

J Kirk, it seems you are willing to accept others at their word. Just not ARod? He made his comments on the record in front of everyone. Much unlike the anonymous sources (mostly) you accept hook, line and sinker.

Sorry, but you lose credibility.

John Kirk's picture

LOL. Why would I take a sensitive petty guy at his word? He's NEVER admitting this stuff. NEVER.

I don't believe what he says about anything. He's a fraud and that soliloquy proves he doesn't tell the truth.

You disagree?

John Kirk's picture

Let me hone in on this a little more.

It seems I am willing to take others at their word more than Aaron?

No. What I'm doing is aligning myself with those who speak to the things I've witnessed and seen for myself over the years. My beliefs fit with those who are "anti-Aaron" based on what I, personally, have witnessed.

You don't seem to understand that Rodgers was my all-time favorite college QB. I wanted him to start as soon as we drafted him. I wanted Brett out of the way for him. I thought he was not only a great QB but a great guy. That was based on what I knew and had witnessed back then.

For some reason, you seem to have this notion that I'm anti whatever just because. Not at all.

IE: I love Aaron Jones. Huge, huge fan of Aaron Jones. I was a fan of his before the draft and ecstatic when he became a 5th round steal. Now, I really hated the marijuana bust thing and that still bothers me, but he's a very good guy who helps a lot of people when he thinks others aren't watching. Very respectful in his speech. Big, big fan. Was upset he didn't see the ball more from the word go around here. Sickened to see him sit behind lesser players.

I also LOVE Mike Pettine. Huge huge Pettine fan. Was out of my mind when he signed on here.

As to Rodgers, I think he's gotten way too full of himself just like KGB said in an interview a few months back. Money, fame, success has changed that guy. Favre changed too. I speak to what I see. Just because I think something today doesn't mean I'll think it tomorrow. I go with what I see and use my experience with people and life to form an opinion.

So, when people say TROLL! Vikings fan, or whatever else cheap uninformed thing they throw out, it amuses me. I'm just a guy who spent 8 years in media who made a decision years ago that it was important to be objective. I taught myself how to do it. An email from a former "unnamed" to you but named to me former Favre teammate regarding Brett Favre changed my perspective on him forever and I literally loathed him from 2001 forward when I previously had been a big big fan save for the stupid decisions he would routinely make. Was never a Favre yes man... I spoke to his strengths and flaws just like I do with myself and anyone and everything else. You may not know many like me but that's how I roll.

LambeauPlain's picture

Take your own advice. Think.

If AR and MM were so estranged, why would MM say the last two years they have never been closer? If they were so bitter with one another, why would MM publicly state he invited AR over to his house for dinner with his family all the time?

Why would AR go out of his way to tell Packer fans to go out of their way to thank MM for his time as HC? Why would he call him a great coach and great man? Why would he publicly say he loves MM and respects him?

That sounds like a coach and his player who have a very close relationship build on mutual respect and yes, love.

Yet you want to slurp up "unnamed sources" from a two bit sports reporter?

Jeez!

John Kirk's picture

You just typed that? Wow.

Mike McCarthy is what right now? UNEMPLOYED. He did NOT get a job this round of multiple openings. Why?

This guy is viewed as a problem. He's viewed as a guy with old stale schemes, too. What franchise is turning over their big investment at QB to MM when he was shown to have issues with Rodgers? The best ever thinks you're trash says a lot. Yeah, line up and hire that guy. Honestly, it sounds like something the Packers would do. Hire a guy who failed and couldn't connect with his QB. I'm sure the Jets pondered McCarthy and thought NO WAY are we handing our franchise (Darnold) to McCarthy. Same for the Browns and Mayfield. You think Dorsey and the best part of the Packers org wanted MM anywhere near their superstar QB? Nope. Learn PR. Look. Stop trying to spin things Packers positive. Just type about what you honestly see unless you can't honestly see through any lens but green and golds.

McCarthy desperately wants to coach again. Many are saying he may end up like Billick. We'll see. So, when you ask why MM is out throwing olive branches it should be as obvious as can be. He's trying to rehabilitate his image for future employment reasons.

As for Rodgers, we know he's used to being treated like a god from Packers.com, places like here, and other Packers related outlets. That Dunne piece crushed him. He came back with a vengeance because he was that pissed. He doesn't want anyone tarnishing his image. A guy like him becomes a lot less marketable when everyone knows and it becomes accepted that he's a major dick.

Peter King is as respected as they come. He called the piece a GOLD MINE and told you how hard it is from someone who would know how hard it is to pierce the BUBBLE that surrounds Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers. Sorry, you're mad but I tell you the truth and it burns. Learn to care about truth over perception and I guarantee you, you'll be a better person and will see this situation and the world much differently than you do today.

Skip greenBayless's picture

Kirk, I sit here in awe of how you can just calmly and eloquently destroy and embarrass a guy and do it so fast and furious and not even blink. There's only one other person in my entire lifetime I saw do what you just did here and that was Donald J. Trump in the debates in 2016. When someone is being compared to what many are saying will go down as probably the greatest and most effective President in the history of this country that my friend is the ultimate compliment. That was one epic beat down, wow!!

Skip

mamasboy's picture

I can't believe the words "at what point do you move on" came out of Rodgers' mouth. Why didn't he "move on" from the fact that MM thought Smith was a better QB (like a lot of people did). If the last couple of seasons of QB play are a look into the future , it will be the Packers fans that won't be able to" move on". Hell hath no wrath like Packers fans who have been screwed out of $135 million by a QB who (if he doesn't turn it around) will be booed right out of the stadium next year. We should all hope, that all of this negativity toward him, will put another ''Chip " on his shoulder. and he moves on from his average play over the last few years. While I'm at it, I'd like to say that all of the scrambling he did to extend plays ( at the cost of wearing out his O linemen , and causing fatigue related injuries) so he could throw it out of bounds and set the record for fewest interceptions, caused more harm than good. I'm pretty sure, everyone else on the offense payed as well, while running around for Rodgers. He passed on WIDE OPEN check downs, so that he could run around trying to 'make something happen" and then..... he threw it out of bounds. We're going to find out if Rodgers is a team player this year, with a new system and coach. God help us ( and him) if he isn't.

