Aaron chats with Packers fans worldwide as the team eyes another veteran pass catcher prior to the NFL draft.

Rodgers doesn't need weapons he is a God who can play with and make any receiver look good. He loves the challenge to teach new arrivals the ropes and looks forward to practice in the early Spring to get the timing and routes done and prepare to kick ass next season.
NOT!
Why take a guy with high mileage who will costs more as a veteran when you can draft a TE and have youth movement. Rodgers is being paid to make it happen not be provided with with veterans to make him happy.

We don't need a TE. Tonyan is coming back. And Josiah Deguara is the future. Fixing a position for the last 4 years. Is not winning football..

Josiah Deguara was never intended to fill a pass-catching TE role. He was drafted to play H-back and be a physical presence in the ground game who can also be an occasional target to keep a defense honest in the option game. NOT the same role as TE.

Tonyan is only under contract for 2022, and is coming off an ACL injury.

Marcedes Lewis is extremely long in the tooth, UFA in 2023. (Void years in contract?)

Dominique Dafney becomes a RFA in 2023. Who really knows what Dafney is at this point?

Tyler Davis and Alize Mack... 2022 only. They have 7 career TARGETS between them (All Tyler Davis).

Oddly, you suggested that in the case of Jaire Alexander, he is replaceable, because he's not a HoF caliber player. Why doesn't that apply here? Shouldn't the Packers always be looking for the HoF caliber player, otherwise, they should be continually moving on from what they currently have?

Man, you're so all over the board.

I suggested Alexander wasn't worth the money at this Time. H- Back? After Dillion. After signing Jones. And we let Williams go. Who was better. Open your eyes. Gutey must be held accountable. We need to see more of what we got. Before we move on.

"held accountable" is a phrase from neandlertalers for idiots who are never take responsiblity for anything. they dont know what it means and they throw it around all the time. in the end it means nothing. just orange BS for guys who never worked one day in here life.
Gute is a hero and at hte Packers everyone is acountable, maybe besides the QQb. We had stupid criminals to lead this country for for years and did all kind of crimes from money fraud to murder. In every other country they would be in jail forever. So you must see there is zero accountablitity here.
Sell you stocks and watch some golf......

We're in a strange situation at TE, aren't we Oppy?

With Tonyan, Lewis, DeGuara, et. al. we SEEM to have a decent TE room, but it's all smoke-and-mirrors.

I like the TEs in this draft (but I've said that for the past few years...:-D), so I'm in favor of drafting one or two. In my mocks, there is always good value at TE at 93, but I don't trust the simulators at ALL. I do think there may be some hidden gems available in the fourth--I could see BG targeting one there.

Short form: Yes, the Packers need to add to the TE room, that is, unless you think it's wise to wait until everyone in the TE room has expiring contracts all at once.

I actually saw a post on social media about the Packers still pursuing a trade with the Raiders for Waller, and the post credited the source as " @Aaron Nagler per CheeseheadTV".

I laughed a bit because I had just watched Aaron tell us all that this is the time for lies deceit and misdirection and to not trust any reports. Lol.

What's worse? "According to anonymous sources" or "According to Aaron Nagler...even though it's the opposite of what he was saying"?

With 11 picks and a deep pool of undrafted free agents, I would be more than happy to give up 1 of those picks after the first day for a top 5 TE even if hes 30 and wants to get paid. If you draft one it will be 2 or 3 years before he reaches the level of production that Waller can offer this year, if ever.

Go get him Gute.

"Top 5 TE" Maybe a couple years ago... He has a lot of receptions, but Carr has force-fed him. His production per target is very average.
Kelce, Kittle, Hockenson, Pitts, Andrews, Fant, Goedert, Henry, Gesicki, Ertz, Freiermuth, Gronkowski...
