What could the Packers have done to get an A? That's a very good question Aaron. I think they would've gotten some A's for the draft if they had drafted a flashier player (i.e. Cooper DeJean) in the first round or had drafted Payton Wilson late in the third round instead of Ty'Ron Hopper. Those are the kind of picks that the draft graders are looking for, although of course that does not mean those are the best picks.

As for free agency, PFF said the Packers came out "slightly on top" for losing Aaron Jones, Darnell Savage, and Jon Runyon while gaining Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney. Assuming that swapping Jones for Jacobs is pretty close to even, I would say that free agency was a solid win for the Packers. McKinney is way better than Darnell Savage, and Runyan was an average starter who was splitting time with another player late in the season.

I think the Packers did about as well as could be expected in the off-season, but I can see how what they did may not look very exciting to an outsider.

These grades are completely worthless , as long as the players have not shown there value and delivered results. Look back for judgement in two or three years.
If you look now back on the 21 draft and free agent grades, you see these experts being more wrong than right.
As a fan I feel pretty ok and looking forward to the season.

They're only useless when they make Gute look bad.
You guys need to throw away the Rose colored glasses.
News -Flash - You can't blame the coach.
The third rd jinx will continue.
Yo- 3rd rd.

Tucker kraft seems like he’s just fine.
You, and any other person who actually believes there is a “third round jinx” that has to do with anything besides dumb luck is a fool.

P.s.: who’s blaming the coach, and for what? I don’t know if you saw the last 12 games or so of last season… but there weren’t a lot of complaints.

Your perpetual hard-on for manufacturing fault to pin on Gute leads you to say some spectacularly stupid stuff. Why not leave that behind and regain some credibility?

1 in the last 6 years?
Kraft wouldn't have played
if it wasn't for the injury.
And by the way- the lions got their
TE on the all - Rookie team.

You mean the guy taken 8 picks before Musgrave and 44 picks before Kraft? You know how the draft works right?

The Tes were the strength of the draft

Kraft “not playing if musgrave didn’t get hurt” is a prime example of how unbelievably clueless you are. He’s still a player. He looked good. And frankly, probably better than musgrave in the long run anyways.