Nick Perry's picture

What I've found interesting is NOT ONCE that I'm aware of has anyone mentioned the contract offer Jennings turned down before the 2012 season. The Packers TRIED to get a deal done by offering $11 million per year prior to the start of the 2012 season. Jennings wanted $12 million a year and was told no thanks. A concussion and abdominal injury later Jennings has a bad year and ends up with about $9 million a year (5 years $45 million) with just $18 million guaranteed with Minnesota. Jennings QUICKLY found out he shouldn't have been suck a greedy F**K.

Then there was the offseason after 2012 where Jennings STARTED this whole drama when his SISTER started making comments about Rodgers...HIS SISTER! I mean are you kidding me? Then there were the comments by Jennings about how much better Minnesota was than GB. Jennings started this CRAP a long, long time again and is STILL telling anyone else who will still listen.

SMH... Rodgers was right.. Are you STILL talking about this Greg...STILL? Who's really the diva? Christ MOVE ON.

EddieLeeIvory's picture

Yep Jennings loud mouthed, foul, nasty sister basically did the public speaking for Jennings at that time.

He went from perennial playoffs in Green Bay to Loserville in Minny & Miami. All that makes him a loser.

Donster's picture

Jennings and Finley aren't about to move on as long as they can keep getting paychecks from sports networks and reporters. They're careers are over. Got to make some money some how. They may have had a legit beef with Rodgers. Strong personalities clash. Jealousy also rears its ugly head.

Both Jennings and Finley need to grow the f**k up and let it go. But money can make people say crap regardless of the truth.

John Kirk's picture

You think Finley and Jennings were paid for this Dunne article? Oh my...

Packerpasty's picture

amen..

LambeauPlain's picture

Jennings has showed his character to be lacking...sadly lacking.

AR is the better man in this kerfuffle.

Lphill's picture

More players came out in support of Rodgers then those few who continue to speak negatively, Rodgers had a chance to leave and he didn’t knowing that he was not going to be surrounded by a lot of talent , or receive any help from free agency , now look at the new way of thinking , I think Rodgers is very happy and looking forward to winning , it was just time for MM to go , when Rodgers is up on the podium accepting another Lombardi let’s see what the haters have to say about that. And it’s coming .

John Kirk's picture

You don't understand the nature of this at all. Read Peter King praise Ty Dunne for getting inside the bubble (his actual word) to get guys to talk about Rodgers like that. This is not easy to do. Guys have things to lose. That's why you don't have CURRENT guys on the record.

pig head's picture

king is just gettin in line so he to can get the clicks.

John Kirk's picture

King gets Rodgers to talk to him. Peter is stepping out on a limb saying what he's said.

Is that the go to when you read something you don't like? It's about clicks?

Deal with the piece itself. Go through it line by line. Take the time to ponder each and every aspect of it.

Finley and Jennings don't like Rodgers. They didn't back when they were playing together and they don't now. Why is that?

Donald Driver has addressed some of this in the past. You should Google that. Ponder what he said and how he chose to frame things. He was very careful not to sound critical but you can read between the lines and understand what's there if you try.

4thand1's picture

Are you related to Peter King? King is just another reporter trying to get traction on a story that's going nowhere. You are proving to be the same JK, getting attention to satisfy your own ego. If you want to bash the Packers go either to your bearsstillsuck blogs or viqueens and stay away. No one will miss you or dashripthepack co--.

John Kirk's picture

This story is going nowhere? Says who? It enjoyed a nice run during the dead time of the NFL season.

This won't be the last you hear of it.

Nope. Not related to Peter. Peter is not trying to get traction. It was buried in his FMIA piece. Not even close to the lead.

My ego? You really misunderstand me. Very little ego in me. I used to be like you. I really did. I can't imagine ever living like that again.

No such thing as me bashing the Packers. I'm only commenting on relevant stories. A basher would just show up and start bashing anywhere and everywhere. I've never done that and never will.

I really am hopeful one day some of you may grow out of this fog you're presently in. It doesn't happen by you hob knobbing with others in that same fog. You really need perspective. You don't seek it that's for sure or you wouldn't be like this. I do seek it. I want to dig and research and meditate on subjects. I don't blindly support ANYTHING much less a guy who throws a football on TV.

pig head's picture

its the latest sports news story thats being talked about, anyone whom is someone in the sportswriter world wants in and how big a wedge king wants to use between his friend Rodgers and him is calculated before he kings puts out his words.

I personally think this whole Dunne article was a puff piece and its something long time packer fans allready knew about except the massages which i dont believe is true. By the way my massages in the philippines where i live only cost $6.00 an hour just sayin : )

porupack's picture

Give up John Kirk. You have nothing of substance. You have no idea even what should be any way forward, or consequence, or anything. Any possible outcome of all this gossip is way beyond you're ability. You don't have a clue what you're even driving at. Give up. You and Dash just aren't cut out for this kind of thing.

LambeauPlain's picture

What if half the unnamed "quotes" are made up by Dunne or taken a half truth he twisted into a sensationalize work of fiction? Journalism 101 demands you verify explosive quotes or use the person's name. Dunne did none of this. Sloppy, lazy, agenda driven smearing journalism.

Ponder a story filled with mostly unnamed sources and "ponder it line by line"? Jeez...you are easy to fool.

The funny thing is Greg Jennings wanting to be a "sports reporter" now. What player or coach or GM would ever talk to him knowing his vindictive, finger pointing personality?

John Kirk's picture

I will guarantee you NONE of the quotes in the Dunne piece are made up.

The word LIBEL mean anything to you? Dunne and his bosses at Bleacher Report understood what they were doing when they decided to write this piece.

Why do you think it took 4 months and over 50 sources? Rodgers IS the type to sue. Outfits like BR understand what's happened to sites like Gawker.com. You better be right if you're going to write something the subject (and by definition his minions) will get bent out of shape over to the point you may be litigated against. So, your idea and false hope that this story is basically "made up" holds no water. Just the typical uninformed commentary and wishful thinking we see way too much of.

IceBowl's picture

Peter King also said, and I quote "Kudos to Dunne, and to his bosses, for realizing what a gold mine the story was...."

Read that "gold mine".

John Kirk's picture

Gold mine as in wealth of information. Peter was effusive in his praise for this piece and for good reason. He knows how hard it is to go after an icon and tell the world he isn't how he wishes to be perceived.

You sure like to spin things into very odd places to try and self-justify.

IceBowl's picture

Kirk,

You continually expose yourself.

How do you know, as you state, P King meant ..."Gold mine as in wealth of information."

That is just your opinion. It certainly is not definitive.

And you say to me ..... "You sure like to spin things into very odd places to try and self-justify."

You got that from my post?????? You made that up from my post???

You are not credible, and a worse comment is warranted, but I will not.

John Kirk's picture

I never expose myself. I've got a little sizzler.

It isn't my opinion. It's a fact. Your deduction makes NO sense. Wealth of information follows from PK's previous comments. It fits into lingo I'm very familiar with. Certain guys were gold mines...meaning full of information and goodness to interview, so I get the context that you don't. You would get it if you weren't trying so hard to promote the Packers. Leave that to the PR department.

What would you be saying if Rodgers was a Chicago Bear or Viking? No question at all you'd have a vastly different view. When you can learn to look at Rodgers as you would if he were a QB of another team you don't care about, you'll begin to see him clearly but not before.

You're the one with the trumped up opinions. Spinning hard for the green and gold ala Rumplestiltskin.

IceBowl's picture

J Kirk,

Your point #1. I have to believe you. I really don't care, but am not surprised either.

#2. It is your opinion. Or just show us your conversation with P King that adds any validity to your nonsense. Certain stories are gold mines for dollars (like OJ) That fits lingo many of us are familiar with too. NTL, opinion. And where or when have I tried to promote the Packers? What thread? What post? I'm sure this will fall dead off your radar, but it will land on your integrity.

#3. You have no clue what I would be saying, as evidenced in your point
#2. I would be saying what I am saying. I don't treat opinion, hearsay, propaganda or imagination as fact. You will not understand how I view ARod until I tell you. Which I have not. (except a small blip in another thread)

#4. I have not offered up opinions about the green and gold. Show me one or stop lying.

Your statements/accusations that you base this whole post on are unfounded opinion.

You are not credible. Funny, maybe.

LambeauPlain's picture

Oh good grief. "Unnamed sources" can easily provide invented quotes. "Unnamed sources" can be someone who has less knowledge about the Packers than I do. "Unnamed sources" could be a comment made by someone to Dunne that he then twists and takes totally out of context.

How will we ever know if Dunne is reporting honestly or making things up?

We won't...and that is why this is lazy, sloppy, sensationalized poor journalism. This isn't a "scoop"...this is likely a story of fiction to get fools to bite.

LambeauPlain's picture

Most of the sources for Dunne's "story" were "unnamed".

They have NOTHING to lose!

John Kirk's picture

Much wisdom in your 2nd sentence. That is why it is so, so, so hard to get a story like this written and why active players won't be part of it.

This is why unnamed sources are the best and preferred. They will give you the real scoop where someone named oftentimes will just give the canned response.

Packer Fan's picture

Good job Aaron!

draftnut59's picture

I always loved Jennings while he was here. My home town is twenty miles from Kalamazoo, so drafting a player from Western Michigan was pretty cool. When he turned out to be so good, that was the cherry on top of the cake. The Packers signed him to a second contract and when they won theSuper Bowl, Jennings was one of the stars. But, frankly, after that, the wheels started to come off. The Packers drafted Cobb the next year, and Jennings got a year older. He started nursing injuries, and his targets started going down. When his contract expired, Cobb was poised to take over the WR2 role, and he left the team. None of that was Rodger’s fault, but Jennings lashed out at him. Like a lot of players who leave the Packers, he was still good, but his best days were behind him. That wasn’t Rodger’s fault. The QB situation wasn’t good in Minnesota, but he knew that going in. He got paid, but it wasn’t the same.

I don’t hate Greg Jennings. He was a good Packer, and I appreciate what he did for my team, but like Rodgers said, “Move on”. All this bitterness isn’t becoming. It makes me wonder if the team saw signs of this attitude way back when. If so, it may have had a lot to do with their decision not to resign him. But, whatever the case, it’s time to move on. It’s harder and harder to take anything he says seriously every time I hear him rant on about the same old thing.

Excellant come back Aaron..you have many more supporters than critics I see...what person in the spot light doesn't have critics? You've handled it well!! Take us to a Super Bowl, your the main cog in the chain...

Packerpasty's picture

Here's also what Peter King had to say..why don't "some" people on this forum mention this...
""I think, come to think of it, that Dunne probably just helped Aaron Rodgers prepare to be great again in 2019. Rodgers will understand that many now will view him as a controlling home-wrecker, and he’ll be supremely motivated to show what a team guy, and a winning guy, he is. He’s not going to want to be known as the 800-pound gorilla. He’s going to want to be known as a great leader and winning player. That’s my guess anyway.""

Jennings and Finley have exhausted the emotional good will bank account of the fans. They are not just ex-NFL players who were never touted as locker room leaders...now they are looking like pathetic, malcontent millionaires.

Beloved in GB no more!

Rodgers and McCartney will always be beloved by the fans. They were a good team for a long time.

Packer Fan's picture

Atta boy Aaron. He did exactly what was needed. Jennings and Finley have always been providing negative comments. The rest of the stuff is Dunne trying to fill holes into a story that he thinks happened. Bad defeats due to suspect coaching. Thompson made bad draft choices and didn't keep the good ones, ie Harward and Hyde. McCarthy's offense was too predictable. He said he was going to scrub the offense last year, but it was still too predictable. Then because of the bad personnel decisions, the talent level was deficient. And McCarthy lost his players last year. So yeah, things happen and people get pissed and people get angry and sound off.

Just about the best things happened. Thompson and McCarthy are gone. Gute nailed free agency. Hopefully a good draft, a better offensive system and development of the defense will bring winning back again. And the nay sayers are gone.

All I know is what I see. As a reader of body language, and sometimes lips, I have thought that Rodgers has been acting like a complete jerk. From hardly ever taking responsibility for a bad throw, to looking to the heavens seemingly wondering why he must play with such idiot receivers, I have grown to dislike him on a personal level a lot. It would be nice to see him up encouraging his team mates or discussing what to do on the next series, but it doesn't look like he thinks they merit his time.
Yes, he can play the position, but I read a man who is arrogant and narcissistic. A Diva and a jerk. Good QB, not sure he's a good leader or person. Just my opinion, but I do understand body language, and this is calling it like I see it. 4K HDTV has not been his friend.

John Kirk's picture

Excellent post. He is the KING of bad body language.

LOL at 4K comment. He looks awful in standard def, too.

Skip greenBayless's picture

Excellent take BamapackFan!! So so agree with you on this. What Rodgers says to reporters off the field is meaningless but it's his actions and body language that give him away especially when he's on the field. Aaron Rodgers' own brother and mother have issues with him. Think about that especially his mother. It doesn't get any worse than that. I bet his dog probably has felt his wrath if he could talk. Probably can't even bark at this point. Rodgers covers his tracks pretty much every where. He's now trying to do so with the Dunne bombshell. As Kirk says, anymore hits like Dunnes and his endorsements will start to tank.

John Kirk's picture

What his minions don't contemplate is Aaron Rodgers is a brand. He has to protect his brand. He's a few years away from not having football. Heck, a serious injury this year and football might be over for him in 2019. He will need to fall back on his brand. His brand won't sell if the whole world thinks he's a first class prick. That is the perception of many which he's aware of but the Dunne piece served to push even some of his more staunch supporters to a place they've been wrestling with.

Aaron is a bright guy. He gets it. Knows exactly what he's doing with every word he says. That's why it's GARBAGE he said he didn't mean to "come across" as disrespectful with his comments after Buffalo game. No. He wanted to be disrespectful so he was. Now, to try and curry favor and stem the tide against him he goes back to that and uses that as an "admission" of at least "something" he did wrong. Ironic he brings up something we all saw and heard so he can't hide from it. Everyone knew what he was doing when he said that. First, he's lying about why he said it ...and second...it serves to have his minions talk about how he's taking responsibility when he's eschewed it on countless occasions but if he tells Wilde this he must be accountable because look what he did there when he didn't have to. That remark about his comment after the Bills game is NEVER uttered short of the Dunne piece. Why didn't he say this at any point during the season after he said it? Had plenty of months to do it. He didn't because he wanted MM fired because he doesn't respect him and thinks he's an idiot which I don't fault him for. Just admit instead of passive aggressively jerking the strings of his followers that buy every word he says. He's a fraud and his followers ain't very bright.

Packerpasty's picture

a multi millionaire has to have a brand after football?? He isn't smart enough to invest now and live happily ever after, maybe with Danica and the vineyard?? BamaPackFan,

Glad you are supporter of the Pack. I hope you get up to a game sometime.

I also want to thank you for your post. You explain you formed your opinion based on what you have seen and your reaction to his actions.

I have seen many of the same things. He is always under the spotlight and rightly so.

But this site is wanting to understand what an opinion is, and you showed a clear picture. And you don't seem to be trying to force your opinion on anyone either. I applaud you.

I hope I haven't embarrassed you, but you show a very good example.

I hope we have more to cheer about this year.

BamaPackFan's picture

Thank You. Yes, My Father was born and raised in Milwaukee. This season would have been his 61st year as a season ticket holder had he not passed last April. We traveled from Alabama to see the Pack play twice a year since I was a teenager. He made sure to transfer the Gold Package tickets to me and I continue to travel to see the Pack at Lambeau. He met my Mom while traveling for work and moved to Alabama and married her. I was born and raised here in Alabama. I have been fortunate to be a fan of the Packers (Most World Titles), and the Crimson Tide (Most National Titles) all of my life. I've led a charmed life as a fan of football. I follow the Packers as closely as any Wisconsin native, and Love the history of the franchise. Best to you sir. I am very excited about the FA additions and the prospects for the upcoming draft. I believe the Packers will be much improved. Thanks for your kind words.

IceBowl's picture

BamaPackFan,

So sorry for your loss. So lucky you get to so many games. Even many Wisconsinites can't say that. The Pack waiting list is around 70,000 last I heard. So you have Gold gold in your tickets. I hope you can keep them in the family.

(sorry you are stuck with the Tide instead of the Badgers :-). I guess we all have to suffer a little.)

Are you one of those "Bass Masters?"

Archie's picture

Is Rodgers the perfect person? No. And probably nobody else is either. Is he a bad guy? No.

Is Rodgers a heckuva QB (generational type) that all Packer fans should enjoy to the fullest extent possible while he's here? Absolutely. Nuff said.

Can't wait for the draft - 15 days and counting.

Experts now say Hock is likely top offensive pick after QB1. If true, not likely to make it to 12. Even Oliver and Sweat could be goners at 12. Devin Smith? Gone. That's six defensive guys right there. Throw in Hock, an OT, and 2 or 3 QBs and who will be left at 12 that is worth the pick?

If things do down like this, look for Gutey to trade back if he can. 12 is too high for Fant. Jawaan Taylor is only OT I might take at 12 (depending on trade offers). There are no other standout "can't miss" type defensive guys available. One more loss in 2018 and we would have been picking 8th. That would be the catbird's seat, IMHO.

R2 is the sweet spot of most drafts i.e., ROI. (ROI = return on investment). Depending on how the board falls, our pick 12 for a teams R1 pick this year, and R2 picks in 2019 and 2000. Turn one pick into three. That said, if Hock or Oliver is on teh board at 12, I'm exercising my pick if I'm in Gutey's shoes.

We shall see.

Surprised this didn't get any play anywhere. Listen to Rodgers answer about whether Mark told him "don't be the problem"...

twitter dot com WildeAndTausch/status/1115378047006511105

Why would Rodgers go off an say it's absurd and false and it never happened and then say that he asked Mark if he was talking about their conversation?

1) Rodgers suspected Mark may have leaked their conversation just by asking him if he did.

2) If Rodgers knew this was made up and a fabrication why is he asking Mark if he said it?

There's not just smoke here there's flames.

GB Jacker's picture

You can add two and two together and make whatever the hell you like.

The fact that Murphy and Rodgers have spoken on the phone, and call eachother, shouldn't be a surprise or a worry. It's certainly not evidence that 'the problem' call took place.

John Kirk's picture

Aaron Rodgers flat out said he picked up the phone and asked Mark if he was talking about their private conversation. He did this after reading the Dunne article. This is a fact out of Aaron's own mouth.

Why does Aaron need to ask this if he doesn't suspect Mark was talking? He made the call and asked the question for a reason.

Mark isn't going to tell him the truth. He'd lie to him like he lied to LaFleur. Remember, he bragged about lying to Matt in Matt's intro presser.

Aaron thought Mark was the leak and it naturally follows based on listening to his answer that he thought Mark told Dunne : Don't be the problem. ---Of course Mark disputed that. I don't know what he said for sure but Aaron thought he was talking.

Oh, and for those who thought this story was dead...it's FULLY ALIVE. It's everywhere today. It ain't going away.

Did you ever watch the movie A Few Good Men starring Tom Cruise as the lawyer and Jack Nicholson as Col. Nathan T. Jessup? What John T. Kirk just did was figure out who ordered the code red. It was Murphy and Rodgers knew it all along. Kirk with a brilliant but simple observation just solved the puzzle with the Rodgers slip up. Was he spooked? Who knows but I will say this. You 4th and 1 should be thanking Kirk but instead you want to keep up the damn enabling of our quarterback. At what point 4th and 1 is enough enough?

Skip

IceBowl's picture

skipdash,

Where you might be right, is in that this is like a movie. Fiction, out of context, ambiguous made for TV (cheap) movie. I hope the end will be more realistic than "A Few Good Men."

What you have exactly right, and I quote you .... "Who knows ....."

GB Jacker's picture

You don't think that the Packers might have discussed internally how to handle this? Doesn't mean that AR12 called him (or that he even did) just to ask him about that.

Honestly. We all, you included, know literally nothing.

Not sure Tyler Dunne knows all that much either frankly.

John Kirk's picture

I linked the clip so you could listen. Please, do so before commenting.

As for IB... I did listen. I linked it for a reason.

You listen to it. Aaron picked up the phone and called Murphy after reading the piece to ask him if he'd been talking about their private conversation.

Aaron was paranoid Murphy was the leak or had told someone else just like I speculated on above.

This story has more legs than a centipede and is far from over just as I said the other day. It's not over by a long shot and it shouldn't be.

IceBowl's picture

J Kirk,

The link doesn't work. Real hard to listen to it that way. (maybe you can tell the new kid how to connect through your link) But I found the interview anyway. Listened with great interest. Heard every word if it. I even transcribed it.

You say ..... "You listen to it. Aaron picked up the phone and called Murphy after reading the piece to ask him if he'd been talking about their private conversation."

You disingenuously, do not mention ARod was laughing as if to ask is this another lie, joke, or rumor. ARod was laughing! Laughing!!! Now that is real serious content for your misplaced assumptions. Right out of ARod's mouth. Laughing.

You also say ....."Aaron was paranoid Murphy was the leak...."

Do you really believe this crap you are posting? Did you really listen to ARod? Maybe you have to listen through a listening device.

ARod was not paranoid sounding at all when he talks about the call. He had just refuted (100%) the false, fake "don't be a problem" MM quote as nonsense. Then he laughingly says he called and asked MM, laughingly, jokingly, did he talk about their call.

To explain, so honest people want to understand, ARod had just dismissed the first quote as 100% false, and now, jokingly asks if this other quote is just as false as the first. And MM tells him it's ridiculous.

J Kirk, you lose credibility. Try honesty, not sensationalism.

And I am laughing too.

GB Jacker's picture

I did listen. Something you'd do well to try. Some might find your tone condescending John.

So you believe 100% one thing Aaron says, because he said it it's fact. But also 100% don't believe another thing he says. Because somebody else said the opposite, it must not be fact.

Smart logic that.

IceBowl's picture

J Kirk,

Maybe you should listen to that interview again.

ARod asked the question in a laughing manner, right after he explains the "don't be a problem" reported MM quote was "100% patently false."

In other words, what is the next joke, lie or fantasy? He was laughing!

Listen and learn, don't just cherry pick words out of context, like that goofy reporter.

IceBowl's picture

GB Jacker,

So succinctly put. But you say exactly what J Kirk usually does. Adds 4 and 5 and comes up with zero.

He lacks credibility.

Skip greenBayless's picture

Excellent observation Mr. Kirk. I guess I was so busy dealing with name change and obtuse people like IceHowl and White Tornado wanting to cause a ruckus that I didn't catch that.

Yes, there is flames every where on that comment. Clearly Rodgers and Murphy are now both in on it. It happened, it was definitely said to Rodgers. I hope all the people that went after Dunne will now have the same courtesy to apologize to him. Rodgers would not be asking Murphy if he said it. So true Kirk.

The problem with liars is at some point it becomes so tangled that they eventually slip up. This was one of those cases.

Skip

John Kirk's picture

It's remarkable I can link a clip of the audio and make a point about it and have someone ask me to relisten to it. I listened to it several times already before bringing it here.

My thought above was Magic Mark was the leak either directly or indirectly. He's already proven to have no issue with "bullsh*tting" his new HC, so it wouldn't be surprising to learn he lied to Aaron about whether he was the leak or not.

I feel more strongly than ever that Mark did tell someone that he said that to Aaron to make himself look in control.

Packers dysfunction has never been higher and that includes back during the Favre stuff before his trade.

Poor Matt LaFleur. Coming into this nightmare. Such a weak guy. Murphy probably hired him because he was the most likely to let Aaron run over him. McDaniels wouldn't have. LaFleur will be Murphy's puppet. Magic Mark probably told Matt to just let Aaron be Aaron and stay out of his way. A very good bet considering they forked over that money knowing Aaron's a diva. What a disaster.

Skip greenBayless's picture

I saw total weakness and surrender when LaFleur stepped up to the podium. I saw another Justin Trudeau of Canada or Macron from France. Aaron Rodgers in my professional opinion, needed someone of strength that he respects. A Bill Parcells New Yorker type who is street smart and doesn't take shit from anyone. I thought Rex Ryan was the closest to that followed by Josh McDaniels. I know it wouldn't happen because Gutey and Murphy are clearly creampuffs. Since they were creampuffs they hired their creampuff head coach in Matt "the flower" LaFleur. Yeah, I honestly don't see this working out well. I don't like where this is going. I don't go as deep as you do Kirk since you go all the way to Murphy but we agree on the general outcome of all these moves no doubt. I am surprised that more are not in our camp.

Skip

John Kirk's picture

I think there are many actually in "our camp" that are doing everything they can to convince themselves that what has been said here isn't going to come to pass. That is why those types hammer so hard back. There's something in them that gnaws at them and if "our camp" just shuts up it'll be easier to keep the fantasy alive. To keep throwing the most likely scenario out there makes it harder to keep going with one that is less likely to those who are hoping against hope things work out.

BTW, I couldn't agree more on the type of HC Aaron needed. He needed a Parcells, Coughlin, Holmgren...someone tough, disciplined, smart and with pedigree. LaFleur may be smart but I know he's not tough and has little to no pedigree. It makes no sense to go on an extensive search and return with a guy NOBODY wanted but Magic Mark.

I don't recall if Murphy hired Korn Ferry again to assist with his search for HC (I need to look into it because I don't recall) but someone should look into that sham search for GM that ended in-house that was intended to hire Russ all along until McCarthy flipped out.

Why should that be looked into? I believe Magic Mark kicked funds to Korn Ferry knowing he was hiring in house because Mark's youngest daughter, Anna, works for Korn Ferry. I don't believe that angle has ever been covered but if Magic Mark threw money at his daughter's firm knowing he was hiring in house he should be out immediately for misallocation of funds and fraud. That's akin to embezzlement under the guise of hiring for services that he actually never used nor intended to for his daughter's firms sake. She's on the rise at Korn Ferry...I'm sure her daddy blowing Packers money on them just because Anna works there helped her cause.

sam1's picture

Notice how these two guys always agree with each ooher, most likely the same poster with two different goofy IDs!

GB Jacker's picture

Both complete and utter morons either way. A good bet they're entitled middle aged straight men who, no matter where they are or who they are with, believe they are the smartest people in the room. They've already made their decision on MLF with literally nothing to go off besides his mild manner. Lacking any semblance of humility.

Nobody in this forum really knows anything about what is going on behind the scenes, character, personality, coaching acumen etc etc. Stop speaking with such hyperbolic certainty. It's pure fantasy.

John Kirk's picture

I've already made the decision on MLF and everyone else hasn't? Do you read anyone else's comments but mine and Dash or Skip? I don't get the two ID thing.

Read the optimism that abounds because MLF is here. I've asked what that's based on? Yet, I don't know anything but those who are optimistic have more leg to stand on?

I've detailed quite nicely why I don't believe MLF should be the coach in Green Bay and why he'll fail. It's rare for anyone to actually debate me here. It's just insults and run away stuff. Real grown up stuff.

We do know certain things. Again, fans who aren't that savvy like it on the surface where it's safe for them. There are fans who spend time researching not just the Packers but the entire NFL and are up to speed on what's going on outside of the Green Bay bubble. Those people have much broader perspectives than those that read only here and at Packers.com, JS, etc. It's odd for people with such tiny perspective to lambaste those who have a much greater perspective as if they feel threatened.

We know things. Not everything...but to say we don't know and can't put things together based on available evidence and data to form very strong well thought out opinions is false. Again, those who like it surface level say things like this. It's a protection because below the surface things ain't as pretty as they are above where you wanna live.

That is fine. Just know who you are. Don't decide to pull up a chair at the big table and fire off insults from your place of tiny perspective. Go back to the kids table and yuck it up with those who think like you and want to be at that level.

Or...you could learn. It doesn't have to be from me. Just really try to understand the team you follow. I don't think most people here really want that. The need to pretend outweighs the need for the truth. Truth is ugly as I've said a lot around here. Ignorance is bliss. You can decide, today, to choose to educate yourself more. You can choose to try to chase the truth instead of settling in feel good falsehoods.

You think I'm being condescending but I don't know how else to relate to some of you. It's not an issue of me thinking I'm smarter than you. It's an issue of me knowing I care about the truth, good, bad or indifferent, and you just wanting feel-goodism to rule you. Very hard to relate to people who like koolaid and are drunk when you're sober as a judge.

IceBowl's picture

J Kirk,

YEAH, not just a hearsay piece. Logical, but still flimsy logic. Biased logic I would say.

How many of our successful, or or even unsuccessful coaches, have come here as renowned coaches as, for example, Belichek, or Payton, or Landry types, etc, etc??

Who was Holmgren when he was hired? Holmgren who? Who was McCarthy? McCarthy who? It has not been the Packs history to get "established" coaches. And we lived and died with them. It is a crap shoot. Look at the crap around the league for the last 20 - 30 years. The Pack has done pretty well comparatively.

One thing is clear, our more recent history of hires has done pretty well. I think they should have done better, but it's not perfect, and it is not all the coach.

You do not know if MLF will succeed, nor do I. I am optimistic, yes, what fan wouldn't be. What fan wouldn't trust a multi-million dollar organization to search and select it's best candidate for future success? Or do you think the Pack would go out and get a guy they don't think can do the job? It would be like hiring Bart Star, fan appeasement that didn't do well. Illogical. Or worse.

If you are sitting at the big table, (I prefer exec suite) then don't let your logic slip to feelings. They are not the same. And undermine your story.

Condescending?? Please. That implies a certain position you have not shown me.

John Kirk's picture

Mike Holmgren doesn't fit the Holmgren who? thing at all. He was OC of the Niners...the most imaginative offense in the NFL and from the formidable San Francisco dynasty. His hire made perfect sense and was a little shocking someone like him would come here back then. The Packers were known as SIberia. He and Wolf changed that perception.

Mike McCarthy was coordinator of the last place Niners offense and that Niners team was brutal. He also preferred Smith to Rodgers but we hired him anyway. I have gone off about this long before the Dunne piece. I went off about it over a decade ago. Who hires an OC from the DEAD LAST offense who didn't prefer the QB you're going to turn your franchise over to one day? Who? The Packers. My gosh. I couldn't believe it. He came in with this fake Pittsburgh tough persona. It took about two minutes to realize McCarthy was a major stepdown in the area of intellectualism. Holmgren exuded intelligence. McCarthy exuded a try hard mentality of a guy who just quite didn't have what a coach should have. He was a lot like Ted. Another try hard guy who loved the try hard guys who were just like him. These two were far from a dynamic duo. A pairing that stunted success not encouraged it. I often wonder what this team would've been had it been run by a Wolf and Holmgren. To me, there's little doubt had Holmgren and Wolf had Rodgers the sky would've been the limit and multiple Lombardis are in Green Bay over the last 14 years.

How could you sell yourself optimism on Matt LaFleur. I'll ask for the what is it 5th time, or more, why are you optimistic I trust the org is a very curious thing to say given the recent revelations and the fact that the guy who headed the search let a guy who should've had his literal keys taken away from him run the Packers organization.

LaFleur was an unmitigated FAILURE in Tennessee. That team has players on O. Henry, Davis, Taylor, it's too bad Walker got hurt. Mariota was beyond brutal. I realize for part of the year he had elbow issues but he wasn't good when he wasn't.

What reason is there to hire Matt? The quarterback is the best to ever throw it here. He's known as a dick and a guy who clearly didn't respect McCarthy. Why would you bring a rookie HC in with next to zero pedigree. It would be one thing if he'd been the OC of a team that lit the NFL on fire...that'd be different. He wasn't. He was part of a TERRIBLE Tennessee offense. What is Rodgers going to respect? He has no presence at all. He is a whispy effeminate man. He looks like the type to have his young kids run all over him. I'm not saying he is, I'm saying that is my perception of him and it's honest.

I posted this earlier...I'm starting to believe Magic Mark hired MLF because Rodgers would run over him and Murphy wants it that way. He may have figured after interviewing the uninspiring pool of guys that none of them could handle Rodgers and he may as well give 12 the one who was easiest to push over. I can't stand Magic Mark but I've never said he was stupid. He knows who Aaron is now. Would it be shocking to learn the plan wasn't to find a guy who could control him (because they clearly didn't go that route) but rather to find the one who would best enable him to just be him? You surround Aaron with Hackett and Getsy? Are you joking? No, they weren't joking. How is Rogers respecting either of those two? He has slop at WR minus Adams. I mean how is this all just working out just because?

Skip. Dash. Tell me why you use multiple ID's? Do you have any others besides the two?

I'd like to see what debating skills you actually possess. Let's get it on.

IceBowl's picture

J Kirk,

I don't "know" about multiple aliases, unless admitted/exposed as you say. Plagiarism has been recognized throughout history without being actually, absolutely proven, even in court. But some very strong evidence here for multiple aliases.

And it really make no sense, because the similar posts contain so little fact, that they can't reinforce themselves. Hearsay repeated doesn't reinforce hearsay. Baseless opinion doesn't reinforce baseless opinion. Out of context does not reinforce out of context.

You should have already recognized I have already been correcting/refuting your ambiguity, hearsay, slanted opinions, out of context information, etc. And facts are surely not "I said." Those kind of posts are not debatable. Debate is based on facts. Your posts are mostly propaganda and Alinsky teaching.

I will discuss/debate facts. You got any? And use all of your aliases for support, I won't mind

IF SO, what do you want to debate?

John Kirk's picture

I must've missed it.

MLF. Why will he be successful other than you trust the org? I detailed why trusting this org is pretty foolish.

It's my contention that there is no reason to be optimistic about LaFleur outside of the idea Magic Mark told him to just stay out of Aaron's way and let him run the team.

IceBowl's picture

J Kirk,

What a start to your debate challenge.

You start out ... "I must have missed it." OK, No foul, and i accept your apology.

Then your 1st debate point is a question?? ...."MLF. Why will he be successful other than you trust the org?" Then you come in with an "I SAID"

***You said you wanted to debate, but start with a question and then an "I SAID?" You've got to be kidding me and wasting this sites time. That is nowhere near a debate.

**** And you continue with "It's my contention......" which is just your opinion.

So you want me to debate your QUESTION and your OPINION??? Very disappointed in you Kirk.

That is an absolutely ridiculous start. I was hoping for some actual honest dialogue, back and forth you know.

Want to try again? Let's go!

and he dont know, of course, that Coughlin oldest grandson is married to Tim, the boss of Korn Ferry. And here daughter, suprise suprise, is the biggest shareholder of a big hedgefond who owns Kirks "brain". What means nothing else than chapter 11...…………

give me a break flatearthers and get something like a life

And its pretty clear that Rex Ryan is a dumb mans idea of a smart man and a weak mans idea of a stong man. so everything makes perfect sense with the praying Skiper. Who also owns one share (all his retirement savings) of that OTC fond, so he lost his only 3 cents too.

But man, this Rex Ryan guy set the world on fire wherever he was. Lost every meaningfull game with the Jets, but got a tatoo of his QB. Or in Buffalo where he put all his family in the coaching stuff just to get fired after a couple of months. Nobody missed him anywhere. Maybe besides the foot (not football) scene......

fastmoving,

ditto troll comments. Seems like the word is spreading.

No credibility.

John Kirk's picture

These are the kind of comments you should be responding to.

I'm your Greg Jennings, but you're not my Aaron Rodgers.

IceBowl's picture

J Kirk,

You know what I should be responding to?

My friend, I don't need your direction to decide what to respond to.

I have free will, not kirk will.

John Kirk's picture

It was just a suggestion.

A guy tries to be helpful...

IceBowl's picture

J Kirk,

You Should re-read your sentence. Statement, not suggestion.

You just setting me up for your debate??

Thanks so mushhy

John Kirk's picture

It was both statement and suggestion.

BTW, I saw your interaction with Montana. How could you watch the great Niners teams and then talk about "Mike Holmgren who?" That doesn't make much sense to me.

Wolf wanted Parcells first but he had heart issues at the time. He also was looking into Cowher but went with Holmgren.

IceBowl's picture

kirk,

You can;t even decide what you said to me (suggestion? LOL)

What was said when Holmgren was hired in Green Bay?? Apparently you don't know and it doesn't make sense to you. Anyone honest would say, "Holmgren WHO." That was the general feeling/thought.

Maybe you were too plugged into the NFL's coaching tree to understand Green Bay's response.

You're so darn connected.

John Kirk's picture

It does make sense to me. Holmgren was from the Walsh tree. Yeah, real disappointing hire.

If that was befuddling to you, then I can't imagine what McCarthy and LaFleur hires were to you? Sherman, also. That one was a stunner.

IceBowl's picture

kirk,

you already said that, cool. Sorry you don't get the fan's sentiment.

I was describing the general feeling in Green Bay, and the surprise to many in the football media.

I can't explain why it make no sense to you. But It is just the way it was.

You gonna debate, or change into another alias?

Tundraboy's picture

Glad he finally spoke out. This has been such nonsense. He's a competitor and yes cocky and arrogant. His pluses far outweigh the negatives, and besides I'm pretty sure every great QB was considered a dick by someone at some point. I have been a fan since '62, and there have been plenty.

IceBowl's picture

Tundraboy ,

It was a smart move for ARod to speak out. Now half the crap is out of the way, Sadly not all. He was asked about it again today. (and probably tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow, etc. And his teammates will be asked too. Just from, a mostly hearsay and opinion piece.

I also agree about the nonsense. Remember the media claiming Trump had no chance (false)?? Interpret ARod as you will, but I hope you don't let our irresponsible media to sway you. They have agendas.

They tried to elect Hillary. (sorry for the political analogy)

I don't understand dual/multiple ID's but what does that have to do with credibility? If you know Dash has a burner account that is Skip it's not really a burner account anymore. You know Skip/Dash goes by two ID's for some reason. I'd like to know why?

Skip. Dash. Tell me why you use multiple ID's? Do you have any others besides the two?

IB...you are light years more credible because it is ASSUMED you have one ID? How would any of us know you only use the one? You may have 6. I've been said to be Dash/Skip which isn't true, but it is funny.

I'd like to see what debating skills you actually possess. Let's get it on.

I must've missed it.

MLF. Why will he be successful other than you trust the org? I detailed why trusting this org is pretty foolish.

It's my contention that there is no reason to be optimistic about LaFleur outside of the idea Magic Mark told him to just stay out of Aaron's way and let him run the team.

Let's go!

Like Dislike

John Kirk's picture

I think this is the 6th or 7th time I've posed this not necessarily directed at you but I have asked you a couple of times and here's another...

Why are you optimistic on MLF? You told me you "trust the org"...which is a very weak and ridiculous line of reasoning. I already went over this but...

How do you trust Mark Murphy? He left a guy who should've had his keys taken away and put in a care facility run this franchise, He only acted because Ted was caught on camera looking unwell. Magic Mark proceeds to lie to everyone by saying Ted asked to step down so he could go scout?????? A person in Ted's condition shouldn't be leaving his house much less traversing the country scouting players.

This same Magic Mark gives McCarthy a one-year extension? Why? To avoid the appearance of lame duck status? It limited the amount of money they were willing to pay the next guy by having to pay MM not to coach for a year. Pure idiocy. The Magic Mark version of the Packers were the subject of the Dunne piece and 6-9-1. Worse than Cleveland who won ZERO games the previous season.

Mariota threw what was it? 11 TD passes in 2018? He threw for 2500 yards? Titans offense boring and ineffective. 25th in yards and 27th in points? Oh, but he shook McVay's hand and talked to him?

Sean Payton was laughing about these offensive hires saying he couldn't wait to play these teams who'd made coaching mistakes.

I watched MLF in his opening presser. Oh my... What a depressing guy he was. Total letdown. NO PRESENCE. ZIP. Very weak looking and sounding. Said not a single interesting thing or anything to inspire the fan base...even guys like you. THAT'S the guy who will coach Rodgers hard? LOL. Rodgers tells Wilde that it was "good" MLF changed his meeting seat assignment after Rodgers being in the same spot for 14 years. Aaron feels so sorry for this guy he has to pretend that he thought it was "good" that he did that. NO FREAKING CHANCE Rodgers liked that. None. Guaranteed he thought of it like he did of MM's wet ball practice drill. Imagine a new boss takes over at your company and tells you you can't park in the same spot you parked in for 14 years. Yeah, you're going to love that take charge attitude? LOL. You're going to be wondering if the guy is on drugs and why he's changing your spot after 14 years. Change for sake of change has to make Rodgers question.

The Titans were shocked he got hired. Didn't think he was ready to be a HC, but Magic Mark did. Titans might know a little more having him in their building for a season but Magic Mark was sold at dinner because he was tired of traveling around and wanted the search over. Magic Mark saw a guy he could dominate so he hired him just like he did with Brian. He knew he could dominate Brian. That's why he took hire and fire power away after saying the new GM would have it...yeah, when he was making Russ the guy.

Tell me why you're optimistic for MLF...outside of blind optimism I can't see why ANYONE would think that much less Aaron Rodgers.

IceBowl's picture

John Kirk,

You said you wanted to debate. You did, not me.

But I cautiously accepted.

I thought it could be some sort of trap plan by you, but hoped we would have the debate you asked for. You bailed! I did expect you would know what a debate is, as you challenged me. NOT!

You're not credible.

IceBowl's picture

kirks,

Why are you not debating?? You said you wanted to!!

I can only surmise, it's about the same as your other posts.

You are not credible.

dobber's picture

He's been banned, IB. Time to move on.

IceBowl's picture

dobber,

What? Where does that show up?

IceBowl's picture

dobber,

I've only been here about a week, and I don't believe I have seen you before. I could have used your advise/help debating kirkys and skip dash.

But now mt debating skills will falter. Never mind, he never intended to debate anyway.

However, he/they have other aliases that have been used to set them up or pat them on the back. Lately they seem to have added a vengeful guy.

Oh well, 1 at a time.

dobber's picture

I'm not new, but just refused to interact with them. Their kind of belittling brow-beating was not what I wanted from my time on CHTV. Dash has been banned multiple times under different names. He'll be back.

IceBowl's picture

dobber,

Funny, that's just what I posted to AI. I did't know about the previous bans, but it makes sense.

He (probably they) is/are back already.

A little pathetic maybe. But heck, he could be sitting in a Chicago prison. Who knows where?
